Godlike:
1. Kefka (FF6) - Way too much offense and speed. The near-PC level durability isn't too much of an issue, and he even has solid backups when Havoc Wing isn't the best option.
2. Fou-Lu (BoF4) - Crazy good tanking and good damage to back it up. Speed could use work, but oh well.
3. Rubicant (FF4) - The offense is absolutely retarded, and he has the durability to back it up. Speed also doesn't disappoint. Wallability/ice vulnerability are his only problems.
4. TimeLord (Saga) - Kills PCs. Period. And a lot of bosses, too. Since I allow Mystic skills, TL is sorta retarded in general, although, in Godlike, it's just OD or bust. Granted, OD is ridiculous as well with that level of options.
5. Benjamin (FFMQ) - Just covers his bases way too well as a PC. PC killer, solid damage, mocks status, solid durability and speed alongside tons of healing. He's not retarded at anything, just very good at almost all niches and bad at none.
6. Elc (AtLC) - Compared to Benjamin, he's... more gimmicky. Starts faster, but loses out with time, and he suffers from lacking truly good damage (in that he can't even 2HKO average without going through hoops). His resources are finicky as well, in that they also depend on the opponent's to go deep. Considering how he tends to win via stalling, this doesn't always work like a charm.
7. Rolf Landale (PS2) - Um, yeah, pumping out something like 3.2x PC HP in two turns (1.6x~ per turn) off those stats tends to be pretty brutal.
8. Altima (FFT) - Good PC killer, has actual damage backup.
9. Deis (BoF2) - She's a poor Godlike, sadly. The stats and offense are great, though.
10. Chris Lightfellow (S3) - Hard to say, but she's a bit too spoilerish.
11. Hrist (VP2) - Here, we start getting the Heavies. 2HKO damage, good statusblocking and Petrify are neat, but not going anywhere in Godlike without a bigger punch.
12. Dhoulmagus (DQ8) - Honestly, I could flip on Dhouly and Hrist all the time. The speed edge and non-suck status option attached to damage makes up for the extra durability and ability to hit both defensive stats to me today, though (and eh, Dhouly's damage backup is sorta worthless).
13. Ultimecia (FF8) - Eeeeeeeeeew. HP-1, HP and... what else? Ultimecia gets her ass handed to her by your typical Heavy healer. This doesn't work.
Heavy:
1. Athos (FE7) - Borderline Godlike. The draining is awesome and he mocks magic like little else. Speed can be problematic, but the other stats back it up nicely.
2. Lede (FFT) - PC killer extraordinaire with good damage backup. Frail, but hey.
3. Rofel Wodring (FFT) - Quite possibly better at mauling PCs than Lede, and he has some extra spoiling. Even worse against bosses, but them's the breaks. Quite frankly, I think they're very close.
4. Roufas (Saga) - Mind Magic is very wrong in a duel, and Roufas has a nice resource split to let him work his magic, be it via slugfesting, be it via IDing things eventually. Below average speed at first is what hurts him.
5. Georg Prime (Suikos) - Georg is Emily with overkill accuracy, better concrete physical durability and S5 equip cheese. Flipside, he has a lot less speed, his evade is less effective when not against melee and his magical durability is hilariously epic instead of just averagish. Not sure this is a winning trade considering how Emily's speed fixes so many rough patches (as in, this may cost Georg a victory against the likes of Teepo, who Emily coasts against).
6. Zapdos (PKMN) - Strong Heavy. Durable, Agility is great. Accuracy and Thunder reliance are issues, though.
7. Queen Zeal (CT) - PC killer. With the HP and speed, she tends to make it work well in Heavy.
8. Ephraim (FE8) - Evade, damage, counters.
9. Rufus (VP2) - ITE damage attached to status is nice. Durability could use work, though, and he relies on Thunder a bit strongly for my liking.
10. Neifirst (PS2) - A bit below Eph. She isn't too much more durable, and her damage isn't much better. She also entirely lacks the evade, and her own damage is evadable. The speed edge makes this close, but overall not that impressive, she's a middle-range Heavy slugfester.
11. Cait Sith (FF7) - Status, the limit is deadly, FF7 status blockers. He's solid, this List is just pretty high-end in general, though.
12. Ernst (S5) - That first turn is a killjoy for Ernst.
13. Alex (Lunar:SSSC) - Solid enough. The equips help him a lot.
14. Johnny Jones (SMRPG) - He's a Heavy, yeah. Could be better, though, he's probably the only true Low Heavy in this field.
Middle:
1. Noa (LoL) - Weird spoiling combo. Short-term 2HKO off Wind elemental+perfect I win status+good speed+decent statusblockers makes her obnoxious to handle, and definitely not a good idea in Middle. Needs Heavy.
2. Colm (FE8) - Typical FE8 goodness. Dodges, doubles and such.
3. Alen (S1) - Tanky mage with great damage, mitigated a bit by the speed being subpar. Too bad about the elemental wallability, but he tends to beat other fire mages himself. From here, we leave the Heavies and we head onto the Middle/Heavies.
4. Jessica Philomele (MK) - Hmmmm. You know, Silence+timed healing is a nice combo. The timed healing is also a great boon for her to use On-the-Spot synthesis, since it means she can live through the charge times. Not bad at all, and I've elaborated on her other strengths.
5. Scythe Riebauer (WA4) - Speed solves too many issues (makes Scythe have actual offense, for starters), and the limit makes Scythe annoying to deal with in Middle. 70% PC HP isn't as crappy when the division isn't too good at going past average damage. Now, we leave the borderliners and enter the actual Middles.
6. Maya (LoL2) - She's pretty awesome once she gets going, the equips are sexy personified. and the limit range is all sorts of "you die" once she has the AP. Flipside? The durability is goddamned pesky, and being below average speed without a buff to mitigate it makes her way too vulnerable to a blitz 2HKO. Sorta overrated in the past, but she's golden once she gets past those issues.
7. Dekar (Lufia 2) - Eh. Off that abysmal speed score, Dekar can only go so far. Requiring limits to actually do stuff other than boringly hit things and needing turns to do that stuff is damning. Granted, he still can stall well enough.
8. Alice Elliot (SH1) - Spoils physicals well, sure. Just... uhhhhh... dear god, Alice fails against stalling very hardcore.
9. Grand Master (FF1) - Ashton +, actually.
10. Karsh (CC) - GM -, I guess.
11. Lise (SD3) - Lacks damage, and the buffs don't work wonderfully on a non-healer. Silence is how she wins matches more often than not.
12. Ashton Anchors (SO2) - 2HKO! That is sorta inaccurate, fairly easily transformed into a 3HKO, off middle-range equips and really nothing else. Yeah not getting any sympathy from me.
13. Amarant Coral (FF9) - Just... eh. His main boon lies in FF9 elemental nonsense. The damage is okay, the tricks could sorta see some use, just... the package is underwhelming overall, there's nothing that he does that is impressive.
14. Bowser Koopa (SMRPG) - Fear is really badass, but it's all he has. Pity.
Light later.
Light:
1. Gijimu (S2) - The Middle in this field.
2. Jet Enduro (WA3) - Uh I guess. Feels easy to put him this high.
3. Miluda Folles (FFT) - Yeah, 3HKOing off middle-range speed and counters put her high in this list. :psyduck:
4. Kongol (LoD) - And the ID+equips put him high in this list too.
5. Emma Hetfield (ACF) - Too slow and frail. At least, she beats everybody who lets her get two turns and a bunch of people who lets her get one.
6. Dinn (S5) - Too slow and unable to decide matches in one turn.
7. Suo (VP1) - VP equips and 4HKOing. Poor, but could be worse.
8. Rafa Galthana (FFT) - Spoiling. Sucks otherwise.
9. Bazba (S3) - ONE SHOT OF LOW TURN-ONE ID AND FAILURE OTHERWISE YES SUCH A WINNER.
10. Opera Vectra (SO2) - Ew, Suo -. Healing Star sucks.
11. Ernest Ravide (SO2) - Sub-Opera.
12. Lyonesse (Brig) - ... oh wow the durability. The tricks are useless with the durability, and the damage doesn't keep her up with that many resource issues.
13. Ruprecht (SO2) - Failure Wiseman.
