This is the country's capital and a manufactured city. I can go for "home cooking restaurants" from all regions from here, but it doesn't have a cooking tradition on its own. >_>
However, in my home state, a typical home cooking restaurant would have... hmmm. Feijoada is pretty country-wide, so that doesn't count, but we have special varieties of bean-based dishes (somewhat like a puree, but with a few particular spice veggies), traditional barbecue, specially prepared meats, rice prepared with certain kinds of legumes, dishes involving especially prepared flour with meats, eggs and vegetables and a vast variety of pastries and sweets (both having many varieties of dairy-based goods, others being very heavy on the fruit content).
