Rei (Saga) vs Gafgarion (FFT): Goes through Glass Shield, blocks fatal status.
Rei vs Duran (SD3): I imagine she can withstand one Duran turn, and strike him down with a turn 2 Reaper.
Rei vs Massimo (MMXCM): Mm, okay, Glass Shield does stop almost all the mec programs/parts which Berserk Charge most reminds me of. It misses only Satellite Beam (which is a weird, setup field attack) and Shoot-All (maybe). So Massimo has no way around Glass Shield and uh gets petrified anyway I'd expect.
Rei vs Gerik (FE8): WIL-maxed Rei has 57% chance of instant death, Gerik's res adds 15% to status odds. But... it's attached to damage, and Gerik has some evade. But... mm. Rei can buy herself a second turn with Glass Shield spam until a double (only once, but..) then survive a Hand Axe counter to the first Reaper if necessary.
Rei vs Kraken (FF1): Glass Shield versus pure melee. Doubt INK gets rid of it, pure status moves... usually don't in Saga, though there are plenty of exceptions. edit: Kraken's damage is explicitly multihit, even if the animation isn't... whatever, not going to fault him for primitive animation mechanics. HE HAS EIGHT ARMS.
Rei vs Sophia (SO3): Sophia's damage sucks and she can only block one status.
Rei vs Locke (FF6): Locke goes on with the Wing Edge so no Glass Shield... and only 3HKOs. Again: Locke only 3HKOs Rei. So yeah she lives to get off two Reapers. If Locke uses the Valiant Knife, then Locke 2HKOs and... has a 7-6, so needs to withstand four Glass Shield backlashes and Rei's fifth turn... which will be used for a 100% accurate Mystic Sword. Yikes. Alternatively Reaper might just be turn 1 against Locke MDef.
Rei vs Palmer (FF7): Runs him out of MP.
Rei vs Dahna (G3): Turn 2 petrify, can take a hit.
Rei vs Serph (DDS): As before, her JP hold out long enough for one doubleturn, and then she gets two shots at status.
Rei vs Zhuzhen (SH1): Emptyin' the SP.
Yikes. She's so easy to spoil (outspeed her, or both OHKO her and be above avearge speed, or block status) but this field is awful at doing it. Literally the only fast duellers are Gafgarion and LOCKE who manages to lose anyway.
Priest (FFT) vs Gafgarion (FFT): Should 2HKO with Holy... except Gaf heals in the middle to survive that. Equpping to get three Holies ends up with a similar problem (never mind that she'll likely be 3HKOed). She can try to tank behind Protect but that wears off kinda quickly and it cuts into her MP too much, probably.
Priest vs Duran (SD3): Yeah, his MP reserves are much deeper (he can use his powerful healing about as many times as Priest can use her weakest healing, and doesn't worry about running offence off said MP). Duran's damage is bad, but Priest's non-Holy damage is worse, so Duran puts on more pressure, too.
Priest vs Massimo (MMXCM): Priest can maintain Protect to withstand what Massimo does, even tanking one heal-locking Power Charged physical. She can physically attack on those turns. Though... Massimo may just use Berserk Charge to status her. And this strategy of Priest's leaves no room for blitzing with one Holy (one at most, against Massimo's monstrous HP). And there's an argument that MMAXM crits go through Protect.
Priest vs Gerik (FE8): Can tank two Gerik hits, and 2HKO with Holy. ... but not with the same setup. But one extra physical will do the job. So... tank hit, Protect, take hit, heal, take hit, Holy, take hit, (Protect wears off), Holy, take hit, physical. Protect and Regen buy her that time. If Gerik goes for crits then Priest doesn't need to heal as quickly, plus me and respecting crits. Hand Axe is interesting, though... that's not too much less damage. Yeah, think Priest can't overwhelm Hand Axe offence. Close though.
Priest vs Kraken (FF1): OHKOs with a power-optimised Holy, isn't OHKOed.
Priest vs Sophia (SO3): Should tank and grind down Priest MP, I imagine.
Priest vs Locke (FF6): Locke offence, kinda bad.
Priest vs Palmer (FF7): White Robe, and can probably run her out of MP.
Priest vs Dahna (G3)
Priest vs Serph (DDS): I have not much to say here.
Priest vs Zhuzhen (SH1): White Robe + Thief Hat + Magic Ring, stall until he runs out of SP.
