DRAMA:
Virgil's Exit (Xenosaga 3) vs Finding Elina (BoFIV): Man this scene is gut-wrenching. Virgil's exit is excellent but suffers from us being a bit less attached to the hopes and dreams of the characters involved. It's a consequence partly of Elina being about the main PCs instead of a secondary villain, and of the fact that it was built up to nicely over the course of the entire game.
Might vs Right (SH2) vs Ferid and Arshstat (Suikoden 5): Oh man, this is finals-worthy. Actually, the drama final four are just amazing in general. I think Virgil's exit is the worst of the four and I don't think I've voted against it yet. Or any of these actually. Good show DL. Anyway, I've never made any secret of the fact that I consider the Ferid/Arshtat scene -the- most effective dramatic/tragic scene I've ever seen in an RPG, so yeah, vote here is evident enough.

Leblanc's Back Rub (Final Fantasy X-2) vs Chu-Chu died for your sins (Xenogears): I'm not terribly happy with this finals given some of the truly awesome meme-worthy scenes that fell by the wayside (Xorn, liiiight, whatamifightingfor, etc.). That said I'm more amused by the writers winking at us with crucified Chu-Chu.

Might vs Right (SH2) vs Ferid and Arshstat (Suikoden 5)- So whoever wins this one is the champ.  Which I figured out earlier, so I rewatched both.
For raw emotional punch, you really can't beat the Arshtat scene.  The acting works well, it's tense and has several shifts in tone that really keep you invested.  A lot of the game is built around that one scene, the entire beginning building up Arshtat's growing detachment from reality and Ferid's sexiness, as well as the main focal point of the character drama being Lym and the heroes trying to help her.
Might vs Right is entirely Yuri at his nadir, and it's interesting in its own right, in part because it's just not the sort of scene you see done.  The hero pounding on a decrepit villain is fine for shock value, but that's not really what I mean here; what's different is that not only do we see that this is a villain where beating him up does absolutely no good, but that there's not even any satisfaction.  Ishimura has a finger in every tragedy in Yuri's life, his every action an unintentional taunt to a man who's buried everyone he ever loved.  Yuri's a man of action, who thinks with his fists.  And yet, reaching his breaking point and beating up the old man... gives him nothing.  He's not pounding away any frustration or delivering well deserved justice.  He's beating up an old man.  It's also, of course, the turning point in the character.  To this point he'd been marked by a combination of mourning and deepening despair, effectively, as noted by Gepetto way back in chapter 1, looking for a place to die.  Or, rather, a cause worth his own life, something he'd lost along with Alice.  Here's where he himself sees that he's just been lost, blundering about from place to place without knowing what to do.  He followed the road to the end and there was nothing there, if that makes any sense.

So what I'm getting at here is this; fittingly, the finals of this contest are a matter of weighing the value of the strength of a singular scene against the holistic value of the scene in context.  While neither of the finalists are lacking in either category, else they wouldn't be here, they're still easily separated by different strengths in those fields.  But as might be expected, in the end...

Might vs Right (SH2) vs Ferid and Arshstat (Suikoden 5) - This is close. Cmdr's argument for SH2 almost swayed me, but S5 plays just a little more to my biases.
