Arceus (Pokémon) vs Heat (Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga Series) - Gut. Arceus would need solid MT, I think. Close, though.

Heavy

Togekiss (Pokémon) vs Garan (Shadow Hearts: Covenant) - MP Busting makes this not work out well, I'm inclined to say.

Middle

Shine Hausen (Super Robot Taisen Series) vs Valeria (Suikoden Series) - uh

Light

No votes.

Roddick Farrence (Star Ocean: First Departure) vs Queen Zeal (Chrono Trigger)- Obvious enough.

Middle

Senel Coolidge (Tales of Legendia) vs Tifa Lockheart (Final Fantasy VII)- Throws will work quite well for damage avoidance.
Carol Anderson (Wild ARMs 5) vs Sceptile (Pokémon)-
Ganz Rothschild (Radiata Stories) vs Umaro (Final Fantasy VI)- Ganz is so slow.

Light

Millie Chliette (Star Ocean: First Departure)** vs Gwyn (Lunar: Eternal Blue Complete)- Gwyn is pretty bad.
Allen Ridgeley (Xenosaga: Also Sprach Zarathustra) vs Alfred Schroedinger (Wild ARMs 3)- Healing of some sort works.
Black Mage (Final Fantasy X-2) vs Black Mage (Final Fantasy)

Caineghis (Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn) vs Cidolfas Orlandu (Final Fantasy Tactics) - Goes first, kills?  At least that's my kneejerk.
Weissheit (Wild ARMs XF) vs Royce (Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete) - Not much Weisheit respect.
Arceus (Pokémon) vs Heat (Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga Series) - I'll buy that argument.
Persephone (Wild ARMs 5) vs Psaro (Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen)* - Screw you CK.

Heavy

Clarissa Arwin (Wild ARMs XF) vs Jenova (Final Fantasy VII) - Kneejerk.  I thought Jenova was statusable.
Levail (Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn) vs Guy (Fire Emblem: The Blazing Sword) - Probably.
Togekiss (Pokémon) vs Garan (Shadow Hearts: Covenant) - I... think...?

Middle

Senel Coolidge (Tales of Legendia) vs Tifa Lockheart (Final Fantasy VII) - Probably can chip?
Carol Anderson (Wild ARMs 5) vs Sceptile (Pokémon) - Didn't realize Sceptile was actually faster.
Shine Hausen (Super Robot Taisen Series) vs Valeria (Suikoden Series) - Don't think Valeria gets >50% hit rate on Shine on her first turn.  Think Shine can take it from there?

Light

Allen Ridgeley (Xenosaga: Also Sprach Zarathustra) vs Alfred Schroedinger (Wild ARMs 3) - Or was Allen worse than I thought?
Bottlemail (Phantom Brave) vs Maria Balthasar (Xenogears) - Probably outlasts.

Shine Hausen (Super Robot Taisen Series) vs Valeria (Suikoden Series) - Dodges the first shot, spams Alert from there.  I think 19 shots of Alert should give her plenty of time, even with her crappy damage.  Focus would work, too, I guess, but Alert's cheaper. >_>

Caineghis (Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn) vs Cidolfas Orlandu (Final Fantasy Tactics): My gut tells me that Caineghis gets Roar in before Cid kills with Crush Punch.
Weissheit (Wild ARMs XF) vs Royce (Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete): Can't vote.
Arceus (Pokémon) vs Heat (Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga Series): Kneejerk.
Persephone (Wild ARMs 5) vs Psaro (Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen): Can't vote.

Heavy

Clarissa Arwin (Wild ARMs XF) vs Jenova (Final Fantasy VII): Can't vote.
Roddick Farrence (Star Ocean: First Departure) vs Queen Zeal (Chrono Trigger): I've...only seen the original form, which gets murdered by Zeal, does that count?
Levail (Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn) vs Guy (Fire Emblem: The Blazing Sword): WTA and Guy has issues avoiding Resolve Phase, where everything kind of explodes in his face.
Togekiss (Pokémon) vs Garan (Shadow Hearts: Covenant): Garan nulled magic, right? Thereby killing all of Togekiss' remotely worthwhile offense?

Middle

Senel Coolidge (Tales of Legendia) vs Tifa Lockheart (Final Fantasy VII): Senel's from a Tales game, I'm confident he can chip really well! Doesn't help that Tifa's nonlimit damage is not threatening at all.
Carol Anderson (Wild ARMs 5) vs Sceptile (Pokémon): Faster, eventually gets a Crit on a double turn or something.
Shine Hausen (Super Robot Taisen Series) vs Valeria (Suikoden Series): Can't vote.
Ganz Rothschild (Radiata Stories) vs Umaro (Final Fantasy VI): Going with the guy whose not from a completely batshit insane game curve.

Light

Millie Chliette (Star Ocean: First Departure)** vs Gwyn (Lunar: Eternal Blue Complete): see Roddick.
Allen Ridgeley (Xenosaga: Also Sprach Zarathustra) vs Alfred Schroedinger (Wild ARMs 3): Allen had some form of healing, right? That > Alfred.
Black Mage (Final Fantasy X-2) vs Black Mage (Final Fantasy): I'm gonna kneejerk that the FFX-2 Black Mage sucks than the FF1 <_<
Bottlemail (Phantom Brave) vs Maria Balthasar (Xenogears): Can't vote.

Arceus (Pokémon) vs Heat (Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga Series): Equips lightning plate, goes first, takes off over half of Heat's HP. Now heat puts up his tentacles, and Arceus starts stalling with cosmic power + recover. What he's eventually going to do is start chipping away at the tentacles with Future Sight, which resolves at the end of the slower dueller's turn (Heat in this case.) Eventually, he'll get this turn order:

Future sight resolves, killing a tentacle
Doubleturn
Judgment the other tentacle
Judgment Heat, press turn
Judgment Heat, and this kills.

I don't see Heat killing before this, since his freeze status misses a lot and will barely damage through cosmic power, and the follow-up crits, while painful and buff-ignoring, still hit Arceus's great raw durability.

Black Mage (Final Fantasy X-2) vs Black Mage (Final Fantasy)

Clarissa Arwin (Wild ARMs XF) vs Jenova (Final Fantasy VII)- Jenova sucks, part XIV. A decent boss should stomp her, which Jenova isn't.

Middle

Ganz Rothschild (Radiata Stories) vs Umaro (Final Fantasy VI)- Probably sucks less.

Light

Allen Ridgeley (Xenosaga: Also Sprach Zarathustra) vs Alfred Schroedinger (Wild ARMs 3)- Slightly less puny.
Bottlemail (Phantom Brave) vs Maria Balthasar (Xenogears)- Isn't Maria.

Caineghis (Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn) vs Cidolfas Orlandu (Final Fantasy Tactics): Roar vs. Crush Punch, yeah. Roar is... turn 2? Yeah, doubt Cid can really handle the offence, and certainly isn't beating that pdur in a slugfest.
Weissheit (Wild ARMs XF) vs Royce (Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete): Weis has a 3-2 even after taking away his charge turns. And can survive two Shot Lancers, though I'm not... sure he even has to. 5.1x PC KO magic damage is probably too much for Royce.
Arceus (Pokémon) vs Heat (Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga Series): EDIT: Re-thinking it, Monkey's right. Just spam Cosmic Power and stay healed and even a Freeze blitz isn't accomplishing much. Judgement to open, Cosmic Power and Recover over and over from there. Sooner or later the Future Sight strategy will slip through.

Heavy

Clarissa Arwin (Wild ARMs XF) vs Jenova (Final Fantasy VII): "Jenova doesn't suck" vote. She's not vulnerable to Stop, the status I'd see most akin to Rob Turn.
Levail (Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn) vs Guy (Fire Emblem: The Blazing Sword): Physical melee vs. Levail just gets owned. In particular... Resolve shuts off a Guy double, and gets countered. 2HKO damage with psycho accuracy and a 42% Impale rate ensues, twice = dead Guy.
Togekiss (Pokémon) vs Garan (Shadow Hearts: Covenant): Magic tank with Hustle + Extremespeed physical beats with Wish to heal if need be > Garan.

Middle

Carol Anderson (Wild ARMs 5) vs Sceptile (Pokémon): Carol's unimpressive damage means she gets to meet Overgrowth, and the speed gives her strategy problems to boot.

Light

Allen Ridgeley (Xenosaga: Also Sprach Zarathustra) vs Alfred Schroedinger (Wild ARMs 3): Now if it were SHADY...
Black Mage (Final Fantasy X-2) vs Black Mage (Final Fantasy): X-2 Black Mage 4-3's average, and has a 4HKO. Which is a 3HKO against FF1 Black Mage... could even 2HKO. Either way, FF1 Black Mage does not kill anything with decent MDef in two turns.

Edited that whole argument away, but being ice type imparts freeze immunity in Pokemon. Unless for some reason Multitype doesn't apply that aspect of ice typedness.

Shine Hausen (Super Robot Taisen Series) vs Valeria (Suikoden Series) - Valeria's hit is just 17 points above average, and Falcon has a hit penalty. So, she... shouldn't get a hit on Shine first turn. Which is good, since Val OHKOs her otherwise by a healthy margin. Doubles can happen, but Shine has a lot of SP - thus, an Alert+Focus before a double should be enough, and hell, Shine has enough resources for 19 turns of Alert anyway, which is more than enough even with her horrible damage. Valeria isn't that tanky.

Light

Millie Chliette (Star Ocean: First Departure)** vs Gwyn (Lunar: Eternal Blue Complete) - So... much... more resources, I want to say.

Caineghis (Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn) vs Cidolfas Orlandu (Final Fantasy Tactics)
Weissheit (Wild ARMs XF) vs Royce (Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete)
Arceus (Pokémon) vs Heat (Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga Series)- I don't think hitting Heat with lightning imparts Press Turns (like, it was a 2x damage bonus but not a Weakness in DDS terms?  Weird), but Arceus feels tanky enough to use Monkey's basic strategy anyway.  Future Sight, useful?  Doesn't that just beat all.
Persephone (Wild ARMs 5) vs Psaro (Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen)*- Kneejerk.  Unless... like Persephone immunes Madante somehow.  even then, tanky and damaging and heals.

Heavy

Clarissa Arwin (Wild ARMs XF) vs Jenova (Final Fantasy VII)- D'oh, right, Jenova was the one boss with real status immunities.
Roddick Farrence (Star Ocean: First Departure) vs Queen Zeal (Chrono Trigger)
Levail (Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn) vs Guy (Fire Emblem: The Blazing Sword)
Togekiss (Pokémon) vs Garan (Shadow Hearts: Covenant)- Hum.  Since Garan wants to go physical here, Togekiss needs a burn a turn on Safe Guard and... he's actually not significantly faster.  I think that free hit gets Garan enough of a lead to kill before Wish goes off? *checks*  Every other turn, so Safeguard-> Garan-> Wish -> Garan -> Attack -> Garan -> Wish resolves.  Garan's got... 220 to a 460 average, 1.19x for Togekiss doesn't offset that 3HKO.  Hm.  Poison doesn't up Garan to a 2HKO, so 'kiss could blitz... blah, Extremespeed headache there.  He needs one double in there... wait, duh, extra turns just poison-kills.  Yeah, Garan by a nice and narrow little margin.

Middle

Senel Coolidge (Tales of Legendia) vs Tifa Lockheart (Final Fantasy VII)- Blech.  Didn't do full research for this match.  I remembered Senel having a solid 3HKO, which he does by the stat topic... except OK lists his normal combo.  Since that combo has knockdown, Senel tacks a throw in there, dragging him up to 8k damage and like 85% PCHP.  Even Tifa can't sneak in a limit against that.  Sorry, Senel's just not a Middle, my fuckup.  But hey, maybe someone'll spoil him!
Carol Anderson (Wild ARMs 5) vs Sceptile (Pokémon)- Oh yeah, Overgrowth.
Shine Hausen (Super Robot Taisen Series) vs Valeria (Suikoden Series)- Huh, Valeria is not nearly as tanky as I remembered.
Ganz Rothschild (Radiata Stories) vs Umaro (Final Fantasy VI)- Kneejerk.

Light

Millie Chliette (Star Ocean: First Departure)** vs Gwyn (Lunar: Eternal Blue Complete)
Allen Ridgeley (Xenosaga: Also Sprach Zarathustra) vs Alfred Schroedinger (Wild ARMs 3)
Black Mage (Final Fantasy X-2) vs Black Mage (Final Fantasy)
Bottlemail (Phantom Brave) vs Maria Balthasar (Xenogears)- Rolled for it.  Maria only gets to hit it once which ain't OHKOing (... probably), Maria surviving three turns felt like a coinflip.  Pity RICHARD HAWK doesn't vote.

Also, can someone explain to me how Carol is supposed to beat Sceptile? Because she's gotten a lot of quiet votes and I am just not seeing it. Carol has at best (I say at best because she badly wants you to factor medium stat boosts in so her speed is better, but this does drop her damage a bit) a low 3HKO, like "34% to average" low. 37% to Sceptile, granted. What does this mean? It means she's seeing Overgrowth every time she tries to kill Sceptile. Under Overgrowth, Sceptile's own draining is a low 2HKO, and heals some 26% of his HP. Quite frankly he can probably outrace Carol's draining until a 105-damage Overgrowth Leaf Blade will kill before she finally outraces this herself.

EDIT: Actually, never mind, it's even easier. Life Drain's OWN healing is so overrated (less than a third her HP? Huh, I thought it was much better for some reason), Sceptile beats it down without bothering with that drain nonsense.

Sceptile: Leaf Blade (Carol at 51)
Carol: Life Drain (Scep at 63, Carol at 79)
Sceptile: Leaf Blade (Carol at 30)
Carol: Life Drain (Scep at 26, Carol at 58)
Sceptile: Overgrow Leaf Blade (does 74% damage = dead Carol)

Note that Carol can not afford to trade a Life Drain for chipping, as without it Sceptile just kills her outright without needing Overgrowth.

This is without factoring in Sceptile's massively better speed or Agility, and the doubles either could create.

Not factoring in medium stat boosts does help Carol's HP a little but she gets doubled even more easily. Also, given that she's taking 116% damage overall... yeah that's still 110% even with the lower HP average.

Yeah.

Godlike

Caineghis (Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn) vs Cidolfas Orlandu (Final Fantasy Tactics)
Weissheit (Wild ARMs XF) vs Royce (Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete) - No WAXF.
Arceus (Pokémon) vs Heat (Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga Series) - I definitely buy Cosmic Power/Future Sight/Judgment/Recover set. Solid and doesn't afraid of anything.
Persephone (Wild ARMs 5) vs Psaro (Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen)* - Dunno. Nearing Psaro, but ehh.

Heavy

Clarissa Arwin (Wild ARMs XF) vs Jenova (Final Fantasy VII) - No WAXF
Roddick Farrence (Star Ocean: First Departure) vs Queen Zeal (Chrono Trigger)
Levail (Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn) vs Guy (Fire Emblem: The Blazing Sword)
Togekiss (Pokémon) vs Garan (Shadow Hearts: Covenant)

Middle

Senel Coolidge (Tales of Legendia) vs Tifa Lockheart (Final Fantasy VII)
Carol Anderson (Wild ARMs 5) vs Sceptile (Pokémon) - Uhuh.
Shine Hausen (Super Robot Taisen Series) vs Valeria (Suikoden Series)
Ganz Rothschild (Radiata Stories) vs Umaro (Final Fantasy VI) - Kneejerk.

Light

Millie Chliette (Star Ocean: First Departure)** vs Gwyn (Lunar: Eternal Blue Complete) - Uh.
Allen Ridgeley (Xenosaga: Also Sprach Zarathustra) vs Alfred Schroedinger (Wild ARMs 3)
Black Mage (Final Fantasy X-2) vs Black Mage (Final Fantasy) - ;_______;
Bottlemail (Phantom Brave) vs Maria Balthasar (Xenogears) - Too bad Bottlemail you're only battle-ready if you're twinked for it
19:35:58 (trancehime) there's a specific spot in the game that's for item duping
19:36:14 (Sanae) o.o
19:39:11 (Sanae) I'd love to dupe a second trancehime.

Caineghis (Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn) vs Cidolfas Orlandu (Final Fantasy Tactics)- Thinking Haste gives Orlandu the turns he needs

Heavy

Roddick Farrence (Star Ocean: First Departure) vs Queen Zeal (Chrono Trigger)-
Levail (Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn) vs Guy (Fire Emblem: The Blazing Sword)- dont remember who Levail was >_>
Togekiss (Pokémon) vs Garan (Shadow Hearts: Covenant)- need to look up what Togekiss gets....

Middle

Senel Coolidge (Tales of Legendia) vs Tifa Lockheart (Final Fantasy VII)- Senel, because Tifa fails.
Ganz Rothschild (Radiata Stories) vs Umaro (Final Fantasy VI)- Umaro, I think. Ganz wasnt that good.

Light

Millie Chliette (Star Ocean: First Departure)** vs Gwyn (Lunar: Eternal Blue Complete)- Millie, Gwyn is uber puny.
Black Mage (Final Fantasy X-2) vs Black Mage (Final Fantasy)- I think? BM for the first FF at least got status spells. I dont think FFX-2 gets the status, just damaging spells.

Caineghis (Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn) vs Cidolfas Orlandu (Final Fantasy Tactics): I can't bring myself to buy into Initiative SRW spirits, and so I can't in fairness give Laguz Royals the ability to transform on initiative, even if I rather want to.
Weissheit (Wild ARMs XF) vs Royce (Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete): Ends him in a shot or something.

Heavy

Clarissa Arwin (Wild ARMs XF) vs Jenova (Final Fantasy VII): I don't remember Jenova well enough for this but I'm assuming she wasn't vulnerable to status and she could tank a Sacrifice.
Levail (Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn) vs Guy (Fire Emblem: The Blazing Sword): Tanks a single non-crit hit. Thats all he HAS to do, as after that vicious rape happens.

Middle

Senel Coolidge (Tales of Legendia) vs Tifa Lockheart (Final Fantasy VII): Chipping, OHKO level damage...
Shine Hausen (Super Robot Taisen Series) vs Valeria (Suikoden Series): She dodges well enough for this, even if she isn't Lat.
Ganz Rothschild (Radiata Stories) vs Umaro (Final Fantasy VI): Physical tanking.

Light

Allen Ridgeley (Xenosaga: Also Sprach Zarathustra) vs Alfred Schroedinger (Wild ARMs 3): Yeah.
Black Mage (Final Fantasy X-2) vs Black Mage (Final Fantasy): Buuuurrrp. Echoing NEB on this.
Bottlemail (Phantom Brave) vs Maria Balthasar (Xenogears): Not Bottlemail.

Ends him in a shot or something.

It takes effectively 2712 physical damage to kill Weisheit. Royce doesn't quite OHKO normally, so the KO point would have to be 2800. Even using your method of PCHP which I find unfairly cruel to SRPG bosses (scale their HP compared to 2.5 * #PCs * average damage, punishing them for facing a SRPG party size but not giving SRPG support credit... it just flies in the face of the more conventional wisdom where slugger SRPG bosses like Izlude and Midboss are capable of getting wins in Middle and Heavy), that means you see average XF damage as 187. Using the numbers in your own stat topic, which, while they obviously don't have twinking, do have weaponry that is completely unreasonable to equip a full party with, this beats every PC and all but two generics. Among those it beats are Secutor (max atk)'s damage and Elementalist (max magic)'s damage, i.e. things that don't really improve with twinking. All it loses to is a gimmicky turn-2 attack which requires a mastered tier-4 class (and rather obscure knowledge, for all that we usually assume this), and an extremely expensive one-shot item typically hyped as curve-wrecking. I would hope you see something wrong with this.

(To further illustrate, L58 Alexia + Atk Up, i.e. the highest-Atk character in the highest-Atk class with the strongest weapon in the game barring the inaccurate axe... does 184 with Revolver Sweep. You can't really argue this is undertwinked in-game, or poor damage.)

Now, granted, the smaller SD you use probably costs Weis a 3-2, and since I doubt I'll argue you into considering him only 3HKOed, yeah, he's not killing with two Ranks of Death. So it doesn't matter for the result. But... come on.

Erwin Schrödinger will kill you like a cat in a box.
Maybe.

I would count Turn Shift and Accelerate and whatnot against boss HP instead of their speed, thus the kneejerk against boss durability. I think we've discussed this in regards to X-Death before too?

As for support credit, I tend to not give it much thought when the boss is an assassination target (exception: The second to last boss in FE10, but thats another story entirely)

And Royce doesn't OHKO average? I thought she did it by a decent margin before buffs. The more you know, I guess.
