Certainly, Reis had a much more comfortable upbringing than Arietta (granted, not much could have a -worse- upbringing), but she is still well-versed in the life spent among monsters, the kinship that can arise between them, the subtle art of communicating your will to them. But that understanding is no barrier to an all-out battle here - far on the contrary!
