Notes
1.All characters are taken at Level 50. I pretty carefully noted stat bonuses through the game to find where characters would end up at end-game.

2. There are many equip options listed in a lower post.

3. Abilites stones were determined by 2=unique. I listed those with 3 users with *

Cura- Heals 3480 HP (2320 base), 10 MP
Curaga- Heals 9840 HP (6560 base), 22 MP
Shell- Halves magical damage, Lasts about 2 turns, 6 MP
Protect- Halves physical damage, Lasts about 2 turns. 6 MP
Reflect- Reflect all spells aimed at Garnet back at the caster. If Garnet uses a spell on herself, the spell instead affects her opponent, Lasts about 2 turns 6 MP
Berserk- 65% hit rate, Limits target to physicals attacks, but improves their attack 50%, Infinite Duration, 6 MP
Blind- 65% hit rate, Halves Accuracy, Infinite Duration, 6 MP
Silence- 40% hit rate, Disables spellcasting abilities, Infinite Duration, 8 MP
Mini- 40% hit rate, Enemy attacks do double digit damage, magic damage is halved, and they have 50% more from physicals, Infinite Duration, 8 MP
Confuse- 40% hit rate, Causes target to physically attack random targets, Only wears off with physical damage, may lower Accuracy but FF 9 evasion is a bit of a headache anyways, 8 MP

Break- 29% chance of petrify, note that this ends the battle and gives you AP and not EXP, so some might throw this out, 18 MP

Speed
Basically all are average at this point! (Not really, but the system makes practical doubleturns take a really long time)

Evaluation: WTF. He must not start with any armor, but you can't change that (Tough luck!). He...takes about triple from physicals, and likely from magic too. No elemental resists and horrid damage round out this puny star.

Evaluation: Not horrid directly scaled. Basically average all around, with Thunder halving.

Marcus has 407 HP, while the average is about 430 (And maybe 415 without the HP ups)

He’s technically above average speed (He thanks Quina for that), and can halve Thunder, Ice, and Water before he leaves.

Evaluation: Low 4HKO and some nice elemental halving. Light, but can spoil some elemental mages perhaps (Like Anri...and....yeah, lacking Fire res makes it a bit incomplete).

Boss notes from old forums.  These are yours, Dhyer, so if you want to do something else with them, let me know.  But they need to be ported over now so here's where they'll sit at least temporarily.

Was replaying the game, and thought I'd cull notes for all the bosses. For once I don't have a million precursors notes. The only one is that I used the Wait mode (default, active mode is more a benefit to opponents than to yourself), and that I'm listing speed in more the practical in game effect than the numerical stats.

Baku 1

Evalution: At least he 3HKOs average thanks to Cinna…just takes him about 5 turns to land those 3 hits. Puny.

Evaluation: So, he has 4 moves, and only 1 makes him fall on his ass. His best one is basically average speed, and he’s basically PC HP since he fights in a duel. He likes it if you don’t hold the Mage Masher you could steal from Baku 1 against him, as that halves Zidane’s damage. Either way, a Light, and not necessarily a horrid one.

Evaluation: Like all Beatrix fights, its semi plot in that after about 7 turns, if you haven’t killed her, she uses an MT HP->1 move and the fight ends. However, it’s theoretically pretty easy to deplete her HP first (which is why I tend to allow the form). Anyways, the HP is back to not great (didn’t realize how good Vivi could get here), but the speed is still decent (if a bit wrecked by the stupidity of FF9’s ATB), and the damage is excellent. Low Godlike.

Black Waltz 3- Part 2
1292 HP (Faces 3 PCs)

Evaluation: After 3 previous Black Waltz fights, this one finally gains a good status. A Heavy status whore that never wins on anything but status.

Evaluation: Puny!!! No seriously, it’s a Puny despite 2HKO damage and an accurate and debilitating status. It always goes into Compact when physically hit, where it proceeds to do absolutely nothing. Then it goes out of Compact and can be hit right back into it. Dario mark 2.

Evaluation: Decent HP, although I would factor Amarant into account a little. Regardless, its passable enough, and HP to 1 and Confuse are both quite nice. HP to 1 might be able to miss (likely 90% Hit Rate), but it's still solid. Won't beat other bosses, but a Heavy PC Killer (Which this game seems to love).

Damage Average: About 1800+. Note that this is really loose because too many PCs running around, blah, blah. Anyways, Dagger, Steiner, Eiko, and Freya can all hit his weaknesses easily, and Amarant has throws that do more damage.

Evaluation: Ouch. Flaming Slash hurts. I'd say this form of Kary is H/G (Wow, imagine that), leaning on Low Godlike. The Fire reliance hurts, but the addition of Reflect and Mustard Bomb are nice, as it Raining Swords upon death. Probably not really an upgrade over FF1o form though.

Absorb Strength- About doubles Tiamat’s physical damage while halving yours. Stackable
Absorb Magic- See above, but with magic. Doesn’t apply to Twister
Absorb MP- Steals MP, limited by Tiamat’s MP loss

Evaluation: Absorb Spells are Seriously Evil. H/G. If you aren't faster and rely on just one damage type, she can rape your damage while boosting her own. Twister is there too, but has the usual variance issues. However, that assy sub PC HP FF 9 boss HP holds her back. However, she's generally happy if you her allow this form.

Kraken

Average Speed with Auto-Hastes in Play (Technically below)- However, he starts off triple acting because of his tentacles
PC Damage: 7500 (Dagger just got a 5000 damage upgrade)

PC HP: 3500 Area (3075 w/o HP up)

Leg- 1591 (I think only usuable after both his tentacles are dead. Then also used as a 50% Counter), Likely 80% Hit Rate
Ink- 1221+ 80% Darkness (Usuable by Tentacles), Likely 80% Hit Rate
Water Gun- 1932 Water
Waterga- 1288 MT Water, Can cast upon self MT for 2,000 damage, May use as a counter to MT damage (If so, likely 50% of the time)
Freeze- 80% Freeze (Usuable by Tentacles)

Evaluation: If you allow him to act with his tentacles and to do max damage against one character, he's a low Godlike. Over 4000 damage, 1 killer status, an anti-physical status, and counters later on. If you don't allow his tentacles, still a solid Heavy. 2HKO damage, a physical that blinds, a killer status, and counters are nice. FF 9 boss HP is not.

Venom Powder- This Kills slowly if it hits!!, 80% Accuracy

Evaluation: Status Whore. High Heavy. Unless PCs are fully status immune, status resistant, or can OHKO him first, he will kill them. He won't beat bosses though, and has some bad weaknesses.

Twister- 2205 ITD MT Wind, Can ranged from 45 to About 4400 (Only when Closed?)

Evaluation: H/M. Bad FF 9 HP (75% PC HP!), status on the second turn, and theoretically 2HKO damage. Better than Nova Dragon, but far behind the other Memoria bosses so far.

I wanted to note that I was reviewing a bit, and I changed the notes on most status to be a little worse. Most of it lost 5%-10% in accuracy.

Came up in the Proving Grounds topic, but:

Stat modifiers, unlike positive status, don't wear off. Notably this means Eiko's Might lasts forever, not 2 turns.  It stacks multiplicatively, so each subsequent cast is more and more potent, but Str tops out at 99.  It takes 5 casts of Might to get there.

* If Eiko wants to threaten a horrible physical game, it means giving up the Holy-element buffing off Magic Racket, so she weakens her magic offense options if she cares at all.
* Her best racket for beatdown is wind-elemental.  If her target resists Wind, she can use her best Flute instead (33 weapon power rather than 40-something), although this means leaving the back row, for all that this topic currently ignores row.
* Once she's buffed her Str to 99, she might barely hustle a wind-elemental 4HKO, or a non-elemental 5HKO!  Yay!
* If she doesn't bother buffing, her damage fails and is more like a 9HKO.  If she has the Magic Racket equipped, it's even worse.

This only really matters if she's fighting someone who is really magically tanky and/or resists Earth & Holy, but whose damage fails forever, as Eiko needs tons of time to set up this ridiculous strategy.  Basically should never matter in Middle, only an emergency backup when facing spoiler Lights like Bernadette.

Note also that the racket formula doesn't use strength as strongly, so flutes will do more damage at 99 str.
