This is the Telltale game. They release their stuff in monthly episodes, so it picks up where Launch of the Screaming Narwhal left off.

And, having played the first sequence of Siege, I can safely say that it is fucking awesome. Goddamn that was a good setpiece.

Rhapsody DS: Finished.

Game is pure fluff, but is good enough for what it is. Could have stood to have a lower random encounter rate. Also wasn't there supposed to be a pirate song? Well, regardless it was a decent enough excuse of a game, if very short. The final battles were a bit of a challenge on account of the support that bosses brought, but MT damage flows like beer at a frat party and once the status/damage slinging support was out of the picture the actual bosses got beat down hard.

Next up is... I'm not too sure yet. We'll see.

Thanks peeps.

Persona 4- Finished. The frue ending was as a frue as a frue ending should be. IOW I was sappy over the frue ending the most >_> I even cried for Izanami for peak's sake <_<

FRUE final went down to a combination of Yoshi (w/o his ultimate offence - so Heat Riser + Power Charge + Brave Blade abuse only and not even much of that since Souji was busy with stat downs =--() who was only L79 - and the normal stat down/MT stat ups from Souji and Yosuke/Teddie respectively, Naoto w/th Mind Charge/Megidolaon, Teddie healing and Yosuke/Teddie chipping in with wind/ice offence when they had a breather or I had Souji heal instead. Given my fascination with Naoto + Mind Charge though and it winding up that I couldn't be assed grinding Yoshi to L83 (I decided I just wanted to see the end of the story and things) Tal is probably right that Odin would've been a better choice.  However it turned out that I would've had to level Odin for Mind Charge anyway so I reset and got my Yoshi back >_> I wanted it to be more of a party effort than extreme fusion abuse though and with Souji more or less busy with stat downs and Naoto handling most of the offence it was ^_^

I give thanks to 1 X Soma~

Acquired 1x Blazblue. Tried all the characters out for a couple minutes, then played through arcade mode with Noel, V-13 and Kaokaka, all of whom seem pretty easy to use.

I am forced to ask: why do they give you points numbering in the billions (for single matches, even the easiest ones!) I suspect some mockery of scoring in general. It's just wacky.

No previous game DESERVED scores that high.  Blazblue is that good.

Phoenix Wright:

Very nice little game. The twists and turns are full of mystery cliches and tropes, but it is all played very well. The little touches like "Gatewater Hotel" and the other oddball naming conventions are made of love. So are the characters themselves. Well, that isn't fair to Maya. Maya transcends meager 'fun' and hits 'a walking talking human source of pure ear-to-ear smiling enjoyment".

Glad I played the game, and hope the next ones are as fun!

Street Fighter 4: Thought I might as well bring this up cause I haven't spoken in a while!

Anyway, bought this like right after DLC4, unlocked everyone, need to get off my ass and beat the game with Seth.

Having played more than like 10 minutes of the game now, I can say that it is just about everything you could hope for in a true SF2 sequel.  By "True SF2 Sequel" I mean "Take SF2, then modernize it" rather than "Take SF2, and add a bunch of crap and change shit" which is what SF3 did, so the game felt more like a spin off rather than a true successor.
SF4 goes back to SF2, brings back most of the cast, and a lot of the same functions, modernizes it, nicely balanced (if still not perfect), and adds in a few more aspects to make the gameplay more engaging (Ultras, EX Specials, and Focus Attacks.  Comparing this to SF2, bare in mind; I don't give a shit which of these were in SF3 or what not <_<)

Also, bringing back a bunch of SF2 battle themes and splicing them up to sound familiar, but new at the same time, was a nice nostalgic touch...

...actually, the whole game thrives on Nostalgia, since its basically SF2 with a few new factors, and a total face lift visually and what not.  This is not a bad thing; the game shows it knew what made SF2 so revolutionary, and expanded upon it logically.  Now if only I had more people to play against...

Phoenix Wright 2: Done.

Awesome game.  Case 4 was really enjoyable, and was something that actually succeeded in telling a good story instead of an inoffensive story that you only end up liking because of the execution.  May be better from a storyline standpoint than 1-5, though 1-5 certainly destroys it on a gameplay level.  (Sadly, PW2 doesn't have a case 5 tacked on to the DS release...).

Needless to say, I want more.  >_>  Time to bug my friend to lend me PW3!

Mr. Faaabulous is easily the most difficult fight in the game, in my opinion.

~

Blazblue: Started clearing story modes. Seems like at least half the cast is insane, incredibly stupid, or both. So yeah, it's an Aksys game. (Perhaps this is broadly applicable to fighting games in general? I dunno, I've not really played much outside of Street Fighter and Guilty Gear, but based on that much, I assume the genre thrives on flamboyant personalities.)

Messed around with some other characters. Probably find it easiest to use Jin so far, which is unfortunate since he's a total dick (so, he's Bizarro Ky in very way). Rachel worked out pretty well since the computer doesn't know how to deal with you playing keepaway, but I assume a human opponent would fail less. Using Carl was pretty disastrous (I must've gone through something like 25 continues on Hakumen/V-13 in arcade mode).

Hunh, really? It was kind of annoying, but I wouldn't say it was particularly hard... Hardest fight so far, without a doubt, has been Shadow Yukiko for me.

I'd expect people to say one of those two, yeah. Plot bosses afterwards...well, some of them take a while to chip down, but you have so much more in the way of options and resources that nothing can really match up to the first few shadow fights.

Poképlat - Fantina saved all of her fabulousness for Mismagius, it seems. That thing was 2HKOing/OHKOing everybody I had with Shadow Ball and I didn't think to bring Staravia to the table until it was already dead. Then, all her Haunter could do was horribly fail with Sucker Punch.

SF4 makes me cry. It's not like it's a bad game, it's just that Seth is very frustrating... like "63 tries to beat him with Crimson Viper so I can unlock my ****ing Cammy" frustrating. It doesn't help that I suck at fighting games.

Anyway, I've finished playing through the demos of the Summer of Arcade, and I feel like ranking the six of them.

6. 'Sposion Man: Basically Cloning Clyde 2.0. The explosion mechanic was interesting, but I can't see myself playing this one again.
5. Trials HD: Pretty good for what it is, just not my cup of tea.
4. Secret entry - I mad3 a gaem with z0mbies: Smash TV style gameplay with some interesting powerups, and it's only a dollar. Everyone with an Xbox should go buy this.
3. Turtles in Time: A remake of the best TMNT game ever. Yay.
2. Marvel vs. Capcom 2: I shouldn't be losing on easy, but I am. Still fun, lots of fighters, and nothing says fun like kicking butt with a team of Dan/Roll/AnotherDan.
1. Shadow Complex: Metroidvania with guns. That is all.

Also unlocked the Trainer's hangout in Platinum and got 21 wins in the Battle Arcade.
