Lilina (Fire Emblem: Sword of Seals) v Riki (SaGa Frontier) - Inflict Charm, profit. Lilina wishes FE6 Thunder had an innate damage bonus to Dragons~

Do you not see status running into FE Res or something?  Because Lilina's is nearly twice average, which is pretty huge considering we're talking about a OPB status that is presumeably less than 100% accurate here and he is getting 2HKO'd if he doesn't buff defense.

Even if the charm hits Lilina, Riki uses those turns to do... what exactly? The status only lasts maybe 2-3 turns (effectively one less if you're slow), and Charmed characters won't self-target themselves with ST attacks in Saga Frontier (or FE6 for that matter). So it's pretty much a glorified paralyse, and it doesn't buy Riki enough turns with which to outslug because his damage sucks.

Maybe.

Giving him turns to attack without counters is pretty decent. And his damage is low, but so is Lilina PDur IIRC? Also, he can conceivably follow it up with Mess, but Mess mechanics are who knows what, so I didn't want to think about that.

Riki doesn't even 4HKO Lilina, and NEB's topic doesn't specifiy whether it's Red Mess or Blue Mess, for all that Red Mess doesn't help Riki any in all likelyhood (whoo she can still attack him while confused~) and that Blue Mess is utterly worthless (whoo turnskip that happens every never~).

It's red, for what it's worth. Also, no way are both rings successfully landing on Lilina; even one is a stretch. While rare (I'd say less than 10%) I -have- seen both fail, and they use the same formula as various magical status attacks from what I can tell from the game data IIRC.

*checks stat topic*
Huh, okay, I didn't realize that Black Dragon Riki was still sitting at the 8HKO to average mark. I thought it was closer to 5HKO normally, and would be closer to 3HKO against Lilina's Pdur.

Vote changed, but what is Riki even doing in Middle with an 8HKO?

Non-lightning durabilities are pretty good and buffable and he's got good initiative healing.  Doesn't make waves but it's not terrible.

IN general, most lights just can't handle someone with solid durability and infinite (good) healing.  Middles have more tricks and can thus handle him, but even then he's hardly a total loser.

Also he makes pretty much every SRW PC without Zeal break out in a cold sweat, and those can be pretty evil.  Just had to get that out there.

Godlike

Yurika Misamaru (Super Robot Taisen Series) v Fou-lu (Breath of Fire IV) - Nadesico is wrong.
Reicher (Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy) v Zophar (Lunar: Eternal Blue Complete)
Taupy Toplan (Sands of Destruction) v Myria (Breath of Fire Series)
Adramelk (Laggy Fantasy Tactics) v Xorn (Grandia III)

Heavy

Domon Kasshu (Super Robot Taisen Series) v Weltall 2 (Xenogears) - Still have Shining instead of Burning, so not voting on Domon just yet.
Puniyo (Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy) v Zed (Wild ARMs) - Kneejerk
Viese Blanchimont (Atelier Iris: The Azoth of Destiny) v Cathedral (Xenosaga: Jenseits von Gut und Bose)
Ghost Ship (Etrian Odyssey III: The Drowned City) v Arnaud G. Vasquez (Wild ARMs 4) - I remember evasion making Ghost Ship distinctly unhappy. So gonna give Arnaud the nod here.

Middle

Lilina (Fire Emblem: Sword of Seals) v Riki (SaGa Frontier)
Lilianne Valendorf (Mana Khemia: Fall of Alchemy) v Lilly Pendragon (Suikoden III)
Cornet Espoir (Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure) v Yosuke Hanamura (Persona 4)
Luso (Final Fantasy Tactics Series) v Ramza Beolve (Final Fantasy Tactics) - All fairly straightforward matches.

Light

Cheripha (Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume) v Beautifly (Pokémon)
Bibarel (Pokémon) v Vinsfeld Rhadamanthus (Wild ARMs 2)
Lassi (Magical Starsign) v Kahn (Breath of Fire IV) - Not entirely sure here. The speed she has, but the durability she does not. Gonna kneejerk for her here.
Saki (Luminous Arc) v Kain Highwind (Final Fantasy IV)

Ghost Ship has an evade debuff (-200%!) and Leg Bind (shuts off evasion completely!) attached to the same skill.  They only last about 3 turns though but it's probably enough.

I also have to mention Tentarafoo is like -turn four- at endgame levels. Yosuke's horrible Luck+the poor base hit+no status boost = eeeeeeeeeeeew.

Argh.  Totally forgot about thsi yesterday.  Will update sometime in the wee hours tonight.

Godlike

Yurika Misamaru (Super Robot Taisen Series) v Fou-lu (Breath of Fire IV)
Reicher (Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy) v Zophar (Lunar: Eternal Blue Complete)
Taupy Toplan (Sands of Destruction) v Myria (Breath of Fire Series)- No Vote.
Adramelk (Laggy Fantasy Tactics) v Xorn (Grandia III)- No Vote.

Heavy

Domon Kasshu (Super Robot Taisen Series) v Weltall 2 (Xenogears)- Huh.  Domon's base evade is rather a lot higher than the rest of his cast.  Lets him stretch out his uses of Wall well enough I suppose.
Puniyo (Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy) v Zed (Wild ARMs)- I'll trust the elf in this.
Viese Blanchimont (Atelier Iris: The Azoth of Destiny) v Cathedral (Xenosaga: Jenseits von Gut und Bose)
Ghost Ship (Etrian Odyssey III: The Drowned City) v Arnaud G. Vasquez (Wild ARMs 4)- No vote.

Middle

Lilina (Fire Emblem: Sword of Seals) v Riki (SaGa Frontier)
Lilianne Valendorf (Mana Khemia: Fall of Alchemy) v Lilly Pendragon (Suikoden III)
Cornet Espoir (Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure) v Yosuke Hanamura (Persona 4)
Luso (Final Fantasy Tactics Series) v Ramza Beolve (Final Fantasy Tactics)- p...robably.

Light

Cheripha (Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume) v Beautifly (Pokémon)
Bibarel (Pokémon) v Vinsfeld Rhadamanthus (Wild ARMs 2)
Lassi (Magical Starsign) v Kahn (Breath of Fire IV)- no vote
Saki (Luminous Arc) v Kain Highwind (Final Fantasy IV)- No vote.
