Timeframe doesn't matter for me, though if it's August QR will definately not be able to come(unless we bring the child as well, and nobody wants THAT).

Still, she's undecided on coming or not anyway, so she wouldn't want people to take her "maybe July, no August" into serious consideration when setting a date.

Hmm...yeah, count me in as usual.  Close enough that I'll probably just bus down there or something too, so it should even cost less than usual!

Ok, updated main post with people coming, maybe coming, coming depending on the date, and no.

So, date discussion...it seems the majority of people are up for early August or late-late July.  So...the 31st of July to the 8th of August or so?  Sometime within that period?

(Again, Friday is the 31st)

The times in July would be...24th-31st?  Within that period?  It seems August would be best for most people to make it, as long as school doesn't start early.  So is the general consensus that first week in August?  How long?  5 days?  So a Friday to Wednesday or so?  August might actually be best for me, as I'm sure I could get time off no matter where I am.

Let me know what seems best for you guys.

ALSO:  Any comments on WHERE you guys would prefer it to be held?  See first post in the topic for details.

If you're interested in Florida, Gref, check Orlando. I should be set up in an apartment by then and could put you up.

As for the place, 1 or 3, OK. The West Virginia option doesn't sound too good, and if there's overflow in the house you rent then people can get a hotel or crash at your place like what happened last time in San Fran..

Coming, barring significant unseen circumstance.  Even money's not a huge issue, Pittsburg is close enough to sanely bus or something.

Oh, by the way, and this will probably increase my chances of showing up, if anyone has plans on driving to Pittsburgh and New Mexico isn't too far out of their way, I'd be willing to pitch in food and gas money in exchange for a ride.  Though it might not end up being less expensive than flying; I'd have to check.

Maybe. Don't know yet.

Date won't be a factor. If I don't come, it's because of the whole flying coast to coast for an internet meetup thing. If I decide to come, any date will do.

Put me down as a maybe, please. I have a strong inclination to show up, but travel for me is fairly tricky.

Provided my health stays as good as it's been for the past eight months or so, I should be fine to show up.

Date really isn't a huge factor for me either, really.  Don't know if I would be able to pull a whole week off work though, and I'm not sure how many other people would either.  Might want to take that into account when you look at housing, you'll need to get a rough idea of how many people will only be there for a weekend so you don't get someplace that's too expensive for the ones that stay for the entire time.  I'd personally say keep looking for housing a little closer to you, an hour is quite a drive to be making repeatedly for taxi service and that makes having a backup plan or any real activities outside the house a little rougher.  I mean, it's just not DLCon without me winning at bowling. <_< >_>

Oh, yeah, might as well voice this since it will matter for housing:  If I show, it'll only be for the first weekend for sure.  Maybe a little bit longer (flights are cheaper the further into the week you are), but I'm almost positive that taking a full week off of work would be impossible no matter where I end up working.  But yeah, not going to be there the full week regardless.

Not to mention I'm not entirely sure I can stand to be nice to you shitheads for a full week.

Don't think of it as a novel. Think of it as a chance to retroactively win every argument you have ever walked away from.

All of you cooped up together for a week?

I give it 3 days before a copy of Fire Emblem comes out and there's bloodshed.

That almost wants me to have a Fire Emblem: Duelling League game.

So a Friday to Wednesday or so?
"Friday to Wednesday" is a really weird time period.  I'd rather just take a week off, than a couple of days from one week and a couple of days from the next.
