MGS4 - Finished. Good ending.

FF4DS - Got past the bit where Cecil goes "WHHHHHHYYYYY!". He isn't like this throughout is he?

BvS - Anyone want a perfect hair? Everyone I've tried to trade it to either has 100 of them or doesn't want it for the simple fact its rubbish.

That's the only over dramatic line in the game...sad to say; its the best line in the entire game (mostly cause FF4 dialog isn't exactly what we call "good" <.< )

And regarding SRW3?

There's like 50 maps IIRC, so...uh, yeah >_>

SRWZ: Man, this is slow going. Just got to the big Rand/Setsuko pathsplit, meaning I cleared a grand total of one level yesterday, and that went quicker than I expected. Hell, I even finished with more time to spare than in my first playthrough (got Hitler with my last unit on the last player phase, instead of needing counterattacks to pull off the SR point).

Portal: Weighted Companion Cube for godlike. The backstage room in that level was awesometastic.

Alpha Gaiden stuff

That's a far better team, yeah. You might get more mileage out of the Neue Ziel with Quattro in it (and of the Qubeley with Amuro in it, but the Purus are fine, the Qubeley is very good), but that's something for another playthrough since you're like in endgame. Judau sorta sucks as a pilot in AG, indeed (you want him good, go for @2 instead), but hey. Also, as for a stat topic: you might want not to instead. I've done a SRW stat topic before, and that was rather painful even with the mechanics jotted down. <_< Without a clean understanding of a SRW's mechanics and formulas, you're pretty much setting yourself up for massive pain.

Also, if you didn't massively twink the Brygar, you have no soul. =(

Yeah, I'm trying to get Hard Mode on my next time around. I want Zengar in my team, damnit. Sengar, Zengar, w/e.

I'm happy enough I managed to unlock the G-Bit attack, the Qubeley and Jenice Kai El Custom. I -think- Caris's Vertigo doesn't normally come upgraded, but I'm not sure on that. Supposedly Hard Mode adds more story and I am very much interested in this more story++

Of course I twinked the Bry-Gar. All my suits are twinked thanks to Luck + Khamen Khamen = MASSIVE MONEY RAPE.
Of course I forgot I had to fight Sengar after that, but it was cool because Jamil and Usso could solo him.

Stat topicking would mean I'd have to first devise a useful system, then get all characters on par, -then- decide what they have plot claims to (which isn't too terribly hard, since some just outright suck), and ffffffffffff. It's not like it'll be Ranked ever anyway so it's cool.

When's the next PS(2) SRW getting translated? :D I totally want the next one with Gundam X now, because ohgodGarrodxTifaromanceffffff.

It's mainly the amount of work. Testing well over a hundred mechs individually is neverending work: if you ever want to have a topic, you -need- mechanics, period, at least if you want to take less than a year to get over with it. Not to mention devising effective durabilities, evade, figuring out ranks... SRW mechanics are rather dense, and the sheer amount of characters - many of them missable or mutually exclusive - makes things really obtuse -when you have formulas-, let alone without (I don't know AG's damage/accuracy mechanics myself). There's a reason I never tried an @3 stat topic despite having the mechanics handy.

But then, if you really want to try, be my guest. Character levels and stuff are the easiest to figure out, by the way. >_>

It took Snow about a month to do OG2's topic after Sage made the OG1 topic. Which, by the way, MAY AS WELL BE A BATTLE MECHANICS GUIDE. SRW stat topics are not for the weak of heart.

I'd like to know the mechanics even from a non-stat topic point of view.

I don't really feel like leveling up the likes of, say, Kou or KEITH to high-level just for stat topics, though, so eh. Like I said, not like you'll rank it anytime soon so it's not terribly important to me.

Which reminds me, I still need to come up with a way to effectively stat topic Guardian's Crusade. It's... almost impossible since Baby is a DNR solely because its stats raise depending on how you raise it, or if you don't raise it he'll automatically make Knight above-average in every single aspect.

That's fine, if you look at the SaGa Frontier topic, you'll notice that Monsters don't really get stat boosts that reflect in-game either, and they tend to be used in the SaGa average for damage... which makes all non-monster PCs look much better.

Except Guardian Crusade only has one real character, which is Knight, and the other is Baby, who is AI controlled. Is it really justifiable to base Knight's entire performance off Baby's stats?

Not like his stats are really important. He's probably below-average speed with above-average defenses, but his Toys are where his shine comes from.

... Whatever you do Baby is always, always insanely faster than Knight so I guess that kind of works out that way.

Of course it's not.

But it's a stat topic, and you have to make some weird justifications to get through stat topics sometimes. Look at the Parasite Eve stat topic, for example.

Just go for it, the stats will be recorded, and people can make their own judgments about how 'justified' it is from there.

The idea is to present the information as fully and fairly as possible. If you want, try figuring out what an 'average' Baby build would be and present two different averages.

Alpha. Apparently the PS2 games have been very resistant to attempts to hack in non-Japanese text, from what I've heard. Also they're immense.

Thanks Shale.

And right-o, Djinn. I'll start a new game with GC sometime tomorrow or something, and see if my Baby gets any different from the current one.

At the very core, I could see if I can determine what mechanic is used to determine the stat bonuses gotten from eating your equipment, and then listing what equipment I gave it to get 'core stats', but I doubt any self-respecting player would really bother getting through the game without feeding Baby anything.

Because, y'know, it's kind of integral to keep your one party member alive and strong.

Majin Tensei 3-

Peeks at Lucifer.... oookay, this needs really some preparation. That Physical reflect just makes everything twice as nasty. This mean I have to pull a slug fest now, and I need more healers and train a lot of back ups, as I don't think most of omy front liner can survive the triple cast Megidoraon.

AT 2:  Just hit phase 4, picked up what I assume to be the last front-line fighter.  Spending some time catching up on the crafting bits and...  well, I was already expecting the new foods to continue the tradition of looking like something out of a Lovecraft novel, but I wasn't expecting the Moe Bombs and the Dying-and-foaming-at-the-mouth Penguin bath toy.

As for the cosmosphere stuff, waiting on a plot trigger to proceed.  But, judging from the phase's title, the PCs may *finally* put two and two together and figure out what the players likely did five minutes into the game.

L4D-Been trying a few campaigns on Expert. It's been fun, but no success yet. Just got to keep on keepin' on I guess. Got Red Mist a few days ago, no big deal. 8 Achivements to go.

Zombie Genocide total: Over 40,000

Godhand-Got this in the mail today, fought Gold and Silver before stopping. The battle system seemed a little awkward at first but now it feels pretty nice and fun. I do wish you could adjust the camera more. Plot has been everything people have said. Also pretty tough(I'm playing on Normal), but I think I'm getting the hang of it.
Don't think of it as a novel. Think of it as a chance to retroactively win every argument you have ever walked away from.

Mana Khemia - Up to Chapter 8.  I have 4 free time slots this semester.  I have character quests with Muppy and the 4 females.  None of this is even remotely appealling.  Fail plot.  So anyway, picked Anna to do first.  FAIL TROPES AHOY.  Vayne and Anna fall down a hole.  OH MY GOD WHAT IF VAYNE RAPES ME I CAN'T GET MARRIED.  So she gets angry and makes no fucking sense.  Then they escape and she is sorry and angry again.  Fuck you game.
