Can you guess who's ridiculously excited about Tales of VS?  :o

Dissidia already feels like a Tales-like ARPG. Calling a Tales of Fighter like Dissidia seems backwards to me, but whatever. I want to see a version of Arche that plays like Dissidia Terra.

Obviously, Mint's Fighting Game form will be Godlike.

Aren't the Tales of Fandom games primarily Fighting games with assorted mini-games thrown in? I've yet to see a copy of one of them, and the last time I read an article about them, details were vague.

That looks... interesting...

Gah, I need to play a Netherworld game one of these days so I know who some of their characters are... They keep invading cross-overs with games I like... Chaos Wars, Cross Edge, ...there's probably another one I'm forgetting.

That's all the cross over games they made actually.

Anyway, this game has two route. Goddess route and Overlord route.

Goddess route involves a War Valkyrie acting without out of the order of the Goddess Organization to investigate the floating objects around the Cosmic Netherworld.
Overlord route inbvolves the Evil Jade, the relic that protects the Cosmic Netherworld from the floating objects got turned into a Dog Overlord in an accident and that Dog Overlord sets off for a pretty air headed journey.

Start with Generation of Chaos IV for PS2 or PSP (Released as Generation of Chaos in the US). Definately the best place to start. Doesn't really help you with the continuity as much, but it's a good SRPG that does well in hooking you into the franchise.

Then you can never escape.

But that game looks awesome. I see what looks like actual production values! What the hell?

Very amazed (as I was with Final Fantasy XII's artwork) with the detail and earth tones that succeed in creating a vibrant scene, but am somewhat disappointed with the lack of detail in the faces. Since XIV has races, I want to see detail in the faces damnit, and not just on the ears!

They're... the same races as FFXI?

Why are they making this FFXIV if it's set in the same world? Why not just make an expansion?

I'm guessing this means they're shutting down FFXI soon?
