And so things turn again towards the future. Let us see if you can succeed where others have failed.


Team Snow, Tal and Unoriginal vs. Floor 1


Team Unoriginal and Snow's matches

Floor 2a: Generic Battle Music (Earlygame)

So you want to try something Generic, huh? Well, let's see what you think about this, then!

Battle #6: Lorenta, Jelanda, Shiho, Mystina

Lorenta: I think it's time we go, everyone.
Jelanda: Hah! These fools think they can defeat us?
Mystina: Yes, let's show them just how powerful our magic really is!

Battle #7: FF1 Knight, FFT Knight, PC Beatrix

FF1 Knight: Well, you're not Fiend, but... I guess I'll stop you.
FFT Knight: For the might of Ivalice!
Beatrix: You two are under my command. Let's go.

Battle #8: FF1 Black Mage, FFT Wizard, Vivi

FF1 Black Mage: Well, I guess if I have to bother with this...
FFT Wizard: Inscribe on the... something something. Whatever, Flare!
Vivi: I don't like this, but I have no choice!

Battle #9: Lucius, Serra, Renault

Lucius: We must persevere. Don't give in!
Serra: Whatever! They won't beat me!
Renault: Take it easy and we'll win, no rushing.

Boss Battle #2: Ultros and Evil Gaia

Ultros: You didn't REALLY think this floor was just for show, did you? My friends and I will be sure you don't pass here.
Evil Gaia: You... are... dead...



Team Talaysen's Matches

Floor 2b: New Age (Earlygame)

So, you want to try something new? Fine then. Let's see how you like it... I have a surprise for you at the end!

Battle #6: Justin and Yuki

Justin: Heh! This is a real adventure!
Yuki: I don't have time for this...

Battle #7: Cloud, Zidane and Tidus

Cloud: Hmph. You're not Sephiroth, but you'll do.
Zidane: Heh heh, if I take you guys out, I'll get a nice bonus.
Tidus: THIS IS MY STORY! ...What?!

Battle #8: Stahn, Luke and Reid

Stahn: FIREBALL! FIREWALL! FLARE TORNADO!
Luke: Uhh... let's... go?
Reid: YEAH!

Battle #9: Ashley, Virginia and Jude

Ashley: Well, if we have to fight... we have to fight.
Virgina: I won't give up! Let's go!
Jude: I bet you guys are friends with adults. Blech!

Boss #2: Malice Edna and Ricardo

Edna: Ricardo... I am... sorry...
Ricardo: It is okay, my love. We shall fight together until we die.

Team Snow passes unless I'm completely misremembering, that team is good. Fast? Tons of healing? ID galore? Token MP restoration? Goddamn.  Abstain on the other two.

Team Snow | Virginia, Geno, Nina4 and Raja
[Floor 2a]
[Viginia: Gale Claw, Fiery Rage, Terra Roar]
Floor 2a
Team Snow vs. Lorenta, Jelanda, Shiho, Mystina - Virginia Quickens Raja - this should be enough to get him to go before the mages, especially going off Gale Claw'd Ginny speed. Geno and Nina4 off a mage just for guarantees and Seals handles the rest. Things now are smooth.
Team Snow vs. FF1 Knight, FFT Knight, PC Beatrix - Blitzing Beatrix and then handling FF1 Knight works here. Afterwards, Ginny can just use FFT Knight to revive Raja (he's probably eating it here).
Team Snow vs. FF1 Black Mage, FFT Wizard, Vivi - FFT Wizard gets blitzed. Alternatively, Quicken on Raja for more Seals action, neutering all but FFT Wizard rather handily.
Team Snow vs. Lucius, Serra, Renault and Moulder - Um, yeah. This is simple.
Team Snow vs. Lete River Ultros and Evil Gaia - Okay, now this isn't a bad match. The issue is that Virginia actually can take hits now, and she's vastly outspeeding -and- hitting a nasty weakness on Ultros with Cremate, which makes bumrushing a viable option. Evil Gaia fails.

Team Talaysen | Chemist, Raquel, Jane, Yulie, Nall
[Floor 2b]
Team Talaysen vs. Justin and Yuki - Justin+Yuki can't kill Raquel, although they crush Yulie and probably Jane. I see Chemist with Auto-Potion now, so this is harder for Justin/Yuki to handle. Alternatively, Yuki may have to cast Flash if he doesn't want to get obliterated by Raquel.
Team Talaysen vs. Cloud, Zidane and Tidus (No Sonic Steel / Caladbolg) - Uh, how does the team manage here? Raquel eats Mini and now they can't deal offense for their life - not to mention a Cloud limit spells death and the team fails at chipping with Raquel utterly neutered (and Remedies aren't available for Chemist as of now). The team may have a shot at winning if they get past here, and I think I'd give it a pass against 2a, but 2b is nastier for them. I dunno.

Team Unoriginal | Orlandu, Nel, Garnet, Nei, FF1 Monk
[Floor 2a]
Team Unoriginal vs. Lorenta, Jelanda, Shiho, Mystina - About half the mages are frying before they get a turn. Bad news.
Team Unoriginal vs. FF1 Knight, FFT Knight, PC Beatrix - Orlandu+Nel handle Beatrix, FF1 and FFT Knight aren't threatening.
Team Unoriginal vs. FF1 Black Mage, FFT Wizard, Vivi - Um, yeah. FFT Wizard blows up, the other two suck.
Team Unoriginal vs. Lucius, Serra, Renault and Moulder - More blowing up.
Team Unoriginal vs. Lete River Ultros and Evil Gaia - I think the deal here is mainly keeping Orlandu alive. Garnet needs to be killed first lest Ultros wants to deal with revival, but this makes him vulnerable to the Nel/Orlandu/Monk blitz. He can't really deal with it.

Team Unoriginal - Passes - Nel has Ice Daggers + Berserk for floor 2.  Evil, very very evil.  Freeze + Shatter kill. Hits a weakness with Firebolt for the boss too~

Team Talaysen vs. Ashley, Virginia and Jude- Even if Team Tal gets past the tough opening fights, I really don't think it has a way to handle Jude. AB splatters Chemist, and I don't think the team has a ghost of a chance of killing Jude before AB splatters Yulie as well.
Team Talaysen vs. Malice Edna and Ricardo

Team Unoriginal | Orlandu, Nel, Garnet, Nei, FF1 Monk
[Floor 2a]
Team Unoriginal vs. Lorenta, Jelanda, Shiho, Mystina- Easy.
Team Unoriginal vs. FF1 Knight, FFT Knight, PC Beatrix- Shellbust stab works wonders on Beatrix, Knight/Knight aren't going to be able to do enough here. They may Garnet, but.. she should have protect, and that should stave that off.
Team Unoriginal vs. FF1 Black Mage, FFT Wizard, Vivi- Wizard gets OHKOed and I'm doubing BW gets a turn for that matter.
Team Unoriginal vs. Lucius, Serra, Renault and Moulder- Bad physical durability against this team is pain. Heal up and prepare for boss.
Team Unoriginal vs. Lete River Ultros and Evil Gaia- Ultros's good stuff is ST and not OHKOing Orlandu, which it needs to do. Garnet has to be killed early, giving the blitzers plenty of time to work over Ultros.

All three pass. Tal passes due to Nall hype. Oh yes.

More seriously, Nall will pretty much stop reviving after around this point in the game, so I'll allow some revival spam on this early floor when Tal's characters are still warming up.
