I've just realised that the final four were all part of the scum team from incompetent mafia.
KHAN: I'm sorta curious, why did you do stuff like extend day 1 into sudden death?
Necessity-ish. I'd lost so much time with my main computer deciding to blow up, I was ever so slightly feverish and getting on for very tired, so I knew my ability to reason quickly was out the window, but had promised I'd be around for the deadline. As much as what I said that could be true was - I did come on expecting to vote for the little queen, then Mr. Yangus made really quite a convincing post on Mr. Flanders, and then Mr. Flanders made what I felt would look like quite a good vanilla defence. I knew I'd have been in a lot more trouble if I'd just said 'stuff it, let's go with Mr. Flanders anyway' if I didn't have supporting material (and probably even if I did), so sudden death was strictly better for all involved. The scum ploy in play there was just 'if in doubt, do what you'd do as town', but I otherwise looked fairly crap because that was my state of mind at the time.
Any other events in mind? I leapt on and then off of Miss Excel on day 3 as bait that Mr. Miyagi picked up and ran with, and so that it didn't just look like I was taking the paths of least resistance. Actually, when I put that argument down I'd just jumped on to thinking that Miss Excel actually was the cop, as it was the only way that seemed to me at the time that would explain why she was expecting that there might be no cop from the other claims and was hoping that it would make her squirm to back it up, but then did realise that it was theoretically justifiable, so the climb down was genuine.
And sure, I insisted on playing out day 3 right to the end so that it looked like I was desperate to get my view out for fear of being killed that night.
Leading day 2 into sudden death was probably the golden moment, given that it dropped suspicion on practically everyone else. Not that I'd expected even Mr. Yangus to show up, but that made it beautiful.
