Team Captain K. | Kyogre, Gau, FF5 Redmage, Marcus, Mint
[Floor 4a]

Team Captain K. vs. Fei and Bart
Team Captain K. vs. Rosa and Cecil
Team Captain K. vs. Ziggy, MOMO and KOS-MOS
Team Captain K. vs. Robo and Frog
Team Captain K. vs. Rune and Chaz - Scary Face... does change things a fair deal, methinks.

Team Tonfa | Cloud, Chemist, Aika, FFX-2 Songstress
[Floor 4b]

Team Tonfa vs. Krin, Karn and Jane
Team Tonfa vs. Marcus, Seth and Lyn
Team Tonfa vs. Nash, Mia and Arnaud
Team Tonfa vs. Augustine, Hallec and Nei
Team Tonfa vs. Augst, Evil Gaia and Tony - This is the kind of floor Tonfa thrives on. With Time+status whoring to be able to keep healing forever, they just can't be too threatened.

Team Tide vs. Justin and Ryudo - Arnaud+Eph should be enough to kill Justin dead, since Eph probably doubles him at this point. Ryudo by himself does jack squat and Garnet's healing is MT.
Team Tide vs. Cloud, Zidane and Tidus (No Sonic Steel / Caladbolg) - Sasarai raises hell here, and Zidane alone ain't doing jack.
Team Tide vs. Claude and Fayt - Works.
Team Tide vs. Ashley, Virginia and Jude - More Sasarai MT smashing stuff here.
Team Tide vs. Jeremy Non (1st Form) Melville and Alanis - Hi, I'm Jeremy and I fail hardcore against Arnaud. Slow Down just shuts Jeremy 1 down entirely, and Melville/Alanis are trivial.

Before anyone votes on my team, consider the following:

Kyogre's Scary Face normally halves the speed of all enemies.  On this floor, it doubles the speed of my entire team.

Red Mage has Esna, which slaughters anything not immune to status.

Mint actually doesn't have a lot of status options.  She can POIZN someone with Antidote, or weaken their attacks with Sharpness.  She'll probably just use her healing magic for damage.

Marcus is tapering off at this point.  He's still competent, just mediocre.  This is probably his last floor to have an impact.

Gau is still Gau.  He has a good selection of Rages to choose from by midgame - I'm sure he can find something useful to do on this floor.

Actually, if memory serves, Esna is a Level 4 spell, which means Red Mage does not get it. He does, however, get Raise.

Team Captain K. | Kyogre, Gau, FF5 Redmage, Marcus, Mint
[Floor 4a]

Team Captain K. vs. Fei and Bart - Easy.
Team Captain K. vs. Rosa and Cecil - Rosa is too slow here.
Team Captain K. vs. Ziggy, MOMO and KOS-MOS* - FF5 Redmage is apparently mildly below average speed at endgame, and Mint is a Tales caster meaning she's either average speed or below average speed (with casting times factored in).  MOMO is notably above average speed (1.14), and Kyogre is apparently 1.10 in speed.  MOMO is going first and fragging Red Mage with Refine.  Kyogre...  can try his exceptionally bad Vivify (30% Revival shot) or do his speed buff.  Let's say he does his speed buff.  Mint still only has "damage" here, not revival.  So Mint fails to kill someone.  Ziggy...  has "damage", but there's not much point in using it, so he "heals" with his physical whoever Mint hit.  KOS-MOS S-Chains MOMO, which doubles her speed (same as Kyogre's Scary Face).  MOMO goes first next round, and frags Kyogre before he can get lucky with his revival spell.  Ziggy once again "heals" up any damage that Mint does.  Unless Gau has a Rage that heals his enemies (!!), the team is screwed at this point.  (And even if such a Rage exists, there's availability concerns, likelihood of use, etc.)

As for team Tide: Will have to think on that one.  I will say that Arnaud's Slow Down isn't THAT useful against Jeremy, though - Jeremy just moves out of it.  Personally, I'd let anyone do that at the cost of a turn, but it seems pretty definitely legit for Jeremy since he's in the same game, and will do just that (though not as quickly as he should if his AI was better).

* Edit: Changing my vote to a pass below, but standing by the analysis.

Jeremy wastes a turn by moving out of the Slow Down hex anyway, thus giving the party time to wail on him if he decides moving is a good idea. Jeremy 1 lacks Inertia Cancel, and moving out of the hex is an exercise in futility. It just delays his doom.

Did some research on Gau.  Rhobite rage is Life, so 50% chance of ID'ing someone each round.  Also Rhodox rage is 50% chance of revival each round.  Both are available by midgame.

I still think Captain K loses even with Scary Face taken into account, he just doesn't have enough options for damage and Gau is just as likely to fail him as help him(if you even see him reversing his targets on uncontrollable skills, which is iffy to me in itself).  Once the Red Mage falls, and it will, the rest of the team can't consistently take people down.

The other two pass.  Tonfa by the skin of his teeth, but those enemies are pathetic if you can status one and heal up, even if healing sucks.

Did some research on Gau.  Rhobite rage is Life, so 50% chance of ID'ing someone each round.  Also Rhodox rage is 50% chance of revival each round.  Both are available by midgame.

Hmm...  unfortunately, even assuming availability, the percentages don't stack up well here.  Gau's targets are still random (even assuming he's smart enough to rage physicals against friends and Life against enemies, which is fine).

Suppose Gau Lifes on Round 2.  This is too late, even if it hits MOMO - Kyogre and Red Mage are dead, and there's no way to get them back.  The team will lose for sure in the next two matches - no Kyogre to revive or boost speed, so at the very least Chaz will kill Gau in the last match before he can rage Life, and then Rune will kill Mint.  And Gau can never afford to rage Rhodox, or not hit with Life off of Rhobite, or lose the speedbreak to Frog (they're about tied I think).

Suppose Gau Lifes on Round 1.  This is better, but unfortunately the target is still random.  Lifeing MOMO is good, lifeing KOS-MOS is...  good I think? (Mint waits for Ziggy's action, then double-turn heals out MOMO off the speed boost), but lifeing Ziggy isn't enough.  MOMO will still kill Kyogre in round 2 then, Mint will finish MOMO off, and then we're in the situation above - the fight is won, but the team can't beat the later battles on the floor without Red Mage / Kyogre.

And even with Lifeing one of the right targets (KOS/MOMO), things still aren't entirely assured...  Sheer Cold apparently only has 5 shots.  This means that there is the non-trivial chance (70%^5 = 16%) that Kyogre's attempts to revive Red Mage all fail.  That's also really bad, as this means that the next fights are up in the air again, and count on Gau doing the right thing off of Kyogre's speed boost.

So, I think Captain K can win here, but it requires life on turn 1 targeting the right person with Kyogre's Sheer Cold working, or in other words .5 * .66 * .84 = ~28%.  Getting out my handy d100...   and rolling an 04.  Holy crap, it's Gau's lucky day.  Changing my vote to a pass, but yeah, the odds are not in favor.

Still deciding how I see Captain K. Gau's one of those characters I can't decide how to view.

Tide and Tonfa pass. Captain K. does not. Sheer Cold is learned at level 60 so there's no way I see that as mid-game. MOMO takes out Red mage and the team loses too much damage to go on.

Team Captain K. | Kyogre, Gau, FF5 Redmage, Marcus, Mint
[Floor 4a]
*For this floor, all damage and healing is reversed. All status healing spells inflict that status at 100% (Including Life -> ID), all status-inflicting spells remove that status (ID -> Life) and all Buffs or debuffs do the opposite (Saner would reduce speed and evasion) These spells can be targetted at enemies or allies.
*All resources used for Healing are infinite, as well.
Team Captain K. vs. Fei and Bart
Team Captain K. vs. Rosa and Cecil
Team Captain K. vs. Ziggy, MOMO and KOS-MOS - The first two fights are fairly simple and not likely to cause Cap'n K any trouble. Then we reach this. Capn' has the tools, but the odds are stacked heavily against him, no thanks to having 3 enemies to kill off instead of 2. Then there's the fact that once Red Mage goes down, the team is now rolling dice to kill off the remaining enemies. I'm not sure if Kyogre outspeeds MOMO, but if he doesn't, killing him off leaves the team off in poor shape to handle the rest. There's just a lot of calls in the air and Capn needs everything to go right for this fight and the next two to boot.
Team Captain K. vs. Robo and Frog
Team Captain K. vs. Rune and Chaz

Team Tonfa | Cloud, Chemist, Aika, FFX-2 Songstress
[Floor 4b]
[Materia: Cover(M), Revive (M), Barrier(M), Time]
*All healing effects are reduced to 20% for this floor. Revival is not usable.
Team Tonfa vs. Krin, Karn and Jane
Team Tonfa vs. Marcus, Seth and Lyn
Team Tonfa vs. Nash, Mia and Arnaud
Team Tonfa vs. Augustine, Hallec and Nei
Team Tonfa vs. Augst, Evil Gaia and Tony - See Tonfa clearing the hurdles pretty easily. Thanks partly to his Cloud build (which lets him soak up damage at a greatly reduced rate) + status whoring and speed. Even 20% healing off that probably works. Way too much control in most of these fights.

Team Tide | Sasarai (TER), Ephraim, Garnet, Arnaud, Duran
[Floor 2b]
Team Tide vs. Justin and Ryudo
Team Tide vs. Cloud, Zidane and Tidus (No Sonic Steel / Caladbolg)
Team Tide vs. Claude and Fayt
Team Tide vs. Ashley, Virginia and Jude
Team Tide vs. Jeremy Non (1st Form) Melville and Alanis - I can't see the boss fight being an issue. For starters, Arnaud can probably solo Jeremy. Then there's Eph he has to deal with, which despite Jeremy's awesome speed, still has evade AND counters everytime he's struck. Eph's not dying in one hit, and none of the other fights leaves him in bad enough shape to be either. Jeremy may be able to blitz down Garnet, but once Arnaud casts that first Slow Down, its pretty much over. Sasarai/Duran still have healing and he can't take down both Arnaud and Eph at the same time.

Tonfa passes, Captain K fails, Team Tide passes. Sas has Earthquake as a level 2 spell. That is going to be gross overkill at this point, so it handles things even if it's slow. Weak team though, I don't think he'll go far.

Stop flying by the seat of Nephrite's pants, then.

Also, Cap'n K falls, Tide/Tonfa pass.
