Save point is in the infirmary or something?  I forget.  But yeah that is pretty much MMXCM in a nut shell Cid.  It is MEGAMAN PLOT stapled onto BoF 6, so it is alright.

I believe there's one if you go a bit upstairs or something.  Its in general proximity of the HQ, but its not in as obvious a place as you'd think.  But its there, trust me!

Yeah, I'd overlooked the room it was in (I'd wandered into the adjacent room, took a look at the door to the apparent save room, and said, "Nah, that just leads to the roof, it wouldn't be in there...")

Anyway, beat Epsilon. But what's this? The game's not over? Could our commanding officer have exploited us to get at the Rebellion's technology?! I've never been clear what exactly it is that the villains were rebelling against, really, but hey, MEGA MAN PLOT. It's not like the game cares either, since it spends about ten seconds on most cutscenes (in case there was any doubt, this is most assuredly a point in the game's favor).

Cleaning up missed items and stuff, ran into an optional boss: Rafflesian! Nasty, probably need a few more levels before I can beat it.

I think they were rebelling against the fact that reploids weren't allowed free will, that they had to do the bidding of humans (not that we ever see humans much in the MMverse). The same theme was touched on in MMX4. MEGA MAN PLOT applies, regardless.

You're supposed to move a unit to the mountain cycle to get what's in it. What is in the cycle changes depending on the difficulty.

Naruto Clash of Ninja Revolution 2, aka abbreviate this game's title please:

Bought this, busy unlocking stuff.  Luckily the requirements to unlock characters are pretty low.  Lots of characters, including several original ones.  Otherwise, still the same Clash of Ninja gameplay that Meeple has been hyping for years.  Targeting is still ass.

BvS:  Recode time.  Haven't looked at the new content yet.

PWI:  Stuff.  Level 27 or so now.

ToV-Guess I'm headed to the desert. First off, props to Yuri for getting the job done. You know what I'm talking about. Unfortunately, this being a jRPG, I have a sneaking suspicion that he's going to have to end up apologizing and having this big fuss about it, which is a shame. Anyway, story has otherwise been mediocre. Repede still owns. The randoms are pretty damn pathetic but the bosses have been putting up a pretty good fight.

Also, unskippable cutscenes. Fuck you, Namco.

L4D-No Mercy Expert Campaign complete. All that's left now is Blood Harvest! Which is, incidentally, the hardest one. Whooo boy.

So... what you're saying is that the ending is a mad scramble to retcon a bunch of shit, because Kojima got tired of making MGS games at MGS2?

That's pretty much what I got out of it, personally.

On the contrary, Kojima actually felt he didn't done enough and had to cram and cut stuff out to get MGS4 released on time. In other words, Kojima has long lost his mind and actually enjoy being ridiculous.

God Hand - This game is amazing.  Witty dialogue, good controls, and a pretty balanced and enjoyable system.  It's the most recent game made by Clover (anyone remember Okami?  Yeah)...  The game is Nintendo Hard, though, so I'm gonna have a LOT of fun trying to beat it.  It's not Kaizo Mario World bad, but...  Man is it hard.  I thought about doing the Kick Me Sign run straight off the bat, but...  No, I can't seem to do it.  Guess I'm gonna have to use the God Reels and the God Hand for now...  Or get really lucky fighting Mr. Gold and Mr. Silver.

I've once heard that this game could be considered harder than DMC on Dante Must Die mode.

BvS - Lost a lot of shiny big numbers.  Overall, though, looks pretty interesting.  The traditional Arena is gone in favor of more of an NWW system, bonuses are additive instead of multiplicative...  It's just a whole LOT of changes very fast.

In other news, I have two of my three characters with full runic sets, and the last one is only missing a Snake and Mantis.  This is especially insulting, since Wil has an extra of both.  My second character got a Matrix of Leadership, Doughman and Warriors all around, and...  Well, the game feels the same as ever, really.  Just less broken, and slightly less like a chore.

Disgaea 2 - I decided to pick this up again.  Not even done with world 3 and I got re-addicted to Item World.  Dropped due to God Hand addiction.

Perfect World - Heaven's Tear Server.  I'm a level...  29 Cleric?  Somewhere around there.  I'm really working on trying to get my crafting skills up, though.  Dropped due to God Hand addiction.

Brawl - Lucas.  I'm getting better with him.  God Hand will usually take priority, but if I'm bugged, I'll play a few matches, sometimes on Random.

Also, I bought Rez.  I haven't played it yet, though, due to my addiction to God Hand.

On the contrary, Kojima actually felt he didn't done enough and had to cram and cut stuff out to get MGS4 released on time. In other words, Kojima has long lost his mind and actually enjoy being ridiculous.

Quote from: Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw
Somebody once said that a politician is a person who can talk for hours and never really say anything.  If that's true, Hideo Kojima could run for government and be emperor of the universe by mid-afternoon.

Sorry about that, but it just seems so appropriate to me whenever any mention of MGS plot comes up anymore.

Chrono Trigger DS:  New areas are fine, considerably less annoying than some of the levels in the GBA FFs. New gear on the other hand seemed to be cute for the characters that actually needed a boost and I CAN HAZ MOAR OVERKILL? for the godly types.  The Arena is also slightly abusable if you keep resetting for tabs/gear.

Star Ocean 2nd Evolution: I forgot how long it takes before you can actually go out and do stuff at your leisure.  Going back and forth between Claude and Rena playthroughs probably doesn't help.  That said, I do like the skills/item creation cleanup and most of the voice acting has been good so far.

I think they were rebelling against the fact that reploids weren't allowed free will, that they had to do the bidding of humans (not that we ever see humans much in the MMverse). The same theme was touched on in MMX4. MEGA MAN PLOT applies, regardless.

I think Reploids had free will, its just they didn't like how they were always scape goats for this kind of shit (even though they're not, they just claim they are), and wanted to prove that they are equal/superior to humans and yeah.  Its nitpicking, but you get the jist; just another "Humans vs. Reploids" scenario and the Maverick Hunters are all "No! We have to be friends! FRIENDS!!!" until someone yells the inevitable "WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOR!!!!!" line.

Naturally, along the way, Zero has a 50% chance of dying, and should that happen, 100% chance of being alive.  This doesn't seem to carry over to the Mega Man Zero series, though...

Admittedly, MMZ took things in the opposite direction.  The Humans are the douches, and are trying to kill all Reploids, and the Reploids are trying to rebel for freedom in a positive way!

...yeah, MEGA MAN PLOT!!! best sums everything up.  Only Mega Man Star Force is (and Mega Man Legends from the sound of things, but never played) is immune to that statement, since the game seems to go out of its way to MOCK the plot of the other games by poking fun at itself and never really taking itself seriously (I mean, come on, when one of the villains goal is to "Kill all idiots"...and no, I don't mean she equates Humanity to being stupid, she actually just wants to kill anyone whose a fucking moron...)

Good fucking luck with that one trips.  Fucking goddamned corn field...

Corn field's not a problem. You can either run your ass off and make a stand in the farmhouse, or you can have 3 people back up against the cliff you jump off of and have another person trigger it. The main problem with Blood Harvest is going to be the finale, since it's the only one that doesn't have any way to glitch it out. Which means you have to handle two hordes, tons of special infected, and two tanks, which is going to be the main problem since people still don't know how to handle him.

I think the strategy I'm going to try when I go for the achivement is to have everyone camp out in one of the upstairs rooms during the Horde phases, then everyone heads outside the house when the tank comes so at the very least we have plenty of space to deal with the tank in. Probably just going to molotov his ass and then run like hell because trying to auto-shotty it to death always results in hilarious failure.
Don't think of it as a novel. Think of it as a chance to retroactively win every argument you have ever walked away from.

Really?  At least on Advanced Blood Harvest despite the lack of the Minigun is one of the easier ones to handle the tanks on I have always found.  Miniguns suck for tanks anyway since movement is your best bet.  We normally hand out in the kids bedroom upstairs in the house, just pile in.  Kill stuff as it comes (only one destructible wall if any).  Hear a tank, all jump out the window and then you have a massive open area to kite the tank around and a good obstacle (the entire house) to make him try and deal with.

Corn Field is just massively prone to friendly fire and the worst goddamned smokers...

Actually, MMX4's case, it is just the Hunters being dumbass while Reploforce is completly innoncent on all account.
As for MMCM, similiar case... Epsilon really didn't do anything wrong either, his action is somewhat fair within the legal/political boundary. It is more fo Redips making things sounds worse than it really is so he can send the Hunters in to do his bidding. After they find out everything is Redpis' lies, the claim on Epsilon being a Maverick got taken back.

Basically, the government in MMX world sucks, why are they still etting the Hunters running it anyway???

I thought part of the reason was that there were some over zealous freaks in Repliforce  I know Iris basically says when she dies "Can't we have a world with only reploids???" or some such; it was a term that "conveniently" left out humans.  Of course, no one remembers THAT cause Zero's line right after is infinitely more memorable <.<

I also seem to recall that Repliforce were a bunch of stubborn asses.  X/Zero both say to the Colonel "just drop your weapons and we can discuss this back at HQ" which is fair, since its just them trying to insure that they don't have something up their sleeve, but Colonel's all like "NO! We have too much pride and dignity to simply do such a thing!" and then I seem to recall General sort of declares war from there.

Its a misunderstanding, but Repliforce isn't entirely innocent in the affair.  I know, I'm arguing the logistics and philosophy behind MEGA MAN PLOT, but I think painting Repliforce as perfectly innocent is a touch too far since if Colonel just agreed to X/Zero's terms, they could have discussed things civilly, and the whole crisis would have been averted (...until Sigma comes up with some OTHER ridiculous scheme which ultimately leads in him getting his ass kicked by X/Zero again.)

(...as a side note, its nice they finally killed him off in MMX8 permanently <_<)

I don't think Iris' dream to have a Reploid only colony is a zealous dream. She is not killing any human to get her ways anyway.

And by same account, if you claim Repliforce is being too arrogant and prideful, then the Hunters are equally as guilty in accusing them of being Mavericks without sufficient evidence, which is what pissed General off.

I apologize to everyone for provoking discussion of MM plot. >.<

MMXCM: Chapter ten's dungeon looks like a point of no return, so I'm clearing out old dungeons first. Stomped the...duck...mole...thingy first, which was easy because I'd randomly given X and Zero ice weapons beforehand. Absolute Zero is fairly sick. Naturally, I immediately put it to good use and massacred Rafflesian. Good times.

Oh, cleared out the Eternal Forest, too. God, that was tedious. Shoulda just FAQed it to know which rooms were worth hitting, but noooo, I had to visit every one.
