Hey, minor variation: I decided to pick two main characters from two different, popular games and see how many descriptions I could write that included BOTH of them. Given the audience around here, I think one will be decidedly easier to catch than the other, but hey. See how long it takes you to get both!
---
1) This character begins the game on his first mission with a new organization; a girl he knows from before is on his team as part of the mission, as well. Although he acts like a toughened pro, he lacks real experience because he's really only imagined fighting any battles up to this point. The entire game, he will act as a stand-in for an older, more experienced character (who is presumed dead), even assuming the other guy's title for a time. After much confusion, he will overcome personal drama to defeat the final boss in a pure duel, sword vs. sword.
[It was my assumption that people could get it after this clue alone, but it was pointed out that a lot of this is pretty generic, so I added more details, continually surprised at how many I could name without invalidating either one.]
2) He battles an enemy in A HELICOPTER at one point. He's also assisted by a female ninja. And his final battle is against someone who was genetically modified from birth to be a supersoldier.
EDIT: Actually, the fight I was thinking of was a jet, not a helicopter, so scratch the helicopter bit. Female ninja and genetically modified villain still stand, though.
3) He is also assisted by an older black man whose exterior hides a dark past, including another man who's not quite finished with him yet. This black man is deeply invested in the fight for personal reasons. Incidentally, the black man handles the explosives.
4) At one point, he dresses up as an enemy soldier for the sake of infiltration. (Yeah that doesn't help too much. But his disguise DOES include a rifle.)
5) He is charged with protecting a young brunette with a unique ability to save the world in crisis, but, tragically, he is not up to the task. The young brunette, incidentally, is surrounded by water when her killer catches up with her.
6) He sees the President's dead body only moments after he has been murdered.
I am still surprised by how many details line up here. If you know the two characters and their respective games that I'm talking about, feel free to demonstrate it by suggesting more (you could also shout out the answers, but that's no fun).
