Doing Writeups in Word

Don't do it.

Word has the tendency to replace quotation marks with symbols not compatible with the site, so copying from Word into the forums directly causes problems when pasted to the site.  Please don't do this.  If you want to do Writeups on your computer, try using Notepad or OpenOffice, as either one of those do not cause this problem (as far as I know).  There may be other workarounds as well, but those are the ones that I know of.

I believe Word has an option to turn off "smart quotes" (I know the office software I use does), though yes, using a text editor is safer.
