http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2010/jul/21/amaterasu-and-thor-confirmed-marvel-vs-capcom-3/6 characters revealed yesterday for MvC3. The two prominently shown are cause they were revealed separate (like, hours difference apparently) from the other 4, though all 6 can be seen in various screen shots.
The 6 if you care are:
Chun-li
Dr. Doom
Super Skrull
Trish (DMCs)
Thor
Amateratsu
First 4 were all assumed based off either being "Its freaking *insert character name here*" *Waves hi to Chun-li*, or just silhouettes making them obvious (Super Skrull is the big one.)
Thor I didn't EXPECT, but I'm not really surprised he made it in, since he felt like a total coin-flip; popular and well known enough that he'd fit into the game, but lack of usage from previous games and no real hints in his favor means they could just as easily skip him again.
Amateratsu...caught me totally off guard. I figured Capcom would just snub her cause of the "She's a wolf, too hard to implement" excuse but fuck, I'm not going to complain! Its an awesome, completely unexpected addition to the roster.

Oh, right, apparently there's a new silhouette (haven't seen it myself, but too many people claim it exists) which further suggests "VIewtiful Joe will be in this game" which basically leads to "Come on Capcom, stop trying to beat around the bush and just say he's in! Its really freaking obvious at this point!"
