I was spamming these in chat the other day, and got a fairly positive response, so here we go.
The short is this: there's a section of TV Tropes dedicated to making intentionally misleading descriptions of various things. However, being a wiki, a lot of these aren't really anything special, so I got to thinking that y'know? The DL could probably do better, at least within our medium.
So the general idea is to describe a game in as misleading or hilariously concise manner as possible. While this could be run as a guessing game, I'm more curious how well people could do at it in general. Otherwise, just don't pull descriptions from TV Tropes; rather defeats the point.
Lastly, some samples. These two ARE from TV Tropes, but feel free to use these two games yourselves if you've got a good idea.
1. A stoic mercenary with a talking bird must protect a singer with really bad schizophrenia, beat up his beloved older brother, and save the world from the Pope. (Grandia II)
This one is kinda funny, fairly concise, but dead obvious if you've actually played the game. Still, not a bad effort.
2. A boy and his mother embark on a quest to get laid. (Grandia III)
Funny, completely misleading, and may or may not be technically accurate. Probably harder if you HAVE played the game.
Anyways, have fun adn all that.
