Godlike:
1. Profound Darkness (PS4) - Feels right. Insane HP and very strong slugfesting, alongside a few tricks to handle PCs (mostly buffers). This is the top three of trannies (Avalon is a bit more questionable in that regard, but Evil Sonic gives him a pass!).
2. Jenna Angel (DDS) - Bhairava is evil and you can't stop her from using it. That's a winner, alright.
3. Avalon (LoL2) - The lucky bastard gets a legal formchain, which saves his ass durability-wise. Thus, he's a PD mold with far less HP and even worse speed, but more PC-killing tricks and an anti-physical trick on the second form (which doesn't let him outpace PD pdur, but it's the thought that counts). Still pretty nasty, although hard and fast magic gets him owned (he loses to Tir, for an example, since each form is just PCish for HP).
*PLUMMET.*
4. Dhaos (ToP) - Urgh. The spoiling game synergy is very good - quite possibly way too good. Thank god he fails so hard once you get past it.
5. Wren (PS4) - Hm. Weird pool past the high level, full of low Godlikes. Wren's stalling is just very hard to get past, though.
6. Lulu (FFX) - Speed ruins her? Sorta. However, getting past everything else is a complete bitch.
7. Ash Lambert (VH) - Comparing him to Wren and Lulu... he lacks the multiple spoiling tools going for him, although he has better resources. I think that keeps him down.
Elemental walling, OHKO non-elemental damage, parasitic healing that keeps her going forever, accurate ID, ridiculous evasion, solid mdur... it just adds up.
8. Sir Leopold (DQ8) - Not that much more durable than Dhaos, but his damage of both types works, and he can actually put pressure on healers and buffers. Thankfully isn't that slow either.
9. Luther Lansfeld (SO3) - The limit range is just too hard to get past off that speed. Fails really epically before he gets started, but 75% limit range with that many strings attached against the opponent is pretty sexy, and a few resistances help. On the other hand, the HP and being entirely evadable... I could waffle on the positions from 4-9 anytime.
10. Magus (CT) - Worse spoiler than Dhaos, honestly.
11. Jessica Albert (DQ8) - Barely Godlike.
12. Jecht (FFX) - Not Godlike.
Heavy:
1. Kary (FF1) - Brutally good at PC-killing and slugfesting. Spoilable, but what can you do? Hold is evil, and her damage/defenses work wonderfully.
2. Nina (BoF4) - In spite of the pathetic damage and apparently eyebrow-raising durability, she's incredibly difficult to kill. You can't whore her out, you have to outlast her. And with that level of speed and resources, odds are you're not managing.
3. Donald Duck (KH) - He's an incredibly evil PC-killer with the Stop+Gravija combo, and that's not even his only resource. Voting the likes of Edea and Albert Simon over him is insane: his PC-killing is harder to resist, he's far harder to kill, he's faster and effectively far more durable, with the options of infinite full healing, elemental walling and Aero stalling to the side - and the fact he mostly can't be OHKOed. Kills PCs who don't stop him from getting a turn and slugfester bosses slower than him with a vengeance, but the status vulnerability is admittedly problematic, as is his hilariously bad damage (erring on the side of 7HKO? Wow, fail). On the other hand, the contingent of people he -does- kill is very vast.
4. Hiro (Lunar:EBC) - EBO... well, 2HKO damage, good speed and 100% ID go a long way. Even moreso when the damage is ITE (as is the ID) and he has strong equip options against status.
5. Hugo (S3) - Very solid jack-of-all-trades type, being good at almost everything he does. Good damage, speed, a few match-winning tricks, great evasion, full healing... yeah, just a great package.
6. Nel Zelpher (SO3) - Sorta similar to Hugo, but has the issue of having poor speed on her healing and lacking the physical spoiling, along being more spoilable herself. Lacks the good damage of both types, the turn-one "I win" status (even if it's limited on Hugo's case)... better statusblockers, though.
7. Geddoe (S3) - Slugfesting power is great. The spoilability is not. Strong Heavy mage.
8. Suicune (PKMN) - Pretty strong, just... not all that good within the context of this pool. This is a crazy strong list Heavy.
9. Id (XG) - Hey, it's Jeremy! Who gets barely OHKOed by average instead of slightly overkilled! And deals less damage! For more speed! And a non-physical damage backup! Good Heavy, but obviously has a few issues (mainly "getting OHKOed by average damage").
10. Cristo (DW4) - Good status and anti-damage game, but needs some more oomph. Solid Heavy.
11. Arngrim (VPs) - Okay. 2HKO damage, overkill on the second turn, good durability. Sorta like a more uneven Fogel with worse stats, but more definitive with his killing turn and has better equips.
12. Fogel (OB) - One-dimensional, but good at what he does. Has the typical OB issues, though.
13. Edea Kramer (FF8) - ID is all she has going for her. Maelstrom sucks with her damage options, and she's not fast or durable enough to make it stick. ID is a better PC-killing trick than what Simon has, though, since at least she doesn't get uniformly reamed by Heavy healers (well, she does if they immune ID).
14. Albert Simon (SH1) - Initiative ??? hype = no. This leaves us with a PC HP boss who gets INITIATIVE 3HKO DAMAGE ZOMG and HP-1 off poor speed and random status whoring that just doesn't work with the speed/durability combo. He's Ultimecia trading the HP for better damage and ineffectual initiative. This is not a flattering comparison, and this is not a particularly winning trade.
Middle:
1. Nelis (S5) - Honestly, it's close between her and Jude. However, being able to wall elements, to heal-lock with her physical and OHKO the magically frail without much fuss off solid speed and non-fail physical durability (and downright good magical durability) owns Jude's gimmicky - if badass - speed game today. Being wallable is problematic, but can't win 'em all.
2. Jude Maverick (WA4) - The speed game with RA Assault Buster has a lot of variables, but it ends out quite badass in practice. WA4 statusblockers and the excellent speed don't hurt either. The magical durability obviously has issues, though, and god help him against magical status he can't block, because those aren't missing unless they really fail.
3. Fiora (FE7) - Very solid FE type. Awesomely anti-magical and solid evade+counters let her deal with physicals, too.
4. Mua (S3) - Holy shit the durability is -godly-. The speed is also great in practice, which helps his admittedly uninspiring offense. Nearly unkillable by physicals, well off against magic. Sorta fears healers who are fast, but he's otherwise great. What Oswin wishes he was, really.
5. Poco (AtLC) - Very solid healer with gallons of resources, solid damage, good MDef and MP busting. Physical durability woes are annoying, though.
6. Bowyer (SMRPG) - Gimmicky. The button-disabling is a waste of time, since it takes him two turns to make it work (and, off the sub-Mallow starting speed, that's going to get him killed on average), but perfect sleep+3HKO magic combo? That wins him matches nicely, and the defenses largely mitigate the sub-PC HP. Wall either Lightning or sleep and he's in trouble, but that's not a bad trick.
7. Harle (CC) - Solid CC type. Status being turn two is a downer, but the damage is solid.
8. Bowman Jean (SO2) - The lag after Sakura Attack isn't pretty, quite honestly, and his alternative is wallable. Otherwise, just a typical run-of-the-mill SO2 2HKOing Middle. He's well above the losers in this pool, though, and I guess the equip options are nice.
9. Charizard (PKMN) - Also solid, but less notable on raw stats than Harle, I feel.
10. Meru (LoD) - Honestly, I think she's not that good nowadays. The 2HKOing is nice off her speed, but the durability has issues, and the healing just isn't great. Then, evasion fucks her up so very badly.
11. Katt (BoF2) - Borderline 2HKO with evadable physicals and poor durability. Sounds suspiciously similar to Meru, but without her fallbacks.
12. Nergal (FE7) - Durability anti-hype for Nergal is well-founded on reality. >_> His HP is horrible and his defenses aren't the quite the awesome you'd expect, especially considering the level of offense he has to endure (S Rank weapons, Nilsnian buffs, full supports, Athos). I don't even respect the 2HKO all that much, so this leaves us with someone who gets 2HKOed by average damage of both types and gets doubled right and left, and he doesn't even have the punch or defenses to avoid dying like Lyon does. That's winnar.
13. Frog (CT) - However... man, Frog. Status immunity and healing are all he has. Very poor against other healer types, can't apply pressure ever, doesn't take magic all that well... just sorta is there. He reminds me of Mallow. Would go miles in a Light pool and deserves being in Middle, but he was in Light once for a reason.
Light:
1. Taya (SF2) - Smash.
2. Melody Vilente (WA3) - Tanks waaaay too well in Light. POIZN immunity is common, but she tends to just own Light by staying in the fray longer than they do.
3. Anri (SF1) - Non-slug and frail 2HKO > 3HKO of both types that's fast and frail to me today.
4. Sten (BoF2) - Yeah. Fast 3HKO to both defenses probably works against this pool.
5. Randi (SoM) - Average, but durable. Works.
6. Wilme (7S) - Ehhhh. Evade is solid, ID is turn two, and he sorta sucks elsewhere. The magic durability is just horrific.
7. Pikachu (PKMN) - Way too frail.
8. Russell Bergman (SRT:OG1) - Fails at damage, but is a bitch to kill. Funny that.
9. Karn (BoF1) - Fast 3HKO of one type off sub-Sten durability.
10. Rude (FF7) - Slow 3HKO of one type! That's wallable! And he's no durability god! Yeah.
11. Brey (DW4) - Almost as frail as Pikachu to physicals, and even less capable of ending things on one turn. Neat skillset, but the durability makes him doomed to fail.
12. Palmer (FF7) - Evade is nice, I guess? The poor slugfesting, poor durability, poor speed and poor resources aren't.
13. Tai Ho (Suikos) - Eeeeeeeeh.
14. Goofy (KH) - Ahahahahahaha evadable physical 5HKO damage and practically nothing else.
