Wow, literally the only game I would want the Cavs to win this season.  They probably tanked it just to piss me off.
Rocky: you do know what an A-bomb is, right?
Bullwinkle: A-bomb is what some people call our show!
Rocky: I don't think that's very funny...
Bullwinkle: Neither do they, apparently!

Cleveland doesn't want homecourt advantage anymore?

Portland +96 in their last 4 games.  Batum battling with Chalmers for biggest steal of the draft.
Utah looked good for a while, but wavering now.  They need to get it together to be a threat to someone in round 1.
Denver looking good, and with the tiebreaker over Portland the division title looks to be theirs.  Still see them as a probably upset in playoffs.  If they run into Utah I'd put my money on the Jazz.

Spurs looking shaky.  OKC loss, had trouble with Pacers... they need Duncan to heal fast.  Could blow their division lead and even home court in round 1.
Houston looks like Houston, still not totally sold on this team, but their point dif is good so...
Hornets need Chandler to be healthy, Paul and West just aren't enough.
Mavericks... wish they were in the East so they could win a playoff series

Lakers win the West and are the only team from their crappy division to make playoffs!

The Mavericks would not win a playoff series in the East. I don't buy for a second they could beat the Hawks or the Heat. They could beat... maybe the Sixers....

Yeah, the Mavs would need to be able to pull down the 1 seed in the East to win a playoff series there. Really, they're just not really a playoff-caliber team. There's seven of them in the West and five in the East, honestly.

On a random note, the Pistons should draft Stephen Curry assuming he falls to 16. It'd be like having an Iverson that ISN'T a whiny bitch, actually passes, and wouldn't mind coming off the bench.

Not a Mavs fan, but the lack of respect surprises me.  They're not a title contending team, but I'd take them in a series of Miami for sure.  The Hawks would be a tossup IMO.  No real way to tell outside of maybe looking at the season series (Hawks 1-1, Heat 2-0), but 3 months ago is not now, sooo... yeah.

Also, Curry doesn't impress me as an NBA player.  He's like a worse version of Bayless in every way, and Bayless isn't good.  Griffin (obviously) and that 7'3 dude that's playing as we speak are who impress me.  That guy is going to be a solid center.

They're also going to be taken far, far earlier than 16th.

As for Mavs vs Heat:

The Mavs had a hard enough time against Wade when they faced him in the finals, and they were a much better defensive/cohesive club. Wade is a fuck-ton better now than he was then, and the Mavs are a whole lot worse.

Granted, the rest of the HEAT is also worse, but I don't see them losing to the Mavs.

Well, Miami can't guard Dirk for shit.  Not that most teams can, but Dirk shot 21/31 in the two games against them.

Regular season Wade is also a fuck-ton better now than he was back then, but that Finals Wade was the best player in NBA finals since the merger.  Again, this is all fairly irrelevant since neither team is likely to get out of round 1.

Wait a tic, what the fuck happened in the last two years.

Remember when we used to argue, and I'd be all "LOL Mavs would pwn you!" and you would say "Nu-uh! Miami G'oin win"

Good times, good times.

Did we?  Haha don't remember that, but it's possible.

I'm not big on the Mavs, and despite their 3-0 record vs Portland this year I wouldn't mind seeing them in the playoffs.  The problem is, Dwayne Wade is still a mortal, and when the 2-5 best guys on the court would be from Dallas, I just dunno if he could pull it out.

Miami's only shot in the playoffs is the hope Jermaine becomes 5 years yonger (possible, look at Shaq this year), to hope Chalmers averages about 4 steals a game, and hope that MB learns to play some defense.  Which is most likely... I don't know!

Manu out for the season.

Fuck you are your odd year bullshit Spurs.  On that note, I hope Rockets can pass the Spurs so that Portland/San Antonio end up 4/5.

I would enjoy seeing Portland teabag the Spurs. It would be a magnificent announcement to the world that the sun has set on the Spurs, and a new era has begun.

I'm inclined to agree, and I actually REALLY LIKE the Spurs.

Except for Bruce Bowen. Fuck that guy.

Well, they play tonight on... either TNT or ESPN. Not sure which one. Either way, I can count on half the bars in town to be showing it, so I don't really NEED to know.

Portland wins the title if they just remove the first quarter from games!

So I saw some people at the OKC game today cheering for Portland. Not unusual, until you notice they were wearing Sonics jerseys.

The game was in Portland.  Shouldn't you see people cheering for Portland?  Also, I was there and there were 4 people like 3 rows behind me sporting their Sonics gear and booing the hell out of the Thunder.  Kind of sad really since the players didn't decide to move, but fun nonetheless.

Also, I apologize for the third quarter wave.  There is never ever a reason to do the wave in the third quarter.  Wait until the 4th please.

Gotcha.  Loads of former Sonic fans are bitter about their team being ripped out of their city.  A good deal of them hate the Thunder now.

That said, time for an interesting final night in the Western Conference.  Go NO and Dallas!!

Can't believe Ray Allen was suspended.  I mean, they wear cups for a reason, right?

I dunno why, but lately, I've been getting the feeling like I'm grossly underrating the chances the Magic have in the playoffs this year. Everyone always writes them off as the worst of the "big three" teams in the East, but I think that's no longer true.

In fact, I hereby declare that I would be more surprised if the Celtics repeated a championship, than if the Magic won it all.

Garnett likely out for the entire playoffs? Yikes.

"Which of these comments best expresses your thoughts about Garnett's injury?"

#3: "Time to jump on the Bruins bandwagon"
