Yeah, that's the main reason I'd be taking a run at it. I don't expect to beat all 50 fights as I am now, but I do expect to at least get the Genji Shield from Yuffie, and probably Blizzaga too.

First segment's pretty easy, since Behemoth is just not terribly threatening.  Also probably the only practical use of the Gravity-series spells (bosses have like 99.5% resistance to it (excepting the ones that outright immune them)... but Behemoth is a little less than that and has the raw HP to make it useful for a few castings, rip at least a bar and a half of life from it before needing more MP.)  I'd say keep trying until at least the third boss fight though, the Lionheart's one of the better overall keyblades (11 Attack, +1 MP)

Sam and Max Season 2 - Finished.
Chariots of the Dogs is much more like it. Easily comparable to Season 1 and far and away the best of the season. Still a number of missed opportunities but that's kind of Telltale's whole modus operandi by now so complaining about it isn't going to do much. Then Beelzebub which is kinda flat, sadly. I find myself wondering if there is going to be a third season.

Shining Force 2 - Just past a dark cave.
Fair amount of welcome interface improvements. Considerably decreased stat growth compared to 1 is also nice. Nothing to complain about really so far, although the whole making the viewpoint move slower than the character bugs me somewhat. Also hidden items (Mithril). To be fair this sort of thing might have been in 1 as well and I never noticed. That doesn't make it any less annoying, however.

7th Dragon: 573 dragons remain in Eden. Since I'm me, I'm grinding right now, trying to build up a Revenge-based Princess.

Lv7 Whip Mastery
Lv7 Break
Lv3 Punishment
Lv2 Request Alienation
Lv3 Fear Mastery

at the moment. Concentrating on raising Punishment and then eventually finish off Break / Whip Mastery.

I'll need to develop an Axe Fighter for Unbalancer, which synergizes the hell out of status.

Avalon Code:  Got the Ice Spirit.  Game is still awesome, although a couple of things annoy me.  It's very difficult to tell how much MP you have at any given time.  And they keep giving you recipes that you can't physically make yet (unless I'm missing something).

PWI:  Blademaster is level 44, Cleric level 32.

Persona 3: Almost beaten.  Got to within inches of offing the final boss, and then it decides to take me seriously, unleashes Night Queen + Almighty Blow, and...  yeah.  All of my party except for my main gone, and all attempts to recover failed miserably before I eventually got crushed.  Time taken for the attempt?  About an hour.

So...  yeah.  That was super exciting.  Though, at least now I have a better idea of how to plan for my next go.  Currently debating between something else of the Answer to follow up on the Journey with.

Although I don't normally advocate overlevelling and crushing the final like a bug the first time through a game, P3's final deserves this treatment more than most.

Yeah, you could've gotten to like level 90 in Monad with that hour you just lost.  P3's final is stupid like that.

The Answer is basically just hardcore P3 dungeon crawling without S.Links or a compendium.  Not something that's fun.

Tally-chu also did it, but for some reason the final didn't doubleact him.

I didn't use Armageddon either. Seriously, just an hour or so in Monad gives you an unholy amount of levels.

Yeah, but if you're going the overleveling route, you might as well acquire Boss Skip as well.

Come to think of it...

P4-I finished this earlier this week. Final boss did kill me once due to bad luck with status+Summons to Yomi on the MC, but the second time I was prepared and managed to kill her without much difficulty. The glasses toss that the MC does at the end was pretty awesome. The rest of the ending was a never-ending pile of sap, but I guess that makes sense since it's all about the Power of Friendship.

A lot of people have said that P4 is P3+, and for the most part I agree. The game just really feels better in pretty much every way. It's funny, interesting, the music is amazingly good (and P3 already had good music), the battle system changes were positive for the most part, and it's just overall better. The only real complaint I have is that Magaret is not nearly as awesome as Elizabeth, but ah well.

Great RPG, A+++, etc etc

L4D-Been playing some with Eph lately. I've done every campaign on Expert besides Blood Harvest at least twice, and started playing the new and improved Versus Mode. Being a tank is awesome again, hooray! The Smoker is somewhat better, but his damage output still sucks and he's entirely dependant on level geometry. The Hunter got his swipe nerfed but the added pouncing damage helps, a little. Any half-decent team will stick together and keep him useless though. Boomer's entirely the same but he didn't need changing anyway. The game still is easily stacked on the Survivor's side, what with:

1. Melee being incredibly broken
2. Healthkits every 3 feet
3. Cresendo Events are easily bottlenecked

And, of course, people still refuse to try to strategize together as the Infected.

The Darkness-Picked this up along with Mass Effect and Dead Rising at a Gamestop the other day. At first I didn't think much of it. Jackie moves like someone filled his shoes with concrete, the Darkness powers are weird and unintuitive, and enemies can take 3 shotgun shells to the face but three pistol shots and you're dead. Also you run out of ammo way fast.

Then I got used to things and some more abilities unlocked, and things are getting awesome. There's no reason not to have Darkness Shield on pretty much all the time, solving the bullet problem, and steal kills are easy and fun. Also the story has gotten ridiculous, starting out as just a standard mob war, then you get introduced to the Darkness, and now Jackie killed himself and I'm in hell fighting Nazi zombies with the help of the horribly mangled British.

Don't think of it as a novel. Think of it as a chance to retroactively win every argument you have ever walked away from.

No Monad/overleveling either.  Just the power of Junpei on Heal and Support AI.

Took me three tries, the first two times ended to Night Queen berserking the main.  One of the two times I ended up with the main and Mitsuru both having single digit HP and Aigis healed Mitsuru. -_-

I did some leveling in Monad but not as much as a lot of people, and my best Persona was Norn, so I still had to earn the win.

Yep. MC at level 76. Best Persona was Horus. Basically, the last portion of the fight was watching a 40 HP Minato fight off crits from Panic and slooooooowly make a comeback from what was basically "you are screwed".

PS: Night Queen is still stupid.

Eh, not going to try and over level just yet.  Though I think I have a method for opening Monad at least, now.  I did keep a save from a week before the final boss in case I felt I needed it, but yeah.  Gonna try and do this the right way.

Besides, I do have a nifty status blocker from an Abaddon drop.  Means I lose Auto-Endure, but I'm willing to take that chance to avoid losing turns.  He's a lot tougher than everyone else anyways.
