I will do tricky wordsmithing in the morning, when neurons are doing something more resembling firing.

I'm having some trouble comprehending what exactly this means.  Lemme see if I have it straight:

"If a vote is taken on an issue that would require a unanimous consensus to pass instead of a simple majority, it now requires only a simple majority, and the point bonuses and penalties for voting against the grain are nulled for that vote."

I'm pretty sure that's what it is. It's not invalid to say that any proposal requiring unanminity is going to fail (if nothing else because Bardiche exists and hates everyone but the players barely anyone supports.)

I dunno. I kinda don't like it. None of the immutable rules really need changing as far as I can tell, and this takes away the possibility of introducing other potential actions that would require unaminity to pass. Various wordsmithing issues include the fact that since there's only 'one' vote, the player proposing the proposal in this instance will always receive full points if his proposal passes.

I probably would mind less if it was explicitly stated to require player unaminity to trigger, thus dodging the issue of some mobvoter going 'lol no'. Of course the mob would hate that. So yeah.

So what are you saying, Rat?  That you would prefer to simply suspend the non-player vote when unanimous rules come along?  Also, the first part of the proposal is a copy/paste of what's already there, and that's a rule I'd rather not change for the moment.

As regards Alex, that is nothing like what is meant at all.  It means that the non-players will get a single collective vote, equal in weight and legitimacy to the vote originally given to every player.  This vote will be cast by a majority vote among all those sources of votes that do not belong to a player.  In fact, let's revise this a bit.

306 b) Though players are unaffected, there will be a single non-player vote.  This vote will be cast in accordance to the majority of the non-player votes cast on the motion in question.

Yes, actually, that's pretty much what I was saying.

With that said, if you treat the mob as a single entity for the purposes of votes that require unaminity only, I'm fine with that. Which is what you suggested, yes?

Yes, the opening text is a more floral than required version of IF X THEN MOBB VOTE = UNLIMITED, VSM TREAT = ON:  IF NOT X THEN MOBB VOTE = 1, VSM TREAT = OFF.

Since Rat hasn't started the voting phase yet, let's get a final wording in.

Amendment to 306:  A rule-change is adopted if and only if there is a positive majority among the eligible voters.  If, and only if, a vote requires unanimity, then the following two rules apply.  a) All bonus or penalties for voting for or against a proposal are nullified with the exception of those pertaining to the person making the proposal.  b) Though players are unaffected, there will be a single non-player vote.  This vote will be cast in accordance to the majority of the non-player votes cast on the motion in question.

Voting phase!

324: Amendment to 306:  A rule-change is adopted if and only if there is a positive majority among the eligible voters.

325: 325. During the Voting Phase, a player may send the (unofficial) Game Moderator a single PM, seperate from their vote PM to exchange Points with another player. The player must declare the amount of Points he wants to exchange, and to which Player. A player may never trade more Points than he currently possesses, and cannot trade Points if they have a negative amount of Points. If a player would be declared the victor through Point exchange, then the exchange is void.
Once exchanged, the specified amount of Points is deducted from the player what sent the PM, and added to the Points pool of the player specified in the PM.

Remember there are two proposals, please tell me what you're voting for each one.

Whoop! Nothing to see here.
EDIT 2

And since I complained about being confused by ending on a post that wasn't Rat's:

WE ARE IN THE VOTING PHASE.

There's no rules against posting in the voting phase and I see no reason to be confused by ending on a post that isn't Rat's.  If you're not reading then you deserve to be confused, frankly. <_<

Apologies for the delay. Also apologies for numbering errors. I think I know your proper votes, though.

The player must declare the amount of Points he wants to exchange, and to which Player. Rule 326 - From now on, the name of this game shall be known as OM NOM NOM NOMIC, and the topic title will be changed to reflect this. This rule can also be referred to as "Kilgamayan Fanservice Clause".

I'm not sure if I'm serious or not.

FUCK YES YOU ARE THE BEST PROPOSAL EVER \o/

Also someone else needs to follow this up by proposing a rule about any player that refers to the game as Nomic instead of OM NOM NOM NOMIC losing ten points for each offense.
