The same thing he always does! Try to serenade her, and while she is distracted, turn the Guitar into a Flamethrower or Rocket Launcher (depends on his mood), finish the fight that way...assuming asking them to give up doesn't work, naturally.
Unfortunately, Ricardo didn't consider that Lani would aim for his guitar before he had a chance to play even the first line of music, thereby destroying his strategy completely.
