Topics in this Diablo 3 board thread include racial slurs, rants about the racism and 'white devils', 'black' vs 'African-American', disputes over D2 Paladin's skin color, slavery and who does or does not deserve blame for it, and Ron Paul.  Proper punctuation and grammar is another matter, though.

I wonder if the Ron Paul supporter is just too lazy to change his sig or buys into the whole 'SECRET SUPERMAJORITY THAT WILL OVERCOME MCCAIN AT THE CONVENTION' theory that the die-hards have developed.

Tragedy Industries, who has done things like this before, is selling a 'limited-edition authentic silver-plated 20 dollar piece of Liberian currency' as a tribute to 9/11. The commercial says it's being sold for face-value (20 dollars). Which is good...unless you already picked up on that it's Liberian currency. As in Liberia, the country. And how much does 20 Liberian dollars go for when converted? 32 US cents.

Fuck these people.

Oh... this is just priceless. There's many great "FFXIII confirmed for 360 I'm a dumbass but I'm going to fake anger" posts on message boards (and I'm trying to track down my favorite, which I saw in a YTMND, on GameFAQs but that's like scuba diving in a cesspool) but this one is exceptionally awesome.

Wow... just wow. You know, it really plagues my mind that I used to visit that place on somewhat of a daily basis. The only reason I still go on GameFAQs is the original reason it was founded... Game-related FAQs. -_-

I'd say that list was clearly compiled by OK if it weren't for the fact that Bowman is only #4.

I liked the part about female non-mains getting more screen time than males, that was a funny one.

NO WE DON'T NEED SILLY THINGS LIKE COURTS TO PASS LAWS LETS DO IT BY FIAT NO WE WON'T BE MAKING HORRIBLY HYPOCRITICAL LAWS THAT PASS MORAL JUDGEMENT ON SOMETHING THAT ALMOST ASSUREDLY SHOULD BE A FAMILY'S OWN CHOICE TO START WITH WHAT DO YOU MEAN.

To boot I hate the base argument just because I've never gotten what horrible suffering it's supposed to be to a "child" who consists of a cell to die. There's nothing in there to suffer!

The only people that even have a remote religious issue there, or should, are Catholics because damned if the Catholics didn't doctrine up frigging Limbo! Then again without that, they'd probably go with OMG THEY'RE ALL DAMNED ANYWAYS! Because they're retards who have to overthink this crap even though there's no basis anywhere for any of their religious theorums! But that doesn't matter because THEY CAN MAKE THEIR OWN DAMNED CHOICES TO START WITH WITHOUT FORCING THEM ON THOSE THAT DISAGREE ANYWAYS.

...

No, this doesn't annoy me or anything.

The scary part is it wasn't headlines everywhere.  I know the New York Times at least reported it, Washington Post too, I think, but not as a big deal.  which of course it is.

Damn it I hate when one religion tries to enforce its views on everyone. If you want to practice a religion, regardless if it consists of you praying at an altar, becoming a miko, believing in Vishnu, it's perfectly fine. If you wish to live by your morals, die by your morals, that's OK. Just don't throw your beliefs on other people who don't want them. There's a reason they don't want them, and that's because they love living how they are. Once again, if you find peace, redemption, and/or love and hope in religion, I don't mind at all. Just don't force me into it. I have my beliefs, I have my reasons, and I have my gods and goddesses, and you have yours. Keep it that way.

And now you're telling us contraception is abortion. Next thing you know, they're going to claim that obstinance pledges (like they work anyway) and simply not making love are abortion processes.

I somehow doubt that given that that is, in fact, the option they want people to take.  The goal is to try and wean people away from earthly pleasures so that they can properly focus on spiritual pleasures and the Kingdom of God.  So, encouraging people not to have sex for any reason aside from making more good little Catholic/Protestant (I'm pretty sure the South isn't that Catholic, though that could be changing with the increased Spanish/Mexican presence) babies in the proper confines of wedlock and with no thoughts at all about pleasure or enjoyment or, God forbid, recreation.

So, abstinance pledges and avoiding extramarital sex are never going to be condemned by the faithful because that is the goal they're aiming for.

Now, what I'm worried about is when they try and move from the Pill and other chemical options to physical barriers such as condoms.  Hell, Condoms are already pretty close to being on the line due to spermicidal gels used to coat them, which...  yeah.

Now, the interesting thing will be to see if this is actually quashed or not, and the reasons given for why that decision was reached.
