Yes, I strive for impartiality everytime I vote on anything, especially for characters I like. Unfortunately, I just don't feel like this gets through when it comes to Arche, who happens to be my favorite character. There are tons of other characters who are among my favorites that I feel just fine about voting against, but I'm not sure it applies to Arche, so I feel like I should avoid voting on her since if I hype her, it causes people to think that anytime I hype something it's out of fanboyism instead of an actual respect for the duelers' worth.

1 - Arnaud G. Vasquez (WA4) - Awesme skill set. Seriously the way he can nerf opponents stats - def/speed/hit or dispell their positive statuses is evil. For status inflicting Sleep tends to be a niche option in the DL but it can be useful i.e send a physical reliant to sleep and blast them with magic whilst they are helpless! Let' see what else ... Arnaud Evade hype! Yes. Plus access to a good selection of status blockers. Just a very solid package overall.
2 Lenus (LoD) - Eh. My Lenus respects varies depending on who's on my team in game. Albert/Kongol/Dart (w/o Bandit's Rings) she slaughters, Dart, Rose, Albert/Kongol also have a hard time especially if they go D Special since Astral Drain's healing can't keep up with Lenus' damage. Non dragoonwise it's still dangerous since Rose isn't on the same level as Meru and Shana as item users. Dart/Meru/Shana team however and Lenus' speed becomes a joke. She will rarely multi turn this team and I can't remember ever seeing her mad quadra turning insanity that she did on other teams either. Still she is extremely evil with her magic and speed in the DL for those she does spoil though. Can't believe she ended up so high on my list anyway despite me not respecting her as much as other people >.>
3 - Decus (SO2) - Elemental blocking for multiple elements good. Not blocking water bad. Relying on one damage element also bad. Still boss HP and boss status immunity (as far as I know!)
4 - Angela (SD3) - Status witch from hell. Magic damage mayhem as icing on the cake too~
5- Rose (LoD) - Basically Angela but with less options. ID and Fear are great plus I allow her to start off battles already having SP but still if the enemy immunes her statuses or can buff to get past Fear she's screwed. Speed is only average, she's no Haschel, Meru or Miranda. Neither does she have the heavy magic damage or the magic defence the other LoD girls have either. Physical damage is good with the Dragon Buster but don't know if I consider that legal or not since she only gets in for one boss fight in game.
6  Keith Valentine (SH1) - Hmm. Tough call here between Keith and Auron. Decided the fact that SH have access to status blockers for practically everything without argument because of being storebought as well as Keith having healing and the ability to inflict status of his own gains more respect. Granted his status doesn't scare Auron but in the overall scheme of things!
7 Auron (FFX) - First Strike. Tanky. Stat breaks. Counter attacks. Deathproof. Darkproof (which is important for him! >.>) Access to FFX elemental and status resists in general
8 Aldelbert Steiner (FF9) - Auron but without first strike and Masamune's damage up factor. Was going to put Steiner higher based on FF9 equips but Elfboy reminded me that Auron actually has an argument for access to quite a range of status/elemental resist factors. Plus his default armour is Deathpoof. This scores over ID bait FFIX characters.
9 Edge Eblan (FF4) - Process of elimination >.>

Middle:

1) Zidane Tribal (FF9)- Combination of evil status options and FF9 equips put him here.
2) Seifer Almasy (FF8) General respect for Seifer both as a boss and a PC. Boss gets boss HP and lethal status immunity respect. Speed is good too rising to really quite impressive for his third form. PC wise speed is also respect worthy and being able to trigger limit without being in critical health is nice too.
3) Barret Wallace (FF7) - Tank! ID/MP zero as options are also nice. Being reliant on a limit to access them however is not.
4) Miakis (S5) - Blah. Guess her stat buffs + healing options put her above Jeane >.>
5) Jeane (Suikos) - Tactics Jeane is pretty good!


Light:

1) Rinoa (FF8) This
2) Nicolus (SO2) Is
3) Zappa (CC)   Fail

On a more serious note yes we all know Rinoa fails as a character and that's no exception for me but she's actually a strong PC even unjunctioned. Invincible Moon/Wishing Star were invaluable to me in my NJ game and I see no reason for her not to cheese her way to victories in Light with them >.> Not always but yeah. Angelo Recover/Revive is also nice.

Feels exactly like allowing DKC even down to it being a better DL form and something she changes out of, so yeah, no.

The big difference being, of course, that Reis' change is totally optional. If Cecil had to undergo an optional sidequest on the Moon at endgame to change to Paladin, I'd be happy to allow him DK in the DL.
