I'm very notably hirsute, to the point where I probably shed more in a day than most of you grow in a week. And yes, most of it's because I am honestly too lazy to spend the ten minutes of cumulative upkeep it would take to keep it managable.

He also used to have a full-blown beard, but he shaved it off to have something biopsied and then never looked back. You have no idea how weird it was for me to see my dad without a beard for the first few months.

I don't really do mustaches on their own. That and shaving my chin causes it to break out because it hasn't been done regularly since I turned 15.

Ditto. Extensive facial hair is uncomfortable and itchy as hell. I only bother to shave it off once a week, though, so there's about half a week's worth of stubble on average.

I don't think he had the loops waxed up, no. It was kinda like my dad's mustache, which was amusing.

Perma stubble.  I shave once a week, so I look clean cut on Monday and the rest of the week I don't.  Like VSM, I get more compliments when I let it grow for a bit, but that's annoying.

Clean shaven.  My facial hair grows so fast that I have to shave every other day.  It used to be once a day back when I had an electric razor, which broke a couple months ago.  I now use a regular razor.

Bah, I've got the beard with the 'Stache going right now, but alternate between that and a goatee. Normally nice, neat, and trimmed, and kept quite short. But I'm in a "Who can go the longest without shaving to prove who's the manliest" competition right now so it's not the prettiest. XP

Punishment for shaving is having to watch an entire season of Coronation Street with only 2-3 bathroom breaks. And writing episode reviews to prove you did it. Needless to say, I'm not shaving until April when the competition is called off.

My laziness would go perma-stubble, if only it didn't turn goatee on me so quickly. Wish I could grow a 'stache just as fast, I usually hover between a disorganized mess, goatee, and the occasional clean shave.

As for myself, I find facial hair to be several shades of unnatractive. Can't stand it on myself, so I shave every other day(which basically means I have perma stubble becuase it grows in THAT fast). And on anyone else, facial hair will drop a guy's looks about 4 points on a 10 point scale for me. Just do not like it.

I'm actually pretty surprised how many people have facial hair in this topic. It's probably just a local thing, because it's a relatively uncommon thing to see here (and in my experience, on the Pacific coast in general). Not rare but a minority, for sure. I guess it's because we don't have winters which make the added cold protection much more desirable. <_<

It's a bit of a cultural thing, actually.  I mean, I also grew up in Vancouver, but I knew a lot of Chemistry faculty and grad students at UBC through my father, which seem to have about a 50% chance of having a beard.  On the other hand, Asians, at least the ones who come to Vancouver, seem extremely unlikely to have facial hair.  (Though again, this varies by culture--I want to say Japanese men are more likely to have beards than Chinese men).
