Oh, right, one other game.

Gemcraft Ch. 0: Tower defense game. Pretty challenging, but... well, on Swarm/Carapace maps at least (haven't tried it elsewhere), there's a nasty technique once you've got enough levels for it.

Max Forge/Replenish/Focus (easier gem creation. Kinda a given)
Max Poison/Mana Gain Gem (increases effect of these two, gives you starting gems of these types. Very important)
Max Traplayer (cheaper trap creation.)

From here, experiment: I'm currently running Recharge/Trap Specials/Flexible Mana Pool/Armor. Set up the road leading to your camp with as many level 2-3 mana gain gems and level 3-4 poison gems as possible - put 4 mana gain between each poison.

It's simple, but astoundingly effective; gotten multiple high-level badges with ease this way, just because the sheer mana accumulation adds up very, very fast, and the Poison/Armor combo keeps them running the loop and slowly dying off (which keeps them manageable).

Suikoden Teirkries(or however you spell that) - Beat. Final team was Hotupa, Diadora and Fredegund. The former two for having a great random smashing MT Unite attack and the latter for having True Falcon. Sure Morgent and Chrodechild have it too, but eh. I like Fredegund. The One King was actually something resembling competent, which was a first for this game's bosses. I think it and S5 could get into slap fights on difficulty, which is kinda sad.

Still, I did really enjoy the game. And it's left me craving a proper Suikoden 6.

The mine was wasn't horrid at least? (Just because MT damage when you have no MT healing, and solid resistances that meant that Melt Attack had a use for one whole battle!).

Hellsinker: So yeah, Sage and Alex got me into this.  Needless to say, it's -hard-.  I usually have to continue by Stage 4, and then get killed again by the Stage 5 boss (and...can't seem to kill more than two of the Shrine of Farewell bosses).  Fun game, though.  Especially the music.  Oh dear god the music.

Arad Senki: It's been a long time since I learned how freaking ANNOYING those damn airship thingies and the boss are in Silver Night. Soloing that shit is not healthy when they spit out GBL zealots that pester you and you are a squishy close-range glass cannon. Aura Shield just isn't enough to mitigate damage. I need to party more often.

Wizardry: Inochi no Kusabi: I find it interesting that PCs are thrown at you instantly and you're stuck with them up to a certain point, I don't think I've reached this point yet but the battle system so far is standard-fare Wizardry. The art and character direction is surprisingly clean and nice. One thing bugs me though - the one who did the art is really familiar, but I forgot their name, or any of their other works...

Also, someone remind me to pick up that Strike Witches DS game.

FE7: Completed for like the 15th+ time? Afa drops on Hector, watched him gain even more stats like crazy. Also ended up burning a Fell Contract and bringing Matthew along in the Value of Life and then actually getting him to 20/20 by the time the game ended. Anyway, units used:

Hector: Awesome. He had speed growth! And like 3 points of RES the entire way through. Not that this mattered because he was killing shit even more than usual. capped speed at level 20/14 or something though - surprisingly late. Not that it mattered much since he spent much of the game with a large AS lead. A Eliwood Support made him further more fun to use. Too bad he reached level 20 by Chapter 20 and I couldn't use him for a while :/. Still made an awesome roadblock though.

Eliwood: Never stopped gaining +4 stats until level 20/10 or so. Capped speed at level 20/3. S ranked spears because Durandal is a pretty bad PRF weapon. A support Hector...yeah. He was one of my most awesome units and I was sad that I actually had to bench him early :(. Rex Hasta Eliwood is actually pretty damn awesome.

Lyn: Typical Lyn. Lacked strength shortly after promotion (she didn't get a single point for like 7 levels straight), but started picking up afterwards. A Florina really helps out during Strength droughts. Promoted her first, because I have no idea why. Was not as awesome as Eliwood because Eliwood was on ridiculous crack.

Oswin: Was pretty average, which meant he still owned 90% of the enemies and around the same percentage of PCs

Matthew: Promoted him after I lost the 5th star in Funds since it didn't drop my funds rank. Worked out pretty good since he got some decent growths in. Capped strength, decent luck. Assassins are still a crap class and I question whether Snipers are truly the worst promoted class in FE7 because Assassins come pretty damn close.

Serra: Pretty average Serra. Had a massive HP blessing though. Like +7-8 more points more. OMG tank.

Raven: Average Raven. Like Oswin, still owned 90%+ of enemies and PCs

Priscilla: Weird growths. I was going to bench her early on since she stopped gaining speed for like 5 levels. Then she got speed 5 levels in a row...and then stopped gaining speed for some time again. Turned out slightly above average I think. But yeah, fluctuated the most. Got more stable once she promoted, so that was good.

Florina: Strength blessing. No Defense/Res point until after 2 levels into promotion. Funny that it largely does not change the way she is meant to be used >_>

Fiora: Had a strength drought for a bit. Picked up after promotion until it got into solid range (around 18 or so) at which point, it was enough. She could use more, but typically did not matter against things I wanted her to kill (squishy mages/archers)

Wil: Ridiculous speed blessing during unpromoted phase. 16 Speed or something ridiculous at level 20. So I kept using him. Speed stopped being godlike, and merely into good range, and ended up pretty lackluster when everyone reached 20/10 or so. But yeah, he was pretty awesome when it lasted.

Canas: Similar to Pris. Got like two +7 stats level ups in a growth, so I decided to use him long term. Then he got nothing but +1 stats in things like Skill and HP. Then picked up again and dropped again >_>. So I just didn't consider him as part of my core team. Decent when he was around. Not that uber compared to the others.

Pent: Is Pent. Meaning he starts off great. Drops towards the end, but doesn't matter because he costs nothing to promote and is awesome when he is around.

Kent/Sain/Rath/Guy/Erk: Had pretty shitty growths for several levels, so I stopped using them after a few level ups

Everyone else was basically abandoned and decided not to use them from the get go. Pretty typical playthrough with the exception of utilizing Matthew fully as a combat unit and a lot of S ranked weapons being used (Oswin had Basilikos, Hector had Regal Blade, Eliwood had Rex Hasta, Lyn had Reinfleche, Mages could use their S ranked tomes (well Pris couldn't, but Pent could)). Which pretty much just reinforced how bad Nergal's durability is. Oh, and did I mention he is vulnerable to ID? Because he is. Although I think the DL knows this and is widely documented elsewhere. Yeah. Nergal for Low Middle.

As an in game tier thing...I have no idea how Matthew manages to be anywhere near High tier. Assassins are a crap class and costs a huge amount of money to promote. Money that you could spend elsewhere and use. The ability to OHKO on a crit at a 50% chance is a really shitty promotion bonus that might as well not even be there. And he loses his thieving utility on Promotion. Unpromoted...he starts getting worse and worse and ends up being an extra warm body which you can't afford to put in harms way. Raven being a Top tier unit surprised no one. He starts off with a ridiculous AS, keeps it for a long time and then gets Axes on promotion. People who argue that Iron Axes weigh him down really have not looked at AS. Is he better then Oswin? Mmm...probably. Oswin kinda lacks the ability for high powered Offense that Raven has. And its not like Raven totally lacks defense either (speed gives him Avoid to work with to start). Hector's held back by late promotion, so Raven > Oswin > Hector seems pretty clear to me. Don't remember the GFAQs list, but GFAQs. Eliwood is a real oddball - completely dependent on how his growths go because he is so in the middle. Not sure how Lyn isn't considered a High tier unit - although 20k promotion costs + strength being iffy can be an argument. Then again, A Florina exists and is super quick. Hmm...

FF7 Crisis Core: Up to Nibelheim. Forgot why I stopped playing this. What I really like is how they manage to keep the FF7 points up without completely Retconning themselves in the face (they even manage to keep portions of the script the same!) which is pretty cool and serves well as a prequel. Gameplay could use work, but hey. Can't win em all.

Thanksgiving means time for videogames

FF4 - Got to the Moon.  At least this time there's some sort of warning of Kain's betrayal at the end of the cave with his thought bubble.  Still stupid.  I think I wasn't supposed to get Leviathan before losing Kain, though, as the Feymarch was pretty difficult and every other dungeon has been a breeze.

Gonna sidequest a little after getting FuSoYa but probably going to wait to have Kain back to do Odin.  I'll see.  Augment setup is ridiculous still; replacing Brace with Reach on Cecil and tossing him in the back row makes it so I don't even have to pay attention to most randoms.  Phoenix on Kain means I don't have to pay attention to ANY randoms for a good length of time.  I'm trying to come up with a good setup for Edge, but I haven't felt like toying around with Augments the past couple days.

Bloons Tower Defense 4:  2 Maps beaten on Hard.  Game is far more forgiving now that I have access to all the weapons.  Certainly made the pincushion towers better.  I suck at TD though so I think I may be done with the game; all the other maps I haven't beaten yet keep shutting me out around round 40.  Maybe I should go down to Medium?  I don't know if I even unlock anything past Rank 31, and that was my main incentive to keep playing the game.

KoL:  6 more Lucre!...

Phantom Brave - Interesting little game, definately feels like it was made before Disgaia, though the gameplay feels deeper if only because of the way the confine/equipping system works.  Currently on Chapter 2, level with the first annoying guest who exists only to chuck stuff off the map.

Torment - What better way to celebrate a sparkly new hard drive with a PC Game.  Doing a Lawful good playthrough this time, so no finding the secret way out of the mortuary via taunting the deadies to find the one who isn't.  On the otherhand, I've just talked my way through most of the sections so far.  Playing a Mage makes this far more viable as outside of a 12 Con and bottoming out at 10, I've put my focus on Wis/Int/Cha, and it shows.  Currently making my way through the weeping catacombs with one journal gotten.  The weeping catacombs, for their part, are going less well since fewer things are inclined to talk, and I've only got 6 Magic Missiles, as well as two Ice Daggers.  Dunno which group I'm going to prefer dealing with.  Probably Dead Nation since they're more inclined to talk, and less inclined to want to take over the surface if they rule the catacombs.

Thought so, but I doubt the facts will stand in the way of knowing, becuase Dis 1 feels more polished.  I forget exactly what it is at the moment, but there's something that felt pretty significant that Dis 1 did right, and PB didn't.

Torment being Torment you can get away with mostly Physicals even with a Mage for a very long time (And rats are best dealt with by stomping anyway, they have no HP).  Dead Nations path is the better choice.  Stop using Ice Daggers since if you aren't using Platter's bug fix patches (Google it and use it) Ice Daggers has a nasty bug with the THAC0 reduction that can make it permanent and uh you don't want to hit your guys with that.  Platter fiddled with it I believe and just gave up and replaced all instances of Ice Daggers with Adder's Kiss which works just as well for a level 2 spell and was previously only otherwise castable with items (which were never worth using).

Huh, wierd.  But yeah, I'll swap that then, since I've got Adder's Kiss sitting in my spellbook as well.  And yes, I am stomping as well (notably, one of my spells prepped is Fists of Iron for precicely that purpose.  Should probably also consider mixing Strength of One back in) since it's very necessary.  Spells can't do much besides very accurate ranged damage at this point.

On another note, can't wait until I get through here and can get my hands on a healer.

As an in game tier thing...I have no idea how Matthew manages to be anywhere near High tier.

Tier lists assume he isn't promoted and aren't judging him on combat worth, mainly (except for some earlygame goodness when he's the only one who can double besides Guy). I still think he's overrated, but I understand the arguments - he's the only way to get a bunch of stuff before Dragon's Gate.
