Bound Together (EB remixes) - ~FATSHIT~ [Guitar Arrange Plus] (Earthbound) vs Uncharted Waters 2 Special Edition - Wind Ahead (Uncharted Waters 2) - Not a discordant assault on my eardrums.
Lukardow - Mana Palace (Seiken Densetsu) vs ZTS - Sore demo dare ka wo suki ni naru -cooperate- (December When There is No Angel) - They're both pretty similar, so it's a tough call. I think the latter song is ever-so-slightly more enjoyable, although the Seiken Densetsu track was not bad by any means.
Protricity - Forest Birdcussion OC Remix (Donkey Kong Country 2) vs Xenogears Creid - Balto (Xenogears) - Forest Birdcussion was pleasant for a while, but it got a bit repetitive near the end. It would probably be better if it was about a minute shorter.
Darangen - Final Fantasy Warriors of Light OC ReMix (Final Fantasy 1) vs The Black Mages - Darkness and Starlight (Final Fantasy 6) - Argh. Completely pointless talking during the song? No.

Parasite Eve OST (unused) - Influence of Deep -CM Version- (Parasite Eve) vs Squaredance - Mechanicalcobrena (Squaredance) (Final Fantasy IV) - Not the best Parasite Eve track ever made, but God damn, that Calbrena music had way too many unnecessary sound effects.
The Black Mages - Seymour Battle (Final Fantasy X) vs Okami Retro Tracks - Spirit Extermination (Okami) - Bwuh? Are you sure that Seymour Battle track is a remix? It sounds exactly like the in-game track to me. Either way, I like the Okami track enough to vote for it without feeling guilty.
Fairlight - Test of Island Courage (Startropics) vs IOSYS - You Should Drink Cucumber Flavored Beer! (Mountain of Faith) - ...Jesus Christ on a Unicycle
VP1 Arrange Soundtrack - To the Last Drop of my Blood~Reoccurring Frightening Category (Valkyrie Profile) vs MAIKAZE - Candid Friend Vocal arrange (Mountain of Faith) - The Valkyrie Profile track was -- dare I say it? -- kind of boring. Maikaze had personality, at least.

Protricity - Forest Birdcussion OC Remix (Donkey Kong Country 2) vs Xenogears Creid - Balto (Xenogears): Eh, both are decent enough.
Darangen - Final Fantasy Warriors of Light OC ReMix (Final Fantasy 1) vs The Black Mages - Darkness and Starlight (Final Fantasy 6): Narration = no.
Parasite Eve OST (unused) - Influence of Deep -CM Version- (Parasite Eve) vs Squaredance - Mechanicalcobrena (Squaredance) (Final Fantasy IV): A favorite. The other track's neat, but...yeah.
The Black Mages - Seymour Battle (Final Fantasy X) vs Okami Retro Tracks - Spirit Extermination (Okami): The opposition's cute, but cute's nowhere near good enough here.
Fairlight - Test of Island Courage (Startropics) vs IOSYS - You Should Drink Cucumber Flavored Beer! (Mountain of Faith): I officially hate Nitori.
VP1 Arrange Soundtrack - To the Last Drop of my Blood~Reoccurring Frightening Category (Valkyrie Profile) vs MAIKAZE - Candid Friend Vocal arrange (Mountain of Faith): I hate Nitori. Even if this one's not actually his fault. VP track doesn't do much but change the timbre of the synths a little. And the song's not significantly better for it. More to the point, points off for mixing in the game's worst dungeon theme in the middle. Thus, I'm obliged to vote for the opposition.

EDIT: No, Nitori. I MEANT WHAT I SAID.

Neither is great, but the EB piece is actively bad.

There's some great Seiken Densetsu remixes out there, but Mana Palace isn't one of them.  The ZTS song is actually pretty nice.

Both are meh.
Darangen - Final Fantasy Warriors of Light OC ReMix (Final Fantasy 1) vs The Black Mages - Darkness and Starlight (Final Fantasy 6)
Auto-win against that shambling mess of an FF6 remix.  Still not a fan of the lyrics when the BMs use them.  The FF1 piece isn't bad.
Parasite Eve OST (unused) - Influence of Deep -CM Version- (Parasite Eve) vs Squaredance - Mechanicalcobrena (Squaredance) (Final Fantasy IV)
Champ of this pod without question.  Influence of Deep is awesome.  Mechanicalcobrena is actually pretty neat too, and beats most of the other songs here.

I like retro remixes, but eh.  I like the BM's version of Seymour Battle too.

Auto-win vs. Cucumber.   Test of Island Courage is passable on its own, I guess.

Surprisingly close.  Both are a little overlong for their own good...  but the VP tracks feels a little less repetitive.

Bound Together (EB remixes) - ~FATSHIT~ [Guitar Arrange Plus] (Earthbound) vs Uncharted Waters 2 Special Edition - Wind Ahead (Uncharted Waters 2) - Wind Ahead is pretty... and pretty boring.  Fatshit I'm not that big a fan of, but it at least has variety going for it.

Lukardow - Mana Palace (Seiken Densetsu) vs ZTS - Sore demo dare ka wo suki ni naru -cooperate- (December When There is No Angel) - Very nice match, I love both.  Going with the one that has more original sounds.

Protricity - Forest Birdcussion OC Remix (Donkey Kong Country 2) vs Xenogears Creid - Balto (Xenogears) - Familiar with both of these, easy vote.  Birdcussion isn't Proticity's best work by a long shot.

Darangen - Final Fantasy Warriors of Light OC ReMix (Final Fantasy 1) vs The Black Mages - Darkness and Starlight (Final Fantasy 6) - Another clear pick.  Kinda low end OCR quality here.

Parasite Eve OST (unused) - Influence of Deep -CM Version- (Parasite Eve) vs Squaredance - Mechanicalcobrena (Squaredance) (Final Fantasy IV) - Close to me, I like Mechanicalcobrena.  But... yeah.

The Black Mages - Seymour Battle (Final Fantasy X) vs Okami Retro Tracks - Spirit Extermination (Okami) - Yet again I kinda dig the loser too, but Seymour is one of my favorites from the Black Mages and uh yeah.

Fairlight - Test of Island Courage (Startropics) vs IOSYS - You Should Drink Cucumber Flavored Beer! (Mountain of Faith) - Apathy vote.  The Startropics song is bland as heck.  IOSYS is... um... different...

They're both nice, but I like the piano more.

There's a soft spot in my heart for the Opera Scene, and there's some really fun bits in here to boot.

Parasite Eve OST (unused) - Influence of Deep -CM Version- (Parasite Eve) vs Squaredance - Mechanicalcobrena (Squaredance) (Final Fantasy IV)
No real love for either of them, but I find the FFIV track to be a little jarring, and hence less worthy of moving on.

The Black Mages - Seymour Battle (Final Fantasy X) vs Okami Retro Tracks - Spirit Extermination (Okami)
Not a big fan of Seymour.

Fairlight - Test of Island Courage (Startropics) vs IOSYS - You Should Drink Cucumber Flavored Beer! (Mountain of Faith)
I will admit that sometimes I want music to leave me horribly disturbed.  But that's when I'm in the right mood...  Aside from that, it's...  so...  cute...  But WHAT THE HELL IS IT?!

Not a big fan of either, but I'm willing to go with the one that sounds more coherant and well put together.

Lukardow - Mana Palace (Seiken Densetsu) vs ZTS - Sore demo dare ka wo suki ni naru -cooperate- (December When There is No Angel)- Need to grab the mana palace remix, it is most excellent. ZTS is a pretty ending theme at least.

~FATSHIT~ [Guitar Arrange Plus] vs Wind Ahead - Fat is surprisingly decent for a Pacaud track. That being said, it's still a Pacaud (that isn't Meow Meow). Wind Ahead isn't especially great, but it doesn't NEED to be. It has some nice hoppiness going on anyway.
Mana Palace vs Sore demo dare ka wo suki ni naru -cooperate- - Hmm... Palace is a bit repetitive and somewhat tinny, whereas Sore is less repetitive but more tinny. They're both nice - another surprise here saying that about ZTS - I think I'm going to go with Sore for more variety, in fact.
Forest Birdcussion vs Balto - Birds fail at life, which interestingly matches this bird track. Can it really be just a coincidence? Meanwhile Balto is one of the Creid tracks that isn't an affront at life to the original.
Warriors of Light vs Darkness and Starlight - Warriors starts off lifeless but gets itself together reasonably quickly. Darkness goes all over the place and isn't worth its track time.
Influence of Deep -CM Version- vs Mechanicalcobrena (Squaredance) - Eh, I'd had enough fat lady by the end of Darkness and Starlight. On the other hand I contain considerable hate for the Calcobrena tune. Tssssssk. I'm going to have to go with Mechanical here in the hopes that it dies easily next round.
Seymour Battle vs Spirit Extermination - Decent versus I'm not feeling GBO sounds today.
Test of Island Courage vs You Should Drink Cucumber Flavored Beer! - Island Courage is overly tropical and it falls to pieces at the end. It is however up against the bastard child of Furby and the Care Bears.
To the Last Drop of my Blood~Reoccurring Frightening Category vs Candid Friend Vocal arrange - Last Drop of Blood has style, but it's too slow. Candid Friend doesn't hit the grog anywhere near as much as Cucumber and takes this with decent vocals.a
