Edit: BoF5's good on internal and has always struggled. GS of all things has been the opposite. Why Saturos can succeed.. well, whatever.

We never rank things right after they come out - if something makes it under six months, it's likely been an unusually viral game in the group. Typically we're closer to a year wait, but we've gone much further in the past. SD3 was a decade, Pokemon GSC/RSE was half that, same with Legaia 2, etc. This has never seemed to affect DL success of a game.</i>

SD3 and GSC's issues keeping it out of the DL had nothing to do with age or drawing, and had to do with specific issues. If we were to rank KH this period, it'd be because enough people decided the interp issues didn't justify keeping it out. Legaia 2 was an internal ranking by and large.  It's age was a strike against it, but... it managed to do just well enough with the good internal to make it workable in the DL. Having an extremely memorable DL cast helps as well, which CM has going for it.

I've went back and looked hard at everything we've ranked since late 2004, and you're right. Every single title (BoF5 excepted, that game has issues with it's boss cast) has done well that's had the internal, even fairly hardcore ideas like DDS. Switching to a yes on MMXCM, abstain on bosses.

All of golden sun "succeeds." It's not one of those games where casuals antivote it, it always does as good as or better than you'd expect. When it loses, it earns its losses.

Face it, it's a popular game outside of the DL.

Endgame PCs:  Yes.  I don't really need to explain this one, do I?  Well, maybe the Italicized section...
Final Boss and the Cadre (Epsilon, Scarface, Ferham, and Botos):  Abstain.  Tal's wisdom guides me here, that until I see the issues for myself it would be better to just go with what I know (the PCs).
Shadow:  Also Abstain.  Here, I don't think it's right to let a mid-game boss (albeit with enough plot to justify) in when I'm not letting the Finals in.  The rest of the Cadre also outranks him in this regard, IMO.
Anyone not mentioned above:  No.  A BIG NO to Hippopressor.  I mean, we might as well have Croco and/or Belome (both from SMRPG) as FWs in 4 months.  (That having been said, Hippopressor deserves to be in NR, if we get that back up...)

Oh, and Spoilerish reasons for the Emphasis:

Okay.  Everything that I've read that deals with the endgame gives me a good reason not to rank a certain temp.  Which raises a question which I can ask because I have played Lufia 1:  "Why is Lufia (the Character) ranked when Erim is?"  My Nay vote in the case of that Temp is to prevent the DL from getting another "Lufia".  If I'm wrong, I'll be the first to Nom this guy as a FW.

2. Abstain. I don't mind Naesala but the potential for the stupid boss form could arise if ranked FE9 only and that bothers me a fair bit. I doubt I'd mind him though.
