I'm in the fansub-watching business, not the translation stuff!

And I haven't seen an anime in ages. So there.

Are you... are you implying I'm a loser with bad hair?!

DQ3, don't really get why my Thief has the party's best MP... and why my Hero's become Worldly instead of Sexy.

;_; ... I... I lost my sexy appeal?

I'm also playing WA5... looking for treasures, I just beat Ragu Ragu thing into the ground. "I'M GOING TO GRIND YOU INTO THE GROUND." Okay Dean, I've heard that twenty times before in this fight...

It's not my fault that his intarwebs nickname is actually japanese derisive slang.

Translation: I hacked your copy of DQ3!  MuaHAHAHAHAHA!

In happier news, got VP:DS.  It is Valkyrie Profile if it was an SRPG and was about brutally crushing reality under your heel as opposed to chaining it to servitude to Odin.  Just beat the Prologue, and it is good stuff.

Bardiche: Equipment can change personality. Check that, is my main suggestion (usually it's an accessory).

Thieves get fuckawesome Speed/decent other stats. Hero's MP stat -will suck-, get used to it. Thief's... best non-spellcaster, IIRC, for MP.

Edit: Checked, make sure you don't have... something Tough Heart or something that sounds like that equipped (Vitality +10).

L4D-Cleared Blood Harvest and Death Toll with Eph. We totally got hosed on the finale of Blood Harvest. Exactly one gas tank, no molotovs, no pipe bombs, a tank before the rescue vehicle, etc. I died on the first tank, and Eph died on the second, but the dude we were playing with totally got saved by the AI and made it to the rescue vehicle. Barely. Good fun.

Clearing campaigns on Expert has become routine. I need another multiplayer game.

Assassin's Creed-Finished.

Game was decent. Basically the only real fun thing was the parkour and exploration factor, but what was there was good. The game was too repetitive, and a lot of design decisions seem only there to annoy (guards becoming alerted because you ran, beggars throwing rocks at you, those fucking Harasser fucks). Combat was simple and easy. I don't like how they forced you to take down huge mobs of enemies during the last stage, it was just sort of annoying. Did get me Eagle's Challenge though. 'Bosses' are as simple as 'knock down with counter, switch to Hidden Blade, stabby stabby". Story was decent, but the ending was so full of sequel hooks that it annoyed me.

Okay game, but not worth the hype and definitely not worth the full price tag. Glad I picked it up for 15 bucks. 6/10 or so

Mass Effect next I guess. Maybe this one will last me longer than 3 days.
Don't think of it as a novel. Think of it as a chance to retroactively win every argument you have ever walked away from.

LANfesta L4D - We were failing epically in Expert Blood Harvest and Death Toll. I didn't actually die very much, it was simply the problem was failure to communicate. The failure was hilarious, though. It was very fun to play and I hope I get to fail epically like that again. xD ("GET OUT OF MY WAY" "DUDE DON'T THROW THE MOLOTOV WHEN WE'RE STILL HERE" etc.)

Everyone's health seems to be full. Looks like I'm doing my job right. ;)

SaGa Frontier: Yeah, I'm just bouncing around with different games this week. Finished Red's chapter -finally-. It was pretty cool. I was kind of surprised by the large chain of bosses there, though. Still, the 'action-packed' trailer for Red's next big movie made me wish there was more of his chapter to play.

Started and finished Riki's chapter. Great set-up, a morbid setting of a homeworld on the brink of destruction that can only be saved by gathering the MacGuffins... And it stars a cute monster-kid! It really had a Lord of the Rings flavor to it, which was cool, only Sam was a hot Asian chick with purple hair instead of a Hobbit gardener.  ...AND it turns out that she's the villain who's been mastermind-ing the whole adventure to collect the rings for herself! Fun stuff, pretty satisfying in a cheesy sort of way.
...and then the ending takes all of that away. Not only does it turn out that Mei-Ling's possessor can be foiled by a simple beating, leaving Mei-Ling unharmed, but the Lummoxes decide that they don't even want their homeworld after all - they'll just move to another dimension! And to top it all off, Riki returns the uber-powerful Rings to all the horrible people he stole them from (Except the Ring Lord for some reason!?). It pretty much invalidated my whole time spent questing, which didn't sit well with me.
Well, at least Riki got to be a Black Dragon and that's awesome. Also, it was my first time getting Kylin - Candyland is cool. I love the backgrounds in this game.

Started and finished Emelia's chapter, too. Was severely underpowered the whole time because I didn't do -any- sidequesting except for the few I started just long enough to pick up better characters. The opening of Emelia's chapter has been one of my favorite so far. She's in prison and Annie's constantly hitting on her... I can't complain. SaGa Frontier is lesbian-friendly.
The "Working for Gradius" thing was kind of cool in a Charlie's Angels sort of way... only the organization spends way too much time drugging its own members and selling them into slavery, of course.
Only chapter where you can permanently recruit WhiteRose! Asellus and Zozma also a plus!
WTF is Cube?
Ending is really trainwreck-y though, the unfinished loose ends of the game really show here. What the hell is with the Shiva thing that attacks us at the end during Emelia's therapy wedding ceremony?!
I should look up what the bad ending for her chapter is like, the good ending is lame.

Next... T260G! I'll probably skip most of the sidequests again if I can. (Especially considering Robots can't learn magic...)

Bah everybody else wants to be rogues now *changes mind* ;) Oh well, can I be a Healer please?

Eternal Sonata- Started this yesterday. I'm immensely enjoying it for the most part so far. The overall graphics are pleasing, the characters are nice to look at and likeable enough (Polka is adorable), the story is decent enough so far not really offensive or anything at least and the battle system is just great. I'm really digging this style. Just met March and saved in her village. Ventured forward to take a nosy at the next boss and got reamed. Need to buy more items from the money I received from selling Beat's pictures, oh and remember to actually set them too. I had that problem with the last boss, kept on forgetting to set items/wasted too much time trying to get good pictures with Beat. Yeah I lost to the Baby Dragon a few times <_< Still it was worth it. Boss pictures apparently sell for a lot : D Speaking of Beat his range/Rapid Shooter means he's been extremely awesme so far pretty much. Same with Polka to a lesser extent, with Shade Comet. Sky Divider is insane damage from Retto off 32 Echo. Frederic/Chopin is ... meh, decent enough. He just wins anyway though because of the hat >_> So yeah by this point I've already met Lezard, an apparent villian character hopefully I'll get to beat his ass up proper next time. Why do Retto, Polka and Beat
remind me of Fayt, Sophia and Roger though <_<

Blue Dragon- Liked it from the few minutes I actually managed to play. Blue Dragon does not like my Xbox or v-verca. Looks like a lot of fun too.

Oh, don't worry - the plot gets worse as time goes on.  You might want to smoke some weed before the end sequences.  Makes the game more logical.

If ES had been just Chopin history lessons it would be brilliant.  Girl I am going to have to sit you down one day and explain to you what good story telling and bad story telling is (by sit down and explain I mean you read Candide and play Planescape: Torment until you understand).

If your Blue Dragon copy is skipping in FMVs or something just take the disc back now CT and get a new copy, I had one that did the same thing, didn't look terribly beat up, just skipped like a bitch and crashed out.  new copy was fine.

Oh I'm not saying I didn't like it, just that it was weird/kind of surreal how it happened. Beats having to pay for history lessons anyway. I like history~

Weird and surreal is what would make it good.  Beats the hell out of I SNORT METAL AND IT HURTS MY BRAIN plot and shallow as hell anti-capitalist messages that are just plain poorly made strawman arguments.  The reason ES is horrible is because it is a game that is about the Fever dreams of one of the greatest composers to have lived as he is on his death bed from Tuberculosis.  Except for you know, the game has nothing to do with that and is just generically bad RPG plot, with Chopin's name on it!  It has potential and a central idea that can not possibly fail to make a masterpiece, unless you do not in fact even use the central idea for anything at all ever, which is exactly what they did.

It is like someone pitched this really cool outlandish idea, someone has gone YES LETS DO IT and then fired whoever had the idea 2 minutes later.

FF6a- Beat Kefka. He was about as good (awful) as always, with the extra bonus of having turn lag thanks to the port! Had a lot of fun with the replay, going to tackle Dragon Den soon as I beat up Kefka again. Going to test the fight again to make sure it's port lag and I didn't just get lucky, and to swipe a Rangarok.

Edit: He acted more normally that time. I had Edgar in the air the first time I fought him, maybe that was part of it?

Avalon Code:  There are parts of this game that are 10/10.  There are parts that are 1/10.  This will be an epic rant.

VPDS:  Chapter 2.  Game is still nifty so far.

Suikoden DS:  Haven't started yet, but the soundtrack that came with it is outstanding.

Etrian Odyssey 2: Doing quests. Up to the Scylla fight but stalling on that while I level my Dark Hunter and Troubadour for no real reason. Gunners are hax, Ronins are mini-hax, Protectors are defense-hax, Hexers are first-three-strata-hax. Weak link in my team is my War Magus and he's pretty good, but I'm considering swapping him out and setting up a Combat Medic instead. Only loss here is the infinite TP works.

Artelind and Wilhelm for Low Heavy and Heavy, respectively. Needed to be able to fight them again.

Stalkers for "oh shit I forgot they were there" FOE.

Darksoars for most annoying FOE thus far. Icefiends are close behind, followed by Trigourds.
