Rogue Galaxy - Vacation
Went through the newly opened area on Juraika. Apparently the game agreed with my choice of it for first as the new enemies were all on the consecutively next pages from where I was up to.
For a place which the Burkaquans are supposedly forbidden from going, there certainly were a few of them in there -_- Rosa pulled sort of the same thing earlier with the new area there, but at least they weren't forbidden from entering it, they just nattered on about how dangerous it was and how no-one should go there (including several of the people within the area). Anyway, there were too many enemies where jumping was required, be it jumping on them or just jumping so as to attack their vulnerable upper halves instead of their invulnerable lower, so it wasn't strictly my cup of tea. Why exactly does it seem like magic has no effect on the tall ones anyway?
Nice surprise waiting at the end of the castle; activating all the the transporters on a planet fills in any unopened chests on the planet on your map. Unfortunately, or not depending on how you look at it, the only chests I hadn't opened on Juraika were a couple in the castle (which was a pain to explore) and one in an earlier location with a Sun Lock I can't open yet. I now find myself wondering whether opening all the chests on a planet does anything for you.
Speaking of random playerfriendliness, I have been seeing people on 1 hit point an inordinately high amount of the time compared to other low hit point amounts, which leads me to wonder whether the game is set up to stop you at 1 hit point and then kill you on the next hit. That's pretty awesome for them to have included that as an inherent mechanic if so.
Lost my first fight against the boss of that area due to lightning hax and all three party members being in close proximity. That was ensured to not happen again the next time.
Subsequently went back to see MIO as I had filled out sufficient of the Froglog for it to be considered complete so as to see if this did anything for me. It got Zegram a new outfit, which is a decent enough prize I suppose. Then went off to the Rose Nebula for the major bounty on Hammerhead, who turned out to be a cakewalk, which was enough points to get to Hunter Rank 10. Enheartened by that bounty's easiness compared to Paul the Ripper, went back to Juraika for Beast Leone's bounty. That was a much better battle. Once its crystal shattered and allowed the entirity of its body to be attacked it went pretty smoothly, and it was nothing like Paul-level, but far and beyond Hammerhead. It also gave off a ludicrous amount of points which kicked me straight up to Hunter Rank 8.
Currently I have gone over to the newly available Water Planet where things seem to be Going Down. My current intentions are to resolve the problems here before continuing on to Zerard to get the Triforce of Scales.
