In other times, Johnny and Tidus would probably get along pretty well. A pair of energetic, blond-haired youths with a personal secret not even they themselves know, both rookie swordsmen. They even both hail from two of the biggest urban centres in the RPG multiverse, in Zanarkand and... well, New York City. Both seem unassuming, their youth and inexperience belying their Godlike power, which both can unleash with surprising speed. So what's the difference? Well, apart from the fact that Johnny's penchant for candid photography and Tidus' status as a celebrity make them natural enemies, there's the simple disparity in their power. On the other hand, Tidus' chances of surviving Ether Purge? Let's just say they're worse than the pre-Tidus Besaid Aurochs winning a championship. And thus, the Zanarkand Abe is going to learn what countless Lovecraftian horrors have learned before him: don't mess with New Yorkers.
