Dikembe Mutombo's career is apparently over after that knee injury. It's probably more surprising to most people that he wasn't retired already, but still a damn shame.

That is a shame.  He is a cool dude.

Up in Boston people are just miserable about Leon Powe.  Out for the season and probably most of next year with a torn ACL, and this was his contract year.  Just sucks, no two ways about it.

I'm pretty sure he could finger-wag people who start wars he doesn't like and get results.

On the upside, Boston/Chicago? AMAZING.

ho-lee shit was that a game.  I wonder if they've set a record for lead changes per series yet.

Haha get the hell out Boston!  It's a shame Nelson is injured.  With him Orlando could possibly play an actual series against Cleveland.  Without him I just don't they they have a chance.

Also, starting JJ Redick is never a good thing.

Edit:  So about 20 games into the season I got in an argument with someone who said Orlando sucked and could only beat up on bad teams during the regular season.  He also said Bayless would the Portland starting PG by season's end.  I told him that Bayless would stay third string and that Orlando was not NBA champion material, but that they'd lose to Cavs in ECF.  He told me Boston would sweep them if they even got to round 2.

So.
Point 1- I win
Point 2- I now win.  (Even if Magic go against me and beat Cleveland it still works for me since he claimed them to be fool's gold.)

However... I was totally wrong about Denver, but not because I underestimated Billups.  Nene is freaking amazing.

Bayless didn't technically stay third-string. He was second-string for a while. He should probably stay there, since Rodriguez only passes to his BFF.

Bayless went 7 games of actually playing more minutes than Sergio, although he came in third.  He then took Sergio's spot for 2 games.  After that he relost his spot.

4/20 shooting, 14 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 12 turnovers in 93 minutes is apparently bad.

Portland will trade Sergio to a team that isn't dead last in the league in pace though.

Awesome game 1 between Orlando and Cleveland.  It's about time we actually get to see the Cavs play a series.

No shit. Let's see if they can overcome a tough Orlando team, the first two rounds were snoozers.

Yeah, I'd still put my money on Cleveland winning the series, but hopefully it'll take them all 7 games to do it.

Man, if Jameer comes back 100% next year this Orlando team is gonna be scary.

Another good game.  Man these are looking to be 2 very good matchups.  A Denver/Orlando final probably won't happen, but it'd make me so happy just to see how mad it makes Stern.

Triple posting!  This series may not have had any overtimes yet, but if it continues like the first 2 games it'll be better than the Bulls/Celtics series easily.
Four games decided by a total of 7 points in the Conference Finals.  Epic goodness.

And, anyone who says that Stern is "telling" his refs to help ensure a Lakers/Cavs finals can go to hell.  That traveling call on Lebron almost cost Cleveland the game.  Granted, it was a blatant travel but you never see stuff like that called with 30 seconds to go in a tied game.  Props to whoever called that and that man should be reffing every game in the finals.

Hopefully Denver/Orlando can both hold their home court this weekend and make for some epic series.

Wow... simply a ridiculous series.  Wouldn't count Cleveland out though... I really doubt they'll lose at home again so game 6 could decide the series.

Hell yes. Every time somebody says foul calls shouldn't decide big games, I want to yell about it being the players who commit blatant fouls, not the refs, until I get hauled off to a padded room somewhere.
