You're asking too much out of GRANDIA 3 WRITING. These reports are pretty cool to read, as always, by the way.

It's just fun to have these uberdetailed reports on little perps that I didn't even give a second glance in my playthrough, since it tended to blur into "ohgodkilleverythingbeforeitkillsme". Those challenges tend to re-emphasize the randoms rather fiercely, and knowing in detail what can they do and how is just neat for analytical purposes.

Wonder how far can one go on G3 challenges. Male-only playthrough wouldn't be too different in concept from female-only, although I'm sure it'd be a fair deal harder due to how the males are far less apt at magic than the girls.

So, knocked out the post-game dungeon and 200-man melee in ToV. Jesus christ, the Fel Arms are ridiculous in this game.

I wonder how a good old fashioned skip-as-many-randoms-as-possible LLG would go, where you can use everyone?

Psi is probably a bluelike in the DL. Pluto Killer keeps even the speediest godlikes on their heels, you can't spoil it with evade or melee immunity, and who with outright physical immunity can deal with those spells off of better speed than Belial and decent HP?

Dunno how different it would be, given how bosses give a lot of XP and level growth in G3 is sorta slow. However... skills. At the very least, the emphasis on magic would be even bigger since you'd have more problems learning skills and gaining skill levels, and you'd have to make do with lower-level magic and less skillset slots. That'd be pretty neat, actually.

Alfina dodges this well since if she counters, she'll teleport out of it.

SaGa 2 Hihou Densetsu - Goddess of Destiny

Right now, I'm trying to get my stats up to scratch. Once again the ever-reliable Terence enlightens me as to why my growths have suddenly tanked until now. DS levels seem to increase your chances of gaining stats, however, the higher your stat is, that DS level is decreased as to tank your chances. And chaining encounters seems to give bonuses, I should abuse this more in a later run.

I'm really loving having 2 instances of P-Blast on one Mutant. I'm still in the Final World and will go into Final Dungeon to get the XCalibr soon enough. That will be going on Kylaine, who has the Strength of a thousand men >_>

WA:XF: Started this a couple days ago. It's going pretty well so far, some pretty challenging puzzley battles but nothing too hard. I've had.. one reset on 1-2 where you have to hit the switch mostly because I was trying to kill things instead of fulfilling the condition :p, two resets on 1-4a where you have to hide from guards, one on the rush to the exit battle (1-7?) because Labby is slow and Secutors are faster. :( Double-turned on the very last round is lame.

1-8 is probably my favorite battle so far, it was delightful trying to keep Levin alive and such. 1-4b was also fun, having to keep the old people alive~

1-6 is stupid and lame and designed solely to annoy the player by making the battle as slow and excruciating as humanly possible. It's really not a hard battle, especially if you aren't a fool and you get your PCs away from the Elementalists at the top (unfortunately, I am a fool) but waiting for my Elementalists to slog through the swamp is just RAGE. Whoever designed this level needs to have their private parts smashed in a vice.

Yukiko...really only gets healing stuff, along with the fire damage.  She gets the healing stuff earlier than Teddie!  Mediarama comes...level 30-ish?  Teddie's the one that support stuff (Maraku- and Matarukaja).  Though, Yukiko does get Salvation, which is better than Teddie's separate Amrita + Mediarahan.

It's odd, that the guys are the ones that get the real support stuff (outside of Chie getting TARUKAJA...Kanji and Teddie both get Matarukaja).  To make up for that, the girls are the best healer with the best offense (Yukiko), best physical fighter (Chie), and ID-whore+Almighty damage (Naoto).

Get 4 Amber Seema from fishing. Trade to old man in July. Get Blessed Hand.

It gives you a 50% healing boost, and really helped against the middle of the game.

It's also in rare chests at the Striptease and Void Quest, though if you're on Void Quest you won't need it for very long after.

Megaman Starforce 3: yay Starhoop!  Now relying on the buster to win some fights is a lot less painful!

...seriously, while its doing only 2 damage instead of 1 (20 instead of 10 on a charge shot), the impact is significant.  Yes, its a 200% increase, so its killing things in half the time as a result, but in general, it builds up considering how fast you fire the Buster (and this is only level 2 speed!)  Also, slightly faster buster charging!

Also, beat Diamond Ice.

Initial reaction to the fight: OH GOD SHIELD GIMMICK! NO! GO AWAY MMBN STYLE BOSS I DON'T LIKE YOU!!!

After the fight ends: Huh, that wasn't that bad...maybe cause she didn't abuse the crap out of her Shield gimmick and it was more a mild nuisance than the actual crutch of the fight!

Leave it to Megaman Starforces to be intelligent about gimmicks, and make it more an extra factor to consider rather than "Learn how to deal with this or die!  Oh yeah, this gimmick also screws with your ability to do REAL DAMAGE!" like MMBNs did (at least, MMBN1-3; I've heard MMBN4-6 are better, and perhaps they finally got intelligent with THOSE games, which explains why MMSFs are generally intelligent about this stuff!)

Also, it didn't take them long to reintroduce Taurus Fire...I mean, I KNEW he was in there; he's basically the equivalent of Gutsman.exe.  But Taurus himself appearing (as in, the F-Mian) and now apparently going to become a regular like Lyra...well, if anything, the EM Bodies have been the most amusing characters in this game so <.<

Lastly, geez, no wonder Sonia's such a huge teen idol in her world!  Not only can she sing, act and play instruments, she can do an entire song, with multiple instruments playing, single handedly...USING ONLY A LUTE.  Bad ass <_<

Actually Blanka's ultra is pretty good, it's just odd. It hits both high and low at different intervals, and in nonsensical ways.

The problem is that when it hits someone within arm's reach that's more than a few pixels in front of Blanka, one hit lands, for maybe ne and a half times the damage of a normal roll, and then the rest of the attack whiffs as they go flying away. It's possible to land the whole thing, it just relies on an enemy staying in my face for two seconds while I charge back or hanging back in range of the horizontal part of the attack but being asleep or blind or something so they don't jump it.

From the fights I've seen, the super -does- look pretty difficult to use, but it was scary as fuck. I have no idea what the fact that those people make it look dangerous does say.

TotA - Yeah.  I managed to get a Last Fencer for Luke, a Full Metal Fang for Natalia, and a Penetrator for Jade.  I'm legally obligated to blitz through the first half of the game, or should I sod off and make what would represent even more broken stuff for the time being?  Decisions, decisions...

In any case, having those three weapons before Zao Ruins made Sync and Largo multiple times wimpier than usual.

Jet Force Gemini: Took a break from fighting Lupus' boss and got to Mizar's Palace as Vela, while Juno got through Tawfret, then got stuck against Juno's first boss, so decided to go back to Lupus. After 13 tries overall, finally beat those damn mantis things and cleared creepy snake world. Now, I'm at Mizar's Palace, stuck on the most ridiculous section - I've been given Night-Vision Goggles and a huge circular passage. The circular passage has two exits - one's the entrance, the other leads to the top of a cliff area. Except the cliff area requires me to hover to the main land section, and it's just out of full reach of hover. Meaning I can run in circles for half an hour, or I can try hovering to the land and fall to my death. Yay. >.>

Yeah, been enjoying reading them despite not having played it (yet).

Also!

WA:XF - Act 2-1 as was mentioned before, but I forgot to mention something.

... Weisheit acts like that for the rest of the game? (Also, Felius backstory involves Weisheit, not a good sign)
