Personally, this is pretty close to the best possible finals given the halves. Top tier tracks, both of them. Actually the entirety of top 16 except Moonlight Tango is on my playlist.

Gonna give it to Silver Will here. Remilia only hits its best stride in the second half, while Silver Will is Excellence throughout.

- Awesome finals.  Better than the last tourney's!  Think Silver Will barely edges it here, though I could change my mind later.

Touhou Violin 2 - Symphony "Remilia" Op. 22 (Embodiment of Scarlet Devil) vs Falcom jdk Band 2008 Spring - Silver Will (The Legend of Heroes Sora no Kiseki 1st) - This is pretty clear-cut for me. Remilia is a medley of mediocrity that should have lost several rounds ago while Silver Will is a consistently good track that has continued to impress me throughout the competition. This match is not even remotely close, in my opinion.

Alternately: beautiful fucking violins.

Symphony "Remilia" Op. 22 vs Silver Will - Of all the spectacular tracks in the tournament, we end up with none of them in the finals... at least these two are decent. Could have been worse and had some Creid still in I suppose, but still.

As for the winner, it was one of the worst pieces going into the final eight, but it showed that on the internet, mediocrity is the way to success.

You hadn't learned that yet with places like 4Chan being around?

Didn't vote, but listened to some of the tracks here and there when I was bored/doing work. Liked both of the finalists, I dunno if I could've decided which was better. Probably would've had to go with the winner though.  Like Excal says though, I remember hearing songs from the past that I thought were better, but hey! I didn't vote so I'll just shut up :)

Nice going Tonfa with the tourney!
