Street Fighter 4: Thought I might as well bring this up cause I haven't spoken in a while!
Anyway, bought this like right after DLC4, unlocked everyone, need to get off my ass and beat the game with Seth.
Having played more than like 10 minutes of the game now, I can say that it is just about everything you could hope for in a true SF2 sequel. By "True SF2 Sequel" I mean "Take SF2, then modernize it" rather than "Take SF2, and add a bunch of crap and change shit" which is what SF3 did, so the game felt more like a spin off rather than a true successor.
SF4 goes back to SF2, brings back most of the cast, and a lot of the same functions, modernizes it, nicely balanced (if still not perfect), and adds in a few more aspects to make the gameplay more engaging (Ultras, EX Specials, and Focus Attacks. Comparing this to SF2, bare in mind; I don't give a shit which of these were in SF3 or what not <_<)
Also, bringing back a bunch of SF2 battle themes and splicing them up to sound familiar, but new at the same time, was a nice nostalgic touch...
...actually, the whole game thrives on Nostalgia, since its basically SF2 with a few new factors, and a total face lift visually and what not. This is not a bad thing; the game shows it knew what made SF2 so revolutionary, and expanded upon it logically. Now if only I had more people to play against...
