CarbohydroM - The duck side of the moon (Duck Tales) vs Darangen - Deadly Promises (Final Fantasy 6) - Duck Side of the Moon!  Other track's decent as well, but nothing to write home about and it's up against a personal favorite here.

Chocobo no Fushigina COI VANNI GIALLI - COI VANNI GIALLI (Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon) vs Tsukigatari - Tsukigatari (Tsukihime) - See first match, pretty much.  Orchestral chocobo is cute and all, but it's just orchestral chocobo, and wears out its welcome around halfway through.  Then on the other hand you have WAVE, which is instant win vs spinpires.

DarkeSword - The Father Of All (Megaman X4) - ZTS - Getsuei -pillage (Tsukihime) - Man, how'd all the Type Moon music get in the same pool?  Anyway, this is pretty clear cut, despite the techno being not horribly offensive.

Wild ARMs Music the Best Rocking Heart - FATE BREAKER (Wild ARMs 3) vs Aether - Meridian Dance (Seiken Densetsu 3) - below average vs above average.  Neither really grips me.

Game Over - The Grim Reaper (Castlevania 1) vs GYAKUTEN MEETS JAZZ SOUL - Shibakuzou Toranosuke - Swinging Zenitora (Phoenix Wright 3) - Close match.  To me.  Throwing Grim Reaper a vote since I doubt anyone else will.  The lyrics are meant to be horribly cheesy!

The Black Mages - Clash on the Big Bridge (Final Fantasy 5) vs S.S.H. - Fallen Angel Of Silvery Snow (Super Robot Taisen Impact) - Underdogs what what.  I don't really like what the Black Mages did to Big Bridge, and the opposition's in the same style and good enough for me to take it.

Redeemer - Swivel (Seiken Densetsu 3) vs zyko - Final Fantasy 7 Of Transformants and Brevity OC ReMix (Final Fantasy 7) - Did I get three noms in this pool somehow?  Odd.  Anyway, another good serviceable track pitted against a big personal favorite of mine.  Seems to be a theme of this pool.  In this case the favorite is zyko; atmosphere is awesome.

ZTS - Shisen -evaporation (Kagetsu Tohya) vs Morrigan - I-III / Excalibur (Fate/Stay Night) - More Type Moon, more Alex noms, more WAVE, this is undoubtedly the easiest call of the pool.  Excalibur has a long buildup but is amazing once it gets going.

Chocobo no Fushigina COI VANNI GIALLI - COI VANNI GIALLI (Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon) vs Tsukigatari - Tsukigatari (Tsukihime) - The chocobo track has this long awkward silence towards the end which really hurts, and I didn't really care for the short bit that came after it.  Pity, it might have taken this otherwise.

DarkeSword - The Father Of All (Megaman X4) - ZTS - Getsuei -pillage (Tsukihime) - Doesn't overstay its welcome less than a minute in.

Wild ARMs Music the Best Rocking Heart - FATE BREAKER (Wild ARMs 3) vs Aether - Meridian Dance (Seiken Densetsu 3) - Not particularly close, for all that I'm not a huge fan of Meridian Dance.

Game Over - The Grim Reaper (Castlevania 1) vs GYAKUTEN MEETS JAZZ SOUL - Shibakuzou Toranosuke - Swinging Zenitora (Phoenix Wright 3) - This isn't close, either

The Black Mages - Clash on the Big Bridge (Final Fantasy 5) vs S.S.H. - Fallen Angel Of Silvery Snow (Super Robot Taisen Impact) - Wow.  Not easy voting against Big Bridge, especially since it's the first round, but it's going up against a mix of two of my favorite SRW tracks.  That Big Bridge sorta falls off for a bit doesn't help its case, either.

Redeemer - Swivel (Seiken Densetsu 3) vs zyko - Final Fantasy 7 Of Transformants and Brevity OC ReMix (Final Fantasy 7) - Catchier.

ZTS - Shisen -evaporation (Kagetsu Tohya) vs Morrigan - I-III / Excalibur (Fate/Stay Night) - Shisen is not music, it is noise, and probably auto-fails against everything that's been presented thus far.  On the other hand, Excalibur is good once it starts.

DarkeSword - The Father Of All (Megaman X4) vs. ZTS - Getsuei -pillage (Tsukihime) - The other song isn't bad, but that Megaman track was pretty catchy.

Game Over - The Grim Reaper (Castlevania 1) vs GYAKUTEN MEETS JAZZ SOUL - Shibakuzou Toranosuke - Swinging Zenitora (Phoenix Wright 3) - Call me crazy, but I actually liked the Castlevania track.
The Black Mages - Clash on the Big Bridge (Final Fantasy 5) vs S.S.H. - Fallen Angel Of Silvery Snow (Super Robot Taisen Impact) - Fallen Angel sounds like it's trying too hard (if that makes any sense).
Redeemer - Swivel (Seiken Densetsu 3) vs zyko - Final Fantasy 7 Of Transformants and Brevity OC ReMix (Final Fantasy 7) - It's definitely not the type of track that will appeal to everybody, but I like Transformants and Brevity. It's got a haunting quality to it, which is hard to pull off in a remix.
ZTS - Shisen -evaporation (Kagetsu Tohya) vs Morrigan - I-III / Excalibur (Fate/Stay Night) - Why...why did Shisen stop and get so slow and serious halfway through the song? I was actually enjoying it up to that point. At least Excalibur is consistent throughout (despite the slow build-up, but that's forgivable since it wasn't that bad).

Game Over - The Grim Reaper (Castlevania 1) vs GYAKUTEN MEETS JAZZ SOUL - Shibakuzou Toranosuke - Swinging Zenitora (Phoenix Wright 3): The lyrics are silly, but hey, it's against jazz music. Jazz generally does nothing for me.
The Black Mages - Clash on the Big Bridge (Final Fantasy 5) vs S.S.H. - Fallen Angel Of Silvery Snow (Super Robot Taisen Impact): Pretty much the best the Black Mages have done, I think, and it'll be hard to top in this contest.
Redeemer - Swivel (Seiken Densetsu 3) vs zyko - Final Fantasy 7 Of Transformants and Brevity OC ReMix (Final Fantasy 7): Eerie. Breaks down near the end like someone's been listening to Joe Satriani outtakes, but hey, nothing wrong with that.
ZTS - Shisen -evaporation (Kagetsu Tohya) vs Morrigan - I-III / Excalibur (Fate/Stay Night): More focused, better mood swings.

DarkeSword - The Father Of All (Megaman X4) vs ZTS - Getsuei -pillage (Tsukihime): Ehhh alright over not my style.
Wild ARMs Music the Best Rocking Heart - FATE BREAKER (Wild ARMs 3) vs Aether - Meridian Dance (Seiken Densetsu 3): Meridian Dance is fun stuff. Fate breaking is way too slow for what it tries to be.

The Black Mages - Clash on the Big Bridge (Final Fantasy 5) vs S.S.H. - Fallen Angel Of Silvery Snow (Super Robot Taisen Impact): Mm. Big Bridge is going to be hard to beat at its own game. Excellent try, though.
Redeemer - Swivel (Seiken Densetsu 3) vs zyko - Final Fantasy 7 Of Transformants and Brevity OC ReMix (Final Fantasy 7): Transformants is noise. Swivel is worse than Mana Label's but hardly bad.

Slaughter.  I downloaded the Rocking Heart album to give it a listen once, and had I bought it I'd have had a case for fraud; no track whatsoever on that album in any way rocks.  The Meridian Dance remix is nice.  (The sad thing is that Fate Breaker is one of my two favorite songs from the WA3 soundtrack.)

Swivel is neat.  It's short and ends abruptly, but I like it.  Of Transformants goes nowhere and blends into the background entirely too wel.

Excalibur certainly SOUNDS like it's interesting and dramatic, but I'm not sure if the content can back up that kind of an orchestration.  Still easily better than a bad piece.

These are both good, so I'm sad to see one go.  But, I just like Terra's theme more than the Ducktales one.

CarbohydroM - The duck side of the moon (Duck Tales) vs Darangen - Deadly Promises (Final Fantasy 6) - Both are good, tiebroken by the fact that Moondust is up against awesome music in the other pool and I want one of the moon songs to move on(for all I personally prefer Moondust to this one).
Chocobo no Fushigina COI VANNI GIALLI - COI VANNI GIALLI (Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon) vs Tsukigatari - Tsukigatari (Tsukihime)
DarkeSword - The Father Of All (Megaman X4) - ZTS - Getsuei -pillage (Tsukihime) - Hmm.  Don't really like either of these, honestly.
Wild ARMs Music the Best Rocking Heart - FATE BREAKER (Wild ARMs 3) vs Aether - Meridian Dance (Seiken Densetsu 3) - Or these.  Not bad, just... horribly mediocre and easy to tune out.
Game Over - The Grim Reaper (Castlevania 1) vs GYAKUTEN MEETS JAZZ SOUL - Shibakuzou Toranosuke - Swinging Zenitora (Phoenix Wright 3) - I guess? 
The Black Mages - Clash on the Big Bridge (Final Fantasy 5) vs S.S.H. - Fallen Angel Of Silvery Snow (Super Robot Taisen Impact) - A lot of stuff so far would lose to Fallen Angel, but this is the Big Bridge done well.
Redeemer - Swivel (Seiken Densetsu 3) vs zyko - Final Fantasy 7 Of Transformants and Brevity OC ReMix (Final Fantasy 7) - Back to blah.

The Duck Side of the Moon vs Deadly Promises - Hmph, Duck takes too long to really get started and then it's not around for long enough. Deadly takes even longer to start up and it's not especially worth it once it does, and then it goes on for too long.
COI VANNI GIALLI vs Tsukigatari - Ah man, there's Vanni being all nice and classiclish, then it randomly dies for a while and turns all old-timey for no good reason. Crazy. But then Tsukigatari turns out to mostly be a negatively energetic singer.
The Father Of All vs Getsuei - pillage - Father is generally vaguely pretty in general, whereas Pillage ranges from annoying to boring.
FATE BREAKER vs Meridian Dance - Mm, Fate's pretty nice, but it's a bit slow and it's got some questionable instrument choices. Meridian meanwhile approaches beauty.
The Grim Reaper vs Shibakuzou Toranosuke - Swinging Zenitora - Grim Reaper sounds like it could almost be a real song from several decades back, so I approve. Meanwhile Zenitora has a godawful groove going on there.
Clash on the Big Bridge vs Fallen Angel Of Silvery Snow - Really don't care much for this version of Big Bridge. Unlike my thoughts on this version of Angel, which is a great track with energy.
Swivel vs Of Transformants and Brevity - Swivel tries, just... not very well. Extremely conveniently for it, it's found itself up against the atrociously cacaphonous Transformants.
Shisen - evaporation vs I-III / Excalibur - Well, Shisen is theoretically potentially worth listening to at least, unlike Pillage. However I consider Excalibur actually decentlish and far more worth my time.
