Utterly inspired by Cmdr's Empyrea write-up. Don't have a scanner here in Japan, so this picture was taken with my cell phone (sigh).

It's still in-progress. I've been showing CT the pieces as it gets done.

Since I don't have a scanner, I'm not sure how I'm going to color it yet...

Bardiche has an unexpected talent for coloring! He filled in the base solids for me and I provided some shading (whee burn and dodge!). Bard also tossed in a shiny background. Overall, I think we make a good team! ;D

Everyone shortens my name to that!

Djinn is really the MVP with our drawing+colouring combi, though. Gave me a crash course in colouring and we rolled with it. Also the scar he added to Raquel last-minute is wicked.

Yakumo: We had... no reference material to tell how a naked Raquel'd look.

She was irradiated and burned, not hit with a weapon.  That comes from the game itself.  (Well, she's probably been hit with a weapon too but that wasn't an important part of her story. <_<)

I did pay attention but I never figured out what she was hiding under those clothes. Since I have no idea how an irradiated body looks like I'm not even going to try and imagine it.

I get the feeling if it was a simple "big scar", she wouldn't be as concerned about exposing it.  I'm not saying she'd suddenly be running around half naked like a lot of RPG females, I just mean her coming out and saying to Arnaud "I have a large, ugly scar!" wouldn't be as hard.  I seem to recall her having problems coming out and saying the whole "My body is basically mutilated beyond reason from an accident, and looking at it would scar you for life!"

I also would find it hard to believe she has those occassional health problems from a simple scar, but...maybe I'm over analyzing here.

Well, the irradiation itself doesn't necessarily leave any marks. The burns would, but depending on how she was burned, it could be localized.

I did cursory research of a WA fansite before adding in the scar. The site made no specific mention of what her body had suffered, but I figured I should add -something- to represent her 'ruined body'. And a giantic scar in the middle of her torso was the sexiest disfigurement I could come up with for a pin-up shot.
