I dunno, I can't help but smile at how extremely basic a mistake this is, particularly considering how it merrily undermines their sanctimonious intent. Sorta subtly nudges towards the fact they don't really have any idea of what they're aiming for, nor why they're aiming against what they are.

Depends on what you define as 'The South'. Florida doesn't count, while dropping Texas alone would be a -huuuge- boon. Of course, then we'd probably have to step in when Texas starts their war against Mexico.

Border states like Virginia, Oklahoma would be iffy, too. Not sure which of them really count as 'The South'.
