Tragedy Industries, who has done things like this before, is selling a 'limited-edition authentic silver-plated 20 dollar piece of Liberian currency' as a tribute to 9/11. The commercial says it's being sold for face-value (20 dollars). Which is good...unless you already picked up on that it's Liberian currency. As in Liberia, the country. And how much does 20 Liberian dollars go for when converted? 32 US cents.

Damn it I hate when one religion tries to enforce its views on everyone. If you want to practice a religion, regardless if it consists of you praying at an altar, becoming a miko, believing in Vishnu, it's perfectly fine. If you wish to live by your morals, die by your morals, that's OK. Just don't throw your beliefs on other people who don't want them. There's a reason they don't want them, and that's because they love living how they are. Once again, if you find peace, redemption, and/or love and hope in religion, I don't mind at all. I somehow doubt that given that that is, in fact, the option they want people to take. The goal is to try and wean people away from earthly pleasures so that they can properly focus on spiritual pleasures and the Kingdom of God. So, encouraging people not to have sex for any reason aside from making more good little Catholic/Protestant (I'm pretty sure the South isn't that Catholic, though that could be changing with the increased Spanish/Mexican presence) babies in the proper confines of wedlock and with no thoughts at all about pleasure or enjoyment or, God forbid, recreation.

So, abstinance pledges and avoiding extramarital sex are never going to be condemned by the faithful because that is the goal they're aiming for.

Now, what I'm worried about is when they try and move from the Pill and other chemical options to physical barriers such as condoms. Hell, Condoms are already pretty close to being on the line due to spermicidal gels used to coat them, which... yeah.

Now, the interesting thing will be to see if this is actually quashed or not, and the reasons given for why that decision was reached.
