I gotta ask, is there any way to stop all the bots from joining? It just bugs me everytime I look up at the top of the screen and noticed that our newest member is CheapViagraOnline. I know they don't post, but still! They're evil! If I want pornographic materials, treatment for E.D., or phallic size-enhancing drugs I'll google it myself, thank you very much.

The most you can really hope for is if our system admin is available, but he's been pretty busy these days :/

Set it so members with 0 posts can't post new topics.  That should slow them down a bit.

EDIT: Also, I wouldn't imagine it would be too hard to impliment a Captua (or however its spelled) to stop the bots from signing up for the boards, but hey who knows.

Just copied a list of the latest 30 members to join. I thought it might be fun to play the 'How obvious a bot is this' game... or 'Would anyone ACTUALLY pick this for a screen name?' game....

But nearly all the names are so bland... Can't we at least have interesting bots?

If more people played stuff like Hammer and Sickle or Silent Storm and posted a lot about it we might get Russian porn spam bots like the Codex had for a while.  So get playing bitches!

Actually, one of the recent ones had Russian porn sites...

I thought it was a real person so I looked at the profile, but no. It was pornbots again.

I'll see about importing the old anti-bot code from the original forums and see if that'll stop the registration.

Topic creation shouldn't be possible at this point unless you have another post somewhere else, at least.
