Team Battle- Team Zophar. Seems like a Judgment hits, and unless SH3 status blockers are crap, Ricardo doesn't get Mudooned and lives to drop some ludicrious buff on his side. Zophar should be able to pick up the slack from there.

Later for pools, they hurt my brainmeats.

Bonus Match: Fab Five. You have all the elements you need to stop a riot of the entire DL- Master schemers (x2), Raw power (x2), and absolutely ludicrous determination combined with luck (also x2). Nate plans to send Edge and Justin to key points where it would be practically impossible to do their tasks and watches them come through. Rune keeps hopping around IDing key inciters from range, and Yuna takes care of the heavy hitters.

Team Zophar. Zophar/Ted wipe out Lassic before he can move, Rutee silences Gale, and Ricardo can... uh.. he had buffs I think? Oh right. HE CAN RESTORE MP. JUDGEMENT SPAM AHOY. Jenna doesn't have a chance in hell of soloing this, and she has to Bhavaira Rutee first, as she can revive.

Heavy/Godlike: Scias, Zog, Ash, Sierra, Lassic, Ted

How I'm voting:

Ted: 4-1
Ash: 3-2
Sierra: 3-2
Scias: 2-3
Lassic: 2-3
Zog: 0-5

Woah.  Okay! Ted crushes the field besides for Sierra, who can halve darkness and has parastic healing. If Ted goes for SL, she still wins due to having a better physical. Gooo fixed thunder rune? Sierra beats the rest besides for Scias, who outlasts her MP. Ash crush puny bosses and outlasts Scias. Scias fries horribly to Lassic and should just eke it out against Zog if he does resist fire. Vote changes if he doesn't.  Lassic goes first and beats Zog- both are weak to each other's best attacks, so that speed advantage is what wins it.

How I think it'll go:

Ted and Lassic up, Scias and Zog down.

Middle/Heavy: Jowy, Guy, Ryudo, Rudy, Gale, Rutee

How I'll vote:

Jowy>Guy>Rutee>Gale>Rudy>Ryudo. Feels like a pretty obvious tiering of fighters: Jowy's a high heavy and beats the shit out of the field, Guy is against.. fighters! And a status whore who has to check against evasion in game! Chop chop.  Rutee beat Gale already and beats the always scrubby Rudy and Ryudo.  Rudy's tanky and beats Ryudo.

How I think it'll go: See above. Rudy may keep Gale down. Ryudo is doomed.

Light/Middle: Fina, Mareg, Enrique, Mia, Joker, Ricardo

How I'll vote:

...

..........

Uh. Joker and Enrique in light, rest up. Am not thinking on this besides for that.

Blar. Ricardo isn't the worse Light champ we've had.

Team Jenna vs Team Zophar- Team Zophar

Heavy/Godlike: Scias, Zog, Ash, Sierra, Lassic, Ted
Scias loses to Zog (wouldn't if Zog was elementally weak instead of magic weak!), I think, beats Ash (Sleep Ash, Focus until he's ready to smash). Could see arguments otherwise. He beats Sierra (He blocks ID), he's faster, has healing, heal locking, status. Unsure on Lassic. Loses to Ted who is a mighty 1% faster or something.
Zog loses to Ash after a hell of a lot of time, Sierra drains him, Lassic...weakness battle! Unsure there, and Ted crushes.
Ash loses to Sierra, beats Lassic, loses to Ted.
Sierra beats Lassic and Ted. Lassic wishes again that he had Darkness resist.

Sierra 4-1
Ted 4-1
Scias 2-2
Ash 2-3
Zog 1-3
Lassic 0-3

Middle/Heavy: Jowy, Guy, Ryudo, Rudy, Gale, Rutee
Jowy beats all the Heavies, but probably not the Middle upgraders unless Gale and Rutee's status hit rates have been overembelished. Neither S1 or S3 use Mdef as the status check, so I highly doubt S2 does. Jowy gets ID or Rutee heals off until the opening for silence comes.
Guy beats the rest but Gale.
Ryudo loses to all.
Rudy beats Ryudo.

Gale 4-1
Rutee 4-1
Jowy 3-2
Guy 3-2
Rudy 1-4
Ryudo 0-5

Light/Middle: Fina, Mareg, Enrique, Mia, Joker, Ricardo
Fina beats Mareg, Enrique, and Mia by way of Stone. Joker and Ricardo beats her by immuning it.
Mareg beats Enrique (Enrique misses the 3HKO there, Mareg doesn't), loses to Mia, beats Joker I think, and loses to Ricardo.
Enrique loses to Mia (yeah, going with the "She has average damage view" since removing one spell from all PCs just because...yeah, doesn't make sense), unsure about Joker, and loses to Ricardo.
Mia beats Joker and Ricardo.

Ricardo 4-1
Mia 4-1
Fina 3-2
Mareg 2-3
Joker 1-3
Enrique 0-4

Shouldn't Guy be 3-2 then? (Beat Rutee and the two scrubs). I don't see Rutee losing to anyone else in your pool.

Team Zophar.
Just too much going for them.

Ted and Zophar can blast anyone they want, or practically wipe out the entire opponent team except Jenna.
Ricardo can bloody REGENERATE MP. WITH TED ON HIS TEAM.
Rutee has revive, and nothing else i suppose.

Team Zophar. - The most powerful duelers of season 40 from each division vs. the second best.

Middle/Heavy: Jowy, Guy, Ryudo, Rudy, Gale, Rutee

Rudy beats Ryudo.

Gale 4-1
Rutee 4-1
Jowy 3-2
Guy 3-2
Rudy 1-4
Ryudo 0-5

Am I missing something here? How does Ryudo go 0-5 with Gale in the group? At the very least...

Ryudo goes first (he's quicker, one way or another) and exploits Gale's weakness through an already bigtime damage move. Not that Ryudo really needs to target weakness to OHKO anyway.

Tenseiken Slash- 2350 physical. Cancel effect (for what it's worth)
Flying Tenseiken- 3800 physical.
Purple Lightning- 3200. Lightning element.
Sky Dragon Slash- 4500 physical. All

Average PCHP: 2960

Gale has below average HP. Thus goes BOOM!

You're absolutely insane if you're using PC HP averages to determine damage done against others. By that rule, this means nearly the entirety of the CT cast overkills each other and XG's entire cast DEFINITELY does. Ryudo's damage is 4500 to a damage average of nearly 4000, which means he doesn't even 2HKO average, let alone OHKO anything short of a lategame WA4 boss. The Lightning damage thing is actually a point for the match, but saying Ryudo OHKOs things is "what".

What it does mean for this match is that Gale is taking 9600 damage once Ryudo gets a turn (1.5 weaknessx2 for Press Turn), and arguing that THAT kills Gale and that Ryudo goes first are both plausible arguments, although I'm not sure how many people would buy it.

Granted, I already voted, so meh.

You have been on the forums for almost 3 years, have you never listened to anything a single person has freaking said?  I don't care if you vote based on that, why the hell would you express suprise at other people using averaged damage scales for PC damage?

You even made a good case for Ryudo to win anyway, that match big time comes down to how people interpret DDS weakness (see the arguments surrounding it for the last few weeks of voting) and I do believe it is even siding with the more popular part on the forums that will give Ryudo the extra turns for exploiting the weakness.

Mmm, will have to decide how much I respect Gale's ID then. Purple Lightning does make it a match.

Heavy/Godlike: Scias, Zog, Ash, Sierra Lassic, Ted

Ted outspeeds and OHKOs everyone except Zog, whom he 2HKOs, and Sierra, who has dark resist. Kaboom, up you go. 4-1

Sierra drains Zog to death, and I doubt Lassic can really stop her either. Beats Ted with ID, Ash with ID... what the hell? That leaves Scias, who... statuses her and then double SBs? Sure. 4-1

Ash beats Zog with doubleturns at worst, ditto Lassic. Countering Shiningblade takes away Scias' only chance. 3-2

Zog heal-locks Scias with one of his two spells, most likely. Doubles aren't enough with Scias MP reserves. He also beats Lassic with his better HP. (Otherwise the two are way too similar here.) 2-3

Lassic eats Scias well enough, I think. 1-4

Scias inexplicably beats Sierra. 1-4

Middle/Heavy: Jowy, Guy, Ryudo, Rudy, Gale

Jowy smash everyone. OHKOs Guy (one evade won't help), rest aren't even close. OHKOs Gale (and damnit, Mudo hits SOME stat, Jowy pretty much rules at all of them, it is not freaking turn 1 here even if it is normally. Which it isn't). 4-0

Guy shreds the rest. Easy. 3-1

Gale probably beats Rudy? Weird. 1-3

Rudy outslugs Ryudo. 1-3

Ryudo does indeed one-round Gale. 1-3

Light/Middle: Mareg, Joker, Ricardo

Ricardo 2-0
Mareg 1-1
Joker 0-2

What the fuck.

Erwin Schrödinger will kill you like a cat in a box.
Maybe.
