What is Devil Survivor like? I was reading Wikipedia and it said a "tactical RPG".

I read a review of it and seems like Ogre Battle, sort of.
Don't think of it as a novel. Think of it as a chance to retroactively win every argument you have ever walked away from.

It's not like OB, I've played a little bit of it. SRPG where you man teams of PCs[one human and a few demons per unit], when you attack an enemy unit it cuts to a more normal RPG battle system for one turn.  Bit different from most modern megaten games, doesn't have press turns. There IS an extra turn mechanic, but I am not 100% sure how it works.

edit: Okay in that area is kind of similar, but the actual gameplay plays out pretty differently than OB or SN.

EF - Two incredibly crappy bosses after Saya of the lol borderline ohko with poison and sp poison attached+trade turns with suzuka speed, I get a hookerbot. Cleavage Buster is impressively damaging.

It is fun to hear her wail like this evertime she comes into a fight.

As for Devil Survivor, the battle system plays like Bahamut Lagoon. While the plot progression is more like a text game. You have a certain amoutn fo time you can use, you can select where you are going and each place take you certain time and events trigger base on where you go. And you need to get to the right place in the right time to prevent chaarcters dying from survival horror death.

The BL comparison is a bit more accurate, though I liked Devil Survivor more than what I played of BL if that's anything to go off of.

Lol @ the Earth is warm. Because of the lack of ingenuity in the Judgement Ring from older characters' moves, I decided to absolutely never use any ring status item, or heal any status-inducing ring ailments. That, and I don't recover SP. Yeah. My characters have gone crazy. Haha. Specifically Johnny. MAX Hits sorta fails, but when I do combos I focus much more on damage than hits. That said, it was on 034 Guanna, and a lesser amount around 500-HP was on the Chupacbra. I think this is the section in the menu of SH's that I've always fancied the most.

Done with 29.9% of the Library. Shop ring success 31/31 with no restarts. 79 saves (excessive much?), 11 rests, 0 Single input, 51 photos, average battle time 133.164 seconds.

MK- Chapter 9 Week 8. Game's just kinda coasting. Not that thats a bad thing, as the character interaction still makes the game enjoyable.

Natan's been good ever since I had him. Everyone else I'm experimenting with. With that said, he is quite hot. Especially his back. A man + a hot back = happiness for life. Especially glaring at him doing yardwork, sweating, puffing, lifting..heaving... stretching. . . . .

L4D- I'm at the point where Advanced with human players is a breeze (And likely with bots too?).

OB- Just got Princess Aisha. Yes, the game is not going to like that much! Too bad for it, I should have fun slaughtering them all.  Been a blast of a replay; just got an undead staff while fucking around with neutrals in pogrom forest .

GX: Darkness Ruins beaten, then thought I'd do the next 10 levels in Starry Corridor!

...then I realized the randoms were a pain in the fuck cause they keep tossing high defense freaks who basically require you to use Magic (oh, but they also resist half the elements too!), or build up SP just to do significant damage, so...I ended up doing only 5.

KH2: Beat Agrabah. Yay, Agrabah! Also cleared the first round of the underworld coloseum. Need to go level up my summons and Wisdom Form somewhere. Maybe Disney Castle? It's got a ton of grunt Heartless last I checked, good for murdering with Wisdom and for building up drive quicker..

EF - I can't get over how mindlessly fun this game is. Also, I can has Fishnet Stockings. That men can wear. And they give awesome stat boosts. Go figure.

Disney Castle no longer has any enemies, BUT Timeless River you can go to inside of the castle and the heartless there don't scale up IIRC and come in large packs. Best place to raise it.

Best place to raise Wisdom, actually, is the final dungeon.  The first area of it, the City, is swarming with Shadows all over the place, with like an infinite spawn.  I shouldn't have to explain why this is a good place to build it <_<

I know, not an option NOW, but shhh!

The FF9 Hatbot solo challenge is nearing its end! Just got past Pandemonium's opening and got my access to the Defender. Time to learn Steiner's best skill evar.

Reset total is now at 18. One death against Red Dragons in the last update, 2 deaths in Ipsen's Castle versus Doom Casting Veterans, 1 death reaching Bran Bal from Movers casting Delta Attack (...) and 1 death against Abadon in the Pandemonium opening when I was not properly equipped.

WAXF: So, I finally got around to putting Six Shooter on someone with an actual attack stat. Result: @.0 Kinda nerfed by high evade, but Debilitate usually makes that manageable.

Anyway, closing in on the end of the game. I was just halfway through 4-11 when the PSP froze up. Tried turning it off/on again. Alas, savestate did not take. Now I have to fight Charlton all over again. Dammit. Well, I beat the fight fair and square the first time, so I may as well just Turn Shift it into oblivion the second time.

Cross Edge: It goes. Up to fighting Etna and the Prinny Squad. Limit bosses are not amusing. Should be able to beat it with a little planning and the realization that Aurica's healing is not centered on her. Hur, hur.

Every boss in the game is a limit boss just because how the system works!  At least some decide to fight alone so they aren't that bad.

WAXF: Got to the end of 4-11, saw Black Corrosion, said "fuck" a whole lot. Couldn't even make it halfway across the battlefield before getting massacred, so I decided to just hang out by the entrance and let the zombies kill the boss. Which works, and is probably what you're actually supposed to do, but makes for quite a boring battle outside of getting to see karma in action.

Deliberately cheesed out Final Act 1 because, seriously, this fucktard again? Die already, you fucking cockroach, and get out of my game. You don't even give good CSP for your boss fights, so what good are you? Ugh. Took a stab at the final, but got annoyed at the teleportation gimmick and decided to come back with some better weapons and levels (I left a save before the Fear Chlysmian just in case it was a point of no return; it's not like killing that thing was tough the first time, so eh). A few people could stand to finish off the classes they've been working on too. That'll probably be a bit of a hassle given that world map randoms give pitiful rewards, but at least searching the final map points turns up a mess of Potential Eggs.

I would like to say that I had the same experience with 4-11, and the fucktard you speak of returning was one hell of an ass pull that was completely pointless, which could have just been explained by a simple "Just as planned!" moment from beyond the grave, and not have lost anything in the plot.
