Street Fighter 4: Mother fucker, basic combos should not be this hard. Either I'm a lot worse at this than I thought, I'm missing something obvious or my controller is disagreeing with me. All three are currently options.

If you are using a regular controller, it's probably that you are using a regular controller. That thing is a motherfuck to deal with.

Andrew has a PS3 controller, which automaticlly makes it 10x better than the 360 controller for fighters.  Unless I'm missing something from arcade sticks that makes you suddenly awesome at the game, it's mostly Andrew sucking. >_>

Wild Arms XF- Finished. 8/10 game. Good overall story and some good villains hampered by half the dialogue being cringe worthy. Labby is the star of the PC cast, Ragnar the LVP. The end with Felius is more forced than a break-in. I like that they never really referenced Clarissa and SPOILERS actually being switched and just leave it up to you to pick up on it.

The game's major problem was near the end it kept copypasta'ing battles hardcore. REALLY annoying. Game just needed to end.

Clarissa- Elementalist (Dandelion Shot, Enigmancer)- Double duty magic and Sacrifice whore.
Labrynitha- Elementalist (Arcanist)- Warp is a great skill to have in general. Move didn't really matter much for my strategy anyway.
SPOILER- Secutor (Royal Fencer, Strider)- Stuck into Secutor mainly for the ATK boost, but would rain death down with the Strider's Drop Kick skill, which is awesome for the often inclined areas of the final two acts.
Hunter- Grappler - Would go around, throwing everything he could into the kill zone of my mages, and everything else away from them. Leveled him in Secutor and Nightstalker for support skills before putting him back in Grappler. Would switch him to Nightstalker for the one or two battles you couldn't throw the boss.
Keith- High Cavalier (Sacred Slayer, Fantastica)- Super support PC. Did all stat buffs and healed. Yay Widespread.
Niniel- Gadgeteer (Sacred Slayer, Fantastica)- Other super support PC. Same as Keith, but would throw Exploder Gems when she had the chance. Yay IFF and Widespread.

Basic strategy was to keep everyone together and buff up while Hunter went out and chucked people into the kill zone. Pretty simple and effective and it's really surprising how often it would work, on pretty much everything. Also good for Weisheit battles where he would target other people, so Hunter would just chuck him away out of range and Weis would die before he even got a shot off. No idea why he never just targeted at Hunter...

Anyway, it's only the beginning where you're really limited in choices to break the game, but it still makes SCCs impossible. Once you get the last set of jobs though, no matter what is necessary for battle, you'll easily be set up for it with your normal build with maybe a tweak. So many ways to break the game, and mostly practical too.

Still, the ARRRRGH dialogue and meh VAing really hamper the enjoyment of the game.

We actually did pretty good the first time around, only had one gameover I think? Then we tried doing the airplane glitch for Untouchables but people kept fucking up the minigun jump and then quitting on us, and killing off Zoey didn't work either. Then we tried it again on No Mercy and Eph got hit by some random zombie. I have to be more aggressive with my pipe bomb in future attempts. Also maybe throwing a molotov outside the Jesus Room would've cleared things around us. Then we got utterly raped in Death Toll a few times, then people quit on us and I ended up being the last one alive during the Finale. I tried getting on the rocks but the asshole tank incapped me with concrete.

All the same Advanced is like a picnic through sunshine compared to Expert.
Don't think of it as a novel. Think of it as a chance to retroactively win every argument you have ever walked away from.

Kingdom Hearts: Atlantica. Goofy and Donald's underwater costumes WILL HAUNT MY NIGHTMARES FOR YEARS TO COME.

Wait until you see KH2 Lion King Sora before you talk about nightmares.

Nightmare? why? It is cute, and perfect for furry.

P4 - This game is pretty danged good. I don't like what they did with Analyze, but oh well. Lacy Unmentionables was good: two resets, but both happened due to me screwing up. Cute gimmicks, too.

Ryogo: For bosses, put your healer as the last slot of your team.  Then if everyone but the main dies, have him revive the second person on your team, they will get a turn, have them revive the third, then have that person revive your healer, and then use Mediarama or whatever.  Bam, fully recovered in one turn.  Really helps a lot.

PS: Carry lots of Revival Beads.

L4D With Trips: We died a lot. I swear the game hates me with special infected spawning.

Unless the PS3 version has significantly different controls, SF4 is very particular about motions. You can't do the same QCFx2 motion you've been doing for years, you have to make like... a 1/4 circle. It's kind of hard to explain. You release it back in to the center position or something, I guess is how I would put it.

A stick is much easier that way.

Eternal Sonata: 20 hours and going.  I've decided to not play anything else until I beat ES.

Just.. uh... be wary of the plot. It can cause spasms of rage. Especially towards the end.

I stopped taking the plot seriously after some dimensional rift opened up because some guy took mineral powder and became some really powerful monster.  I've gotten to the point where I only use Viola, Falsetto, and Jazz since they're more powerful than the rest of my party.

So it fails and forces you to buy a 40 dollar controller?

That's what I was waiting for to know about SF4.  Now I don't have to get it.

Problem was, I had to use the MC as my healer because he was the only one with Mediarama at the time. I did have Yukiko as my back up healer though, but she was a few levels away from the spell, and I HATE having to grind. Reviving everyone to only half HP wouldn't have been enough, since he would've killed them all with that damn spell after anyways.

Persona 4: Now in the Secret Base. Level 3 had some locked door that I needed an ID card for, so for now I'm proceeding deeper into the dungeon in hopes that I'll find it.

Nah, not gonna happen.  It's almost inconceivable that someone would leave their door key lying around, and completely ludicrous to think it'd be somewhere you could find it like, say, a treasure chest.  M@jor plot spoilarz: you never find the key, game over.
Rocky: you do know what an A-bomb is, right?
Bullwinkle: A-bomb is what some people call our show!
Rocky: I don't think that's very funny...
Bullwinkle: Neither do they, apparently!

Just to clarify, he's talking about Agility order, not the actual order of your team (which does nothing).  Revive the person who normally goes after the main (probably Yosuke), then they get a turn and revive the next person (probably Chie), then they revive slow-ass Yukiko and she heals.

Actually, he is talking about the order and not agility stats. For *boss fights* the order of turns is your team (in the order you set them up) then the boss. Repeat ad infinitum.

Yeah, party order is all that matters for boss fights.

Ryogo: Fair enough.  It doesn't work as well if you healer can't fully heal everyone from 50%, but it'll help later on.

Yeah, The funny thing is that before yesterday, I never realized that during boss fights the turn order was my party order XP

I maxed out Chie's and Yukiko's Social Links today too. And am dating both of them. Like that could happen in real life... >_>

Also, I found the key card. In a treasure chest of all places!

All I can say is... you'd be surprised at how realistic that is... Especially when you consider that Souji is portrayed as an attractive male.

If you are serious about competitive play, I guess. I personally don't mind so much except that sometimes I get all smug and spend too much time trying to chain my super combo and ultra combo together in one big string of screaming and punching.

The precision of the controls is probably quite nice if you're serious about it. Lets you do some crazy stuff.

I can do big fancy shit just fine on a 360's analog[not the DPad dear god] controller, but that was after adapting to using it on for SF2 HD Remix[which has much pickier input recognition]. Gen's little super combo into ultra combo shenanigans are too fun.
