The first round's still open, I just want to get this posted while I have time. I am including a bonus unranked fighter in each division. It's a low to chew on, so take your time/etc!


Rauny (OB)-Interesting fighter. Barely 2HKOS, good stats but very reliant on thunder damage.
Sara (BoD7)- Borderline healer type. Should be fun to see in action.
Serge (CC)- Average stats, no blockers, a little slow on the draw. I kneejerk him in low heavy, let's see how he does.
Albel (SO3)- The drain game returns!
Elsa (FM4)- Solid 2HKO and evasion/counters, but not overwhelming.

Rauny vs Ryu (BoF1)- Should 2HKO first. If Ryu can scrape up any thunder defense this vote changes.
Rauny vs Levin (XF)- I don't think Levin can stop a 2HKO? Rauny has enough evade to make Cancel Strike pretty chance on the whole and Rushing Beat won't be too effective either.
Rauny vs Chocobo Eater (FFX)- Too much durability.
Rauny vs Lezard Valeth (VP2)- Halves thunder. Rauny's not outslugging with her physical. E: Guh Lezard doesn't have heal, this gets ugly then. Abstainf or now.
Rauny vs Aggron (PKMN)- Aggron does not like magic he doesn't resist.
Rauny vs Elena (G2)- Heal lock. Status defense makes her sad.
Rauny vs Raven (FE7)- 2HKO first. Has enough speed to not be doubled as well.

Elsa (FM4) vs Sofia (DQ4)- Yeah, likely. Elsa damage is too spiky to heal lock Sofia.
Elsa vs Ryu (BoF1)- Wrong damage type.
Elsa vs Levin (XF)- Evasive with counters is not Levin's friend.
Elsa vs Chocobo Eater (FFX)- Think the HP carries the day. Elsa has piercing damage (HAR) and counters but Chocobo Eater has a fuckton of HP to burn through.
Elsa vs Lezard Valeth (VP2)- Kneejerk Elsa winning the speed tiebreak, so she should 2HKO first?
Elsa vs Aggron (PKMN)- Ugly.
Elsa vs Elena (G2)- Status resistance gives Elena problems and she's a little on the fragile side (No evasion) so the heal lock is a thing.
Elsa vs Raven (FE7)- Raven might have enough durability to avoid a 2HKO, which makes this easy.
Elsa vs Rose (LoD)- Rose without SP is really bad.
Elsa vs Squall (FF8)- Easily 2HKOs.
Elsa vs Dekar (Lufia 2)- Think so. Too much durability, even with counters.

Sara (BoD7) vs Sofia (DQ4)- Stun.
Sara vs Ryu (BoF1)- Think so? She's 3HKOing Ryu and that's really bad.
Sara vs Levin (XF)- Stun.
Sara vs Chocobo Eater (FFX)- Should be able to stall Chocobo Eater out.
Sara vs Lezard Valeth (VP2)- ID.
Sara vs Aggron (PKMN)- Has magic.
Sara vs Elena (G2)- Nightmare staff? Sure. If Nightmare staff misses Elena is hosed but strong kneejerk it doesn't.
Sara vs Raven (FE7)- Faster.
Sara vs Rose (LoD)- Rose vs Holy magic ends badly. Rose is pretty terrible without SP though so yeah, doesn't say much.

Albel (SO3) vs Sofia (DQ4)- Sleep gives Albel fits.
Albel vs Ryu (BoF1)- Albel against that kind of defense. No.
Albel vs Levin (XF)- Huh, I think this is the first match Levin has won in the pools for me. Bad luck there.
Albel vs Chocobo Eater (FFX)- Albel really does not like high defense.
Albel vs Lezard Valeth (VP2)- Blocks ID.
Albel vs Aggron (PKMN)- That defense makes Albel sad.
Albel vs Elena (G2)- Kneejerk.
Albel vs Raven (FE7)- Draining is not going to cut it, Raven has a ton of offense and some evasion.
Albel vs Rose (LoD)- Block ID, win.
Albel vs Squall (FF8)- Should be able to avoid a limit.
Albel vs Dekar (Lufia 2)- No MP to drain is bad for Albel, Dekar easily outlasts.

Albel is what he is. Some status and draining. Low Heavy's about right.

Serge (CC) vs Sofia (DQ4)- Fendspell. Serge does not like losing his best damage. He might be able to monkey a 2HKO otherwise but I kind of doubt it, he doesn't even 2HKO average without a tech. >_< Spoilers: Serge is going to do badly.
Serge vs Ryu (BoF1)- Defense. Having magic damage helps but Serge's physical is useless. I don't think he can 2HKO here.
Serge vs Levin (XF)
Serge vs Chocobo Eater (FFX)- Too much durability.
Serge vs Lezard Valeth (VP2)- ID. Just to be really insulting, Lezard resists holy so a blitz is out.
Serge vs Aggron (PKMN)- Should be able to kill with his two magic techs.
Serge vs Elena (G2)- Nightmare staff, sure.
Serge vs Raven (FE7)- Oh god, evasion and counters vs Serge. This'll be ugly.
Serge vs Rose (LoD)- OHKO, Rose vs Holy damage ends badly.
Serge vs Squall (FF8)- Chips past a limit, sure.
Serge vs Dekar (Lufia 2)- Is not chipping past that kind of tanking.


Serge isn't much of a Heavy. Oh boy, 3HKO at base and a few limited shots of an easily resisted element.

Elsa (FM4) vs Sofia (DQ4) - Not sure.  The damage spikiness could kick in at the wrong time but Sofia could just win before that happens.  Probably Sofia though, Elsa kind of needs the favor of the RNG here I'd think.
Elsa vs Ryu (BoF1) - Don't think so?
Elsa vs Levin (XF) - Levin vs. the evasive, that can't end well.
Elsa vs Chocobo Eater (FFX) - I'm not sure how much credit I'd give FM4 Piercing damage getting around FFX Armored... but her damage is quite spiky, she counters, and Perfect Shot is something I'd be ameniable to see getting past Armored even if she couldn't normally.  The problem is more that uh Chocobo Eater 2HKOs if he hits and while Elsa is evasive she's also giving him a lot of time.
Elsa vs Aggron (PKMN) - uh.  Elsa really hopes you have a lot of respect for Perfect Shot's activation rate here.
Elsa vs Elena (G2) - Hmmm, do I see Nightmare Ball running into some status resist here?  Probably not, Sleep seems pretty distinct from what jammer backpacks do flavorwise.
Elsa vs Raven (FE7) - Probably not, Raven's not super accurate and can't double with hand axes.
Elsa vs Rose (LoD)
Elsa vs Poo (EB) - Don't see Shield as being terribly useful here.  It is a nice thought though.
Elsa vs Squall (FF8) - Sure.
Elsa vs Dekar (Lufia 2) - Don't think Dekar can really safely attack here unless it's to OHKO unless the RNG really favors him, the evade's a thing.

[DragonKnight Zero]

  Did an informal test with Elsa with Perfect Shot and no other offensive skills.  Out of 54 attacks, Perfect Shot activated 12 times.  The 10th activation came right on attack #50 which I'm tempted to use since it makes the numbers come out at an even 20%.

Elsa vs Squall (FF8): I'll buy the 2HKO argument.
Elsa vs Dekar (Lufia 2); Headache.  Metal Mail full heal and Dekar's enormous physical durability gives him an argument of running Elso out of ammo.  But he's sooooo slow.

Serge vs Levin (XF) - Levin Cancel Strike locks Serge until he dies.
Serge vs Chocobo Eater (FFX) - Think Super's right. Serge has a shot if he has healing. But the 1% Regen he has or whatever isn't enough >_>.
Serge vs Lezard Valeth (VP2) - As long as Lezard's ID is turn 2, he should take this. Resisting Holy means he will pull it off by then.
Serge vs Aggron (PKMN) - I'm not sure if Serge's 2 shots of magic damage are enough here actually. Aggron's pretty tanky. Tentative Aggron vote until someone maths it out at least.
Serge vs Elena (G2) - Sleep locked by Nightmare Staff. Gj Serge
Serge vs Raven (FE7) - Counters wreck Serge pretty badly let alone the Evade. To make things worse, Raven could probably open with a 1-2 ranged weapon to gain the initiative.
Serge vs Poo (EB) - Poo's lack of offense and resource pool kills him here. How is he making headway without Serge threatening him with a big combo chain? Shield doesn't scare him (Mastermune crits means that it will break the shield in a hit) and if he tries for a blitz, he gets 2HKO'd first because EB damage average.
Serge vs Squall (FF8) - CC characters are at least good at limit damaging. Squall is bad and should feel bad.

2-6. Lacks the tricks to really be in Heavy and doesn't have the speed/status protection to win draws.

Albel vs Levin (XF) - More Cancel Strike locks.
Albel vs Chocobo Eater (FFX) - Kneejerk.
Albelvs Lezard Valeth (VP2) - Elemental Leather and blocks ID. Lezard is horribly owned by this combination.
Albel vs Aggron (PKMN) - Physicals against Aggron that don't strike weakness are not going to cut it. Even if he had a Water elemental weapon, you still want Magic damage cause Aggron's Pdur is something inane.
Albel vs Elena (G2) - SO3 didn't catch Sleep. So Sleep locking strikes again.
Albel vs Raven (FE7) - The counters really don't help Albel. At least there aren't doubles?
Albelvs Poo (EB) - The draining takes out Poo's paltry resources. He then proceeds to beat him down with his NORMALS -_-
Albelvs Squall (FF8) - Albel has no issues with damage control thanks to being able to control his combo and determining whether to use a Minor BS/Major BS.

3-5. Draining is cool, as is hitting MP. He lacks that something though which makes him a Borderliner.

Elsa vs Levin (XF) - As if the Evasion wasn't enough, Elsa can also counter. lol.
Elsa vs Chocobo Eater (FFX) - Elsa's evasive but she's not dodgy enough to outlast Choco Eater's HP. She has to pray for Perfect Shot procs on a chain to really blitz him down.
Elsa vs Lezard Valeth (VP2) - Elsa should win the draw. I'm not sure how I feel about the ID anyway since it could hit a wrong part (previous FM games have ID and it's part specific), and Lezard's not winning otherwise.
Elsa vs Aggron (PKMN) - See above matches involving Aggron. Like Chocobo Eater, Elsa's only shot is to chain multiple Perfect Shots together. No.
Elsa vs Elena (G2) - The closest Sleep comes to is All System Down. The duration is about the same too I think? But whether or not you think it synonymous, well, YMMV. Elsa wins if you see her resisting it though. Without Nightmare Ball, Elena can't lock down Elsa and there's enough Recharge on heavier moves that she probably risks getting doubled.
Elsa vs Raven (FE7) - Both evade and counter but Elsa has range. Random's right - Raven being weighed down by Hand Axes hurts him in this somewhat mirror like match up
Elsa vs Poo (EB) - Poo's resource issues are a major recurring problem. This match kind of highlights this since he could probably win by throwing up Shield and then healing until he gets free turns. As is, Shield only delays the inevitable. If he tries to heal, Elsa will eventually get a big enough chain, which along with counters wreck him. If he tries to Blitz, he'll run out of resources faster and she just mows him down.
Elsa vs Squall (FF8) - Equips a weaker weapon on an off hand to chip at worse. Once again, Squall is bad. 

6-2. Evade and Counter. Like a FE dueller, but with range, and the possibly to open up a huge amount of damage. Pretty fun all things considered.

Sara vs Ryu (BoF1): Sara buffs her magic into a 2HKO. I don't think Ryu can do anything about it... Transform -> Sara Buff -> Sara Attack-> Ryu (Doesn't OHKO) -> Sara finishes the KO.
Could go... Sara Buff -> Ryu attack -> Sarah Attack -> Ryu attack -> Ryu Transform... Sarah 2HKOs... being slower really sucks for Ryu.

Rauny Vinzalf vs Ryu (BoF1) - Ryu actually can scrounge some Lightning res... but he has to deal with her evasion. But I guess I'll give him the benefit of doubt.
Rauny Vinzalf vs Levin Brenton (XF) - Cancel Strike isn't very useful against Rauny's effective multi-acting, honestly. To make matters worse, there's the evade.
Rauny Vinzalf vs Chocobo Eater (FFX) - Yeah, there's a bit of a pure slugging disparity here.
Rauny Vinzalf vs Lezard Valeth (VP2) - Lezard halves Lightning, which makes Rauny's case pretty difficult. Spiritual Thorn likely lands before she finishes him off.
Rauny Vinzalf vs Aggron (PKMN) - Aggron's mdur against elements he can't resist is pretty trashy and the speed split doesn't help his case. Oh well.
Rauny Vinzalf vs Elena (G2) - Elena has enough mdur to stave off the 2HKO against Rauny, so she probably has -some- success alternating Nightmare Ball and healing. She also might be able to get something of a buffing game going, but this is frankly simpler.
Rauny Vinzalf vs Raven (FE7) - Rauny: avoids counters, goes first, avoids being doubled and hits Raven's sketchy mdur. Yeah, she has this.
Rauny Vinzalf vs Rose (LoD) - One of these days, I'll be convinced to allow starting SP to LoD PCs.
Rauny Vinzalf vs Poo (EB) - So yeah, Poo has no thunder res and no real way to stave off Rauny's slugging. He may even get a double before running out of PP, but what the hell can he do with it?
Rauny Vinzalf vs Squall Leonhart (FF8) - Squall's above average mdur, no? And he 2HKOs Rauny as is.
Rauny Vinzalf vs Dekar (Lufia 2) - Man. Rauny constantly 3-2s Dekar and 3HKOs him fairly flat. He may well not be able to even heal on the first turn (and he -has to-) depending on how you view IP gauge access in-between turns. Gladius could be an option, but even at full power Holy Energy doesn't OHKO - when it hits - because of Rauny's elemental res, and afterwards he just dies. He just gets locked forever in the best of cases.
