Usual "stat topic only, no Gen5" disclaimer.  The Jackal may be too much for Middle, but he *is* genuinely spoiled by infinite healing, and infinite healing backed by defense buffing is even worse.  Leech Seed, buff defense, won't be KOed by a desperation string.  (Still, Jackal definitely beats some Middle healers who don't have deep enough resources - he's like 3.33 PCHP *before support credit*, the threatened 3x string makes them heal before they'd like to, and lots of Middle healers have bad damage, so they just plain run out of healing.)

Serperior (Pokémon) vs The Jackal (Bravely Default): I'm not sure how fast Jackal is, but probably not as fast as Serperior. And... from there, Coil/Leech Seed. Even if you only see Leech Seed healing 1/8 of a normal PC's HP, that's probably enough. Coil spam wrecks Jackal's damage pretty bad (even after just opening with it, Jackal 8HKOs or 4HKOs if he braves... Leech Seed already takes care of this). To make matters worse I'm inclined to let Leech Seed drain 1/8 of Jackal's HP which just makes this a surprisingly curbstompy match considering I was definitely worried Jackal (rather than Serperior) was too much for the division.

Light

Archer (Final Fantasy Tactics) vs Rubella (Child of Light): Gut vote of "Archer matches up against Rubella strictly worse than Luke did"... Archer has less damage, no overlimit, and his damage starts suffering against those who are fast since he won't be able to get off the charges he needs. From there, thinking Rubella's healing should hold out.

Archer (Final Fantasy Tactics) vs Rubella (Child of Light) - Yeah I doubt evade actually tips things here, archer damage isn't scary enough and there's Rubella's counter healing to consider on top of everything else here.

Persephone (Wild ARMs 5) vs Sora (Kingdom Hearts Series) - This is much closer than most people give it credit for. First, this only applies if you vote on KH1 Sora. I haven't done the math for KH2 Sora. Second, note that because of Second Wind/Chance, Sora can only be killed if Persephone can 'triple turn' him. That is, she needs a turn to prep Gatling Gun, a turn for Gatling Gun and a follow up turn to kill Sora. Assuming Sora is average and using NEB's data on Persephone, we get the following:

Persephone on base - 125% average
Persephone after Quicken - 147% average

Persephone - Cast Quicken (80th Clocktick)
Sora - Ars Arcanum (100th Clocktick)
Persephone - Targetting: ON (134th Clocktick)
Persephone - Gatling Gun (168th Clocktick)
Sora - Curaga (200th Clocktick)
Persephone - Targetting: ON (236th Clocktick)
Persephone - Gatling Gun (276th Clocktick)
Sora - Curaga (300th Clocktick)
Persephone - Targetting: ON (338th Clocktick)
Persephone - Gatling Gun (372th Clocktick)
Sora - Curaga (400th Clocktick)

And so on. Sora's only chance is to kill Persephone first, which he has a good argument for. Ars Arcanum deals 2.69x average, so if you see Persephone as only about 2 PCHP, he will 2HKO first. Otherwise, Persephone wins through heal locking. Even though Sora can stay afloat with Curaga forever (MP Rage ensures he will never run out of MP), he won't get a chance to do Curaga -> Ars Arcanum safely because he is naturally slower.
