Man, even CT is sassing Bardiche now? Thumbs up, girl.

MK2 - A new battle system mechanic introduced at C7 (Intimate D. Support? Wow, that's sorta neat)? And has a tutorial fight? It's probably a breeze, I guess it's a Flay class but how bad can a tutorial fight be anyw- *BOSS FIGHT WITH FIVE-TURN FOUR-VOLLEY TIMED CARDS OF 3HKO DAMAGE EACH AND TRIPLE-ACTING MADNESS+CURSE STATUS ATTACHED TO DAMAGE AND MT BORDERLINE 2HKO OWOWOWOWOWOWOW NO.*

I managed to eke past that with an A in the book, but goddamn where does Flay pick up those pets?

And I think he picked it up from Isolde. Didn't it look a heckuva lot like her mana? It even uses Baxim Bite.

So I hear that Shale will run from KH 358/2 Roxas. Why is this? Roxas seems pretty interesting so far. . . well, at the beginning since I haven't seen him since.

I know he picked the previous one from MMXCM and dressed it up as if it was cosplaying for a Flintstones episode, but past that? And hell, it has Baxim Bite? >_>

EDIT: Idun, it's NOMURA PLOT without Disney. I'm pretty sure Shale doesn't play KH for the touching shotacon yaoi between Orgy XIII losers.

No, the one he just fought was the Chimera look-a-like with a brownie riding on it.  Isolde's clone thing is a bounty head.

Oh, right. I fought those within a few minutes of each other yesterday, must have forgot which was plot and which was optional.

So, the things -ramp up-? Cool beans, MK2 difficulty is a thing I've been currently digging since somewhere in C5. Maybe it's just the HP boost in Hard Mode (or, more realistically, the fact that all the card-clearing skillsets were dumped on Ulrika, I would've KILLED for that on Boarpopressor and Chimera Brownie both), but these boss fights are a lot more tense than they could ever be in MK1, and it's pretty cool.

I was under the impression that, while Roxas Spinoff Game does have more NOMURRRAAAAAAA and less Disney than is normal for the series, they didn't exactly remove it entirely.  Oh well, we'll see in two weeks.  On the plus side, we can confirm that the PSP game has some entirely new Disney content.

Mana Khemia 2: Raze Path.  C3 I think?  Lily is screamingly wrong for Andy as an avatar in every way.

356/2 does have some Disney in it, but not enough to matter. Beast and Belle has something going, but that's about it. Hook is pointless and the Colosseum is just boring. Though Neverland's new theme is certainly nice.
Though everything got overshadowed by the ridiculous Roxas/Lea/Saix love triangle.

New entry on my list of reasons I love SRW: Alberto the Shockwave punching the Third Angel in the face.

Then you have more reason to play the DC version, just to see Alberto tears the Mass Produced EVAs into pieces.

What's wrong with Lily as an av for me? Just substitute Ash for Raze and you've got the right idea. <3

Finished BG2 and started ToB. Will make a lengthier post on the subject come later.

Up to Chapter 5 in MK2.

I am playing the DC version.

Edit: And I have to say, the RNG cheats like a motherfucker. I miss on four straight 75% chances and a 94%, while R-1 gets blown up on a 33% hit, followed by Getter Dragon biting it to two 20% shots? Fuck you, game.

GoC5- Rounding the home stretch on the Greckland campaign. In the Demon World, had to finally stop to level up a bit, as the enemy levels finally outpaced my ability to smash them with even the Valz/Lululala combo (The enemies were at 26 and I was at ~18-21). It would be fine if there weren't three armies all sending 3-5 generals at my base a turn. Can't even switch out defenders or reequip healing items. I should really terraform the base's panel, as they're all wind element enemies. That should make it much easier too.

GoC5- Well. That was easy. A few levels and the Valz/Lululala combo SMASH PUNY ENDGAME. Finished Greckland's scenario. Might do a Divine World playthrough before moving on, but moving on to finally playing FF1 seems to be in order. Using Zio and Xena was fun. Good to know Xeno's parents weren't huge douchebags like he was.

As for the game. It's a few steps forward and a massive leap back. Lots of little areas were improved upon from 4. Being able to customize your troops was good, but the game made a lot of them garbage instead of at least passable like in 4. Levels made it easier to keep track of the quality of units, but it also kept you from being able to hold the line with obviously inferior units like you used to if you knew what you were doing. The load times were much improved, even though GoC4 had very little anyway, but the lag in the battles was completely gone, so that was good.

However, the one thing that makes all these improvements for naught is the massive scaling back of the scope of the map. The game is made up of many small maps where small scale battles take place as opposed to one honking big one. It's seriously the difference between the strategic choices you have to make while taking over a city (this game) as opposed to an entire continent (GoC4). There was occasionally a well set up map, but I never felt threatened like I did in 4 because there's never as much going on or things to take into account. I think maybe once the 5 move limit mattered to me and even then there was very little threat involved. Basically, this is small scale, whereas GoC4 is Grand Strategy 101.

The point to point battles made the narrative flow better, but the story itself was pretty meh. Nowhere near as good as Dravania's or even some of the minor countries. It started out well but became very cookie cutter fantasy stuff. Oh well. I give the game a 6/10 at the moment, which may change depending on the other campaigns.
