Ahhh only just noticed the second sheath on his arse there.  So he has two swords, that explains the sword belt.

Combat system stuff looks like a straight VP2 rip.  The graphics there are pretty crazy good for DS.

Is going to have mystery and suspence, be preapre to solve a murder case when you see heavy mist. Commun and stuff and all the P3 stuff are in. More endings. Persona are very traditional Japanese figures, and the setting is rural Japanese town.

So, SO4 is supposedly SO0. And the plot is somewhat connected to SO1. There well be ssome "aha!" moments if you played the older installments.

Battle ssytem changed ocne again, they take off the protect system from SO3 and other changes here and there. Those who like SO3 might not feel comfortable with the system. Also, the Item creation gets toned down to simplify it.
